"The room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The only downside is that a bed at the beach isn’t included, you get a 20% discount on the beds which ended up costing around £25 a day for 2 beds."

"An amazing hotel to stay at while in Sarandë, and everything is good about this hotel and provides excellent value for money and would highly recommend a stay here. The staff are the loveliest people you will meet, super helpful and very polite and welcoming. The rooms though very small, yet super comfortable and well furnished. Free Parking is provided at a lot merely a 2 minute walk from the hotel. There are a couple of private beaches right outside the hotel, though they are paid yet you get discount for being a guest at Hotel Portanova. Below is the detailed review: Location: The hotel is at the farthest end of Sarandë and is right next to beaches and water. Everything from the city is at a 5 ~ 10 minute drive. The streets are narrow but manageable. Plenty of restaurants and stores/super markets at walking distance. Rooms: The rooms are small yet have all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The mattress and pillows are really comfortable and soft. There is ample open closet space, and a Refrigerator in the room. Both bedsides have power outlets, bedside lamps, and usb c outlets. There is a small flat screen TV in the room. Each room comes with a balcony, would recommend a room with sea view as it’s amazing. Soundproofing is not good as you can hear everything from the hallway but no noise was heard from other rooms. Bathroom: The bathroom is small but everything is modern and works well. The water pressure on 4th Floor was really good. The shower cabin has one side"

"This is a beautiful, modern, exceptionally clean hotel run by Silvana and helped by her nephew Valerio. From the moment we entered, we were greeted like family friends and they couldn't have done any more to make us feel at home. They were so hospitable and welcoming. We stayed in the family suite (2 bedroom) ample space for 2 adults and teen. My son loved having his own bedroom and space. We stayed 2 nights. We would also like to give gratitude to the breakfast ad bar staff who were equally friendly. In the bar you get to watch a beautiful sunset, it was amazing. The seafood linguine was tasty and well presented."

"The property is a nice 20 minute walk to the promenade with lots of restaurants/bars/shops along the way. There is an area with beach chairs and cute bar down by the water on a platform. There is a very small “beach” where you are able to walk into the water. The pool is very deep but nice (bring a floaty). Breakfast was nice and the restaurant on site we enjoyed. The staff was great and the food was lovely! Couple weird things… you can’t bring outside food in to your room or by the beach. I found that very strange. Also when I returned my wet beach towels I was told I should be keeping them multiple days. At the price point I found it rude and she was not pleasant in general. Everyone else was extremely nice. Overall we liked the hotel but if I had to plan again I may go with something with an actual beach closer to the promenade. It’s a little misrepresented by the description but definitely checks all the boxes."

"Amazing stay, the property was well above expectations and the views were breathtaking. The room was lovely and very modern, it was well cleaned everyday. The breakfast was really nice with a wide variety of choice, the drinks from the bar were also lovely - special mention to Samuel who couldn’t have done more to help us throughout our stay going above and beyond to make sure we had any drinks we wanted and helping in any other way he could always with a smile on his face. Would definitely return."
