The staff was very attentive and thoughtful. The spa was incredible, I had the best massage I’ve ever experienced. The grounds were beautiful, the facility is clean, gorgeous and well designed. The onsen was great too.

Amazing ryokan. Everything was top notch, from the meals to the warm hospitality of the staff members. I can’t find anything remotely wrong with our stay and highly recommend Chalet Ivy to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable stay at one of the best ryokans in Japan. Many, many thanks to all the staff who made our stay special, and especially to Mayumi! (Visited with family members in early August.)

Chalet Ivy Jozankei went above and beyond our expectations. The deluxe room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed every details they had in the room, common area and restaurant. The staff were all super friendly and nice. We will definitely recommend Chalet Ivy to all of our friends and family. The dinner and breakfast meals were amazing. We had such an incredible time here that We didn’t want to leave!

Friendly staff, nice spacious room with gorgeous view, private Onsen bath inside the room, 24hour lounge with local snacks and beverage. Amazing.property and staff. Not westernized, so either ask for.a.western breakfast, or get the traditional japonese. Our.corner.room.has a spa hot spring feed tub! A M A Z I N G! Its a little.drive from Sapporro, so.plan.a typical.chalet.on the riverside stay, or aboit $100 taxi to the big city. Great food, and the local town has a couple unique restaurants and coffee.shops. Japan.at its original finest! If tour seeing this.part.of Japan, I recommemd a stay here - we were 3 days, and with the SPA treatment, simply cant stop celebrating the choice
