Breakfast was a joke. Tiny mid croissants, plain bread, and some boiled eggs for $11 euros a person. Lol. Location is extremely convenient. Staff is nice but is present for about 2 hours of the day. Room had no tissues. Could hear people next door.

Sarlat is a beautiful city, and La Villa des Consuls is an equally beautiful hotel. It has everything: wonderful/helpful staff, brilliant location, excellent service, and great breakfast. Staying at La Villa des Consuls made our visit to Sarlat and the surrounding area memorable.

Conveniently located hotel. Nice courtyard parking nearby for a fee. Room was large- nice to hear cathedral bells ringing. Kitchen was outdated and we couldn’t figure out coffee ma hone but didn’t need it as shops and cafes just steps away we are on top floor- narrow staircase

There is a bar next door which was quite noisy on the weekend. Self serve breakfast had good breads, yogurt, fruits and nuts, but coffee was a machine. Our room had nice terrace overlooking Main Street. Polite staff.

Great location amd comfortable apartment on the ground floor. Balcony over the main street was an unexpected plus. If you come by car note you cannot get close to the hotel and need to park on Av Charles de Gaulle. Also suggest staying Saturday morning where the whole ciry is taken over by an incredible market selling food, souveniers and many things.

La Villa des Consuls is located in the heart of old Sarlat, with all the amenities that entails. The staff is nice and helpful, putting us in touch with a great guide and setting up our taxis to and from the rail station. Breakfast is tasty and reasonably priced, but above all, our two bedroom room was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. It also included a usable kitchen and a small balcony overlooking the main commercial street. Despite that, it was quiet. I highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful location to experience the central area

We loved the hotel! We had a separate bedroom for our daughter and plenty of room to spread out. As mentioned by others the parking garage available for a daily price is a few blocks away but overall not a huge inconvenience. We would definitely stay there again if in that area.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The brand new room was lovely. My only complaint is that although the bedroom and separate living area has good room darkening draperies, the bathroom had a sheer window covering. We could see people walking one the street below through them, so we knew they could also see us with the light on, so we couldn't dress or shower in there during hours with din lighting.

The La Villa Consuls is a historic property and right in the hearts of Sarlat. Very spacious with high ceilings and beautiful wood floors. The kitchen and bath are a little dated but had every convenience and more. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return. Very courteous and approachable staff.

This two bedroom apt was a highlight of our trip. My sons enjoyed having their own bedroom, and I loved how bright any airy the apt was. The location is perfect. I emailed the hotel in advance and they booked us a garage spot a ten min walk away, which was necessary. We loved our stay in beautiful Sarlat!
