"We booked studio flat rooms but not anywhere on Expedia it states those room are 100m away from the hotel built underneath residential flats. We woke up to people cooking everyday and the smell was horrible. The music by the pool was so loud everyday not sure the reason as people come on holiday to relax. "Clean hotel with English-speaking staff. Beach was nice, and hotel includes 2 sunbeds and umbrella. We didn't eat at the restaurant (due to poor reviews), but did have the breakfast, which was ok (and included). Drinks seemed a bit overpriced for the area. Waited for a drink once for 45 minutes, only to find out they had to go the store for ingredients (but didn't tell us). Staff at restaurant were nice as well, and changed our drink order without problem. Would stay here again for this...

"This place is absolute perfection!!! Worth every penny and I wished we of booked a few more days!! It’s a beautiful property and the staff is beyond helpful and accommodating!!! The front desk ladies were wonderful as was the whole staff in general from the servers pool/beach side, Andre as well, along with the wonderful housekeeping staff and the whole entire front desk people! They made our stay, the amenities are top notch, service was too and the front desk were beyond helpful, and kind; they assisted us with taxis and places when we asked and just went above and beyond! We received everything that was promised in the Expedia marketing (which to be honest hasn’t been the case at every place)- by far the absolute best experience- we couldn’t have been more pleased!! Parking was safe and secure and it’s located perfectly! We will be back- thanks to all of you for making our honeymoon vacation perfect; we are forever grateful!!!"

"An amazing hotel to stay at while in Sarandë, and everything is good about this hotel and provides excellent value for money and would highly recommend a stay here. The staff are the loveliest people you will meet, super helpful and very polite and welcoming. The rooms though very small, yet super comfortable and well furnished. Free Parking is provided at a lot merely a 2 minute walk from the hotel. There are a couple of private beaches right outside the hotel, though they are paid yet you get discount for being a guest at Hotel Portanova. Below is the detailed review: Location: The hotel is at the farthest end of Sarandë and is right next to beaches and water. Everything from the city is at a 5 ~ 10 minute drive. The streets are narrow but manageable. Plenty of restaurants and stores/super markets at walking distance. Rooms: The rooms are small yet have all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The mattress and pillows are really comfortable and soft. There is ample open closet space, and a Refrigerator in the room. Both bedsides have power outlets, bedside lamps, and usb c outlets. There is a small flat screen TV in the room. Each room comes with a balcony, would recommend a room with sea view as it’s amazing. Soundproofing is not good as you can hear everything from the hallway but no noise was heard from other rooms. Bathroom: The bathroom is small but everything is modern and works well. The water pressure on 4th Floor was really good. The shower cabin has one side"

"This is a beautiful, modern, exceptionally clean hotel run by Silvana and helped by her nephew Valerio. From the moment we entered, we were greeted like family friends and they couldn't have done any more to make us feel at home. They were so hospitable and welcoming. We stayed in the family suite (2 bedroom) ample space for 2 adults and teen. My son loved having his own bedroom and space. We stayed 2 nights. We would also like to give gratitude to the breakfast ad bar staff who were equally friendly. In the bar you get to watch a beautiful sunset, it was amazing. The seafood linguine was tasty and well presented."
