"The windmill and annex building were great. The walled courtyard was really nice. I was not thrilled with the town itself but this being just outside of town made the stay very enjoyable. The host was very easy to communicate with and seemed really nice. If I were to stay in the area again I would stay here. Very enjoyable!"

"Hotellet är lite "surf style" och lite slitet. Ligger bra och trevlig personal, men rummen (iaf vårt familjerum) var ganska slite. Stenhårda sängar men bra utrymmen. Helt ok pool och trevligt med padelbana (som vi spelade fotbollstennis i) Lite småsnålt att ta betalt för safety box och extra kaffekapslar (fick 2 vid incheckning? Läget är helt perfekt om man vill gå in till stan eller till den magiskt fina stranden."

"A quiet, relaxing and rustic stay in a beautiful area and great surroundings. Whilst not in Milfontes ( actually just outside Circal) it is a great centre for touring the area and visiting Milfontes, Porto Cova, Silves and many of the smaller coves and villages. The house itself was spotlessly clean and a great place for your holiday."

"We had a lovely holiday in the villa. The house is very big, the bedrooms are large and the beds were comfortable. The pool is very big and luxurious, with enough shade from the parasols. The surroundings were quiet, we had lovely views of the hills and were quite close (30 min drive) to multiple beaches. The nearest shops are 10-15 minutes away by car, which was very handy. A minor warning though: the water comes from an artesian well and contains iron and sulphur, which takes some getting...

"We had no idea what to expect from our trip to the Alentejo region of Portigal. Francisco was a super communicative host, gave us restaurant recommendations and answered any questions we had. We absolutely loved staying in Lago Formosa with its own cute restaurants and 10 minute easy walk to the beach where there were two other cute restaurants. We would definitely come back!"

"Five-star hotel with true five-star service! The staff were very helpful and accommodating, and went out their way to make our stay enjoyable. Facilities are stunning (on newer side) and good amenities with tennis/paddle/pickelball courts, gym and heated pool. Only thing missing for a five-star hotel at that price range would be a sauna and/or steam room. Breakfast was included and very good. Would stay again."
