WiFi connection strong. Hotel room neat and tidy. Check in and out were smooth and quick. Beach was clean. A few pools for people to choose from. Breakfast was not bad but too busy at peak times that the hotel is struggling to manage. Staff were mostly very friendly. Had dinner at the Chinese restaurant but their champagne glasses had a toxic smell which is totally unacceptable.

Dans l’ensemble, notre séjour au Marriott Sanya a été très agréable. Les chambres étaient confortables, l’hôtel était propre et le service était de bonne qualité. Cependant, deux points m’ont déçu. Tout d’abord, je n’apprécie pas la politique de l’hôtel consistant à demander une caution importante (dépôt de garantie) lors de l’enregistrement. Ensuite, j’ai eu l’impression que le personnel surveillait constamment les clients, ce qui ne permet pas de se sentir totalement à l’aise et détendu pendant le séjour. En dehors de ces deux points, l’expérience était positive et l’hôtel reste une bonne adresse.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel in bester Lage mit einem direkten Zugang zum Meer. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber. Wir haben uns für die Deluxe-Suite mit Meerblick entschieden..ein Traum! Das Frühstücksbüffet lässt keine Wünsche offen. Der öffentliche Strand ist etwas eng aber frei und lang genug zum Laufen oder zum Spazieren. Das Hotel hält genug Liegen für seiner Gäste bereit. In der Nähe des Hotels sind kleine „Restaurants“ und ein Supermarkt. Alles Top! Wir kommen wieder!

Good location but needs some TLC

We checked in and was given a room on the second floor but smoking was allowed on the floor but we were promised an uppgrade to a non smoking floor on the next day. Not really an upgrade only moving 2 floors up. The room was Ok but the breakfast area needs some TLC and staff knowledge of English was quite bad. The pool area which is quite big needs a complete renovation, a lot of things have been fixed by plastic padding. The food at the Japanese restaurant is good but you need to find the right waiter to fix the wine, the first night we got recomended a nice white from NZ and when we came back a few days later another waitress said they sold the last bottle so started looking for something else and a new waiter came and asked about the wine and he had another look and found another bottle. So you just need to find the right waiter. The Fish bar by the beach is nice for lunch and dinner and try the local shrimp ans fish. Also good service but sometime language challanges.

Great hotel, not so good "uprade".

Got a good package deal with a really nice Japanese dinner included. Breakfast is good quality. Only thing was my "upgrade" that went to a higher level floor, but overlooking a maintenance area instead of the ocean view. Also had the AC machines ontop of my balcony who made a lot of noice.. I was already settled and unpacked when I noticed this unfortunately. Staff is very friendly and service minded. Beach is clean and I highly recommend this resort.
