An exceptional hotel. Fantastic value, wonderful ambience but, most importantly, truly professional, friendly and committed staff - they are outstanding! Ieva, Elisabeth, Paulina and the team cannot be faulted, they provide exceptional service and definitely deliver a “home from home” experience.

Worst bathroom / Best breakfast

10 day visit around Norway staying in different places. Worst bathroom on trip. Shower was not built in, with only a shower curtain, which did not prevent water flooding the bathroom. Best breakfast on trip. The buffet was excellent, with a good variety of hot and cold food. Good, central location and relaxed atmosphere

Problems and complains when we tried to check in with a dog even if it’s a pet friendly hotel. Worst service, worst facilities, no amenities for kids. Night before we stayed in Scandic Helsingborg and the experience was fantastic!! So we were expecting same here. Breakfast in Sarpsborg was good, small place but good food and ok selection. Personal was really helpful!!

You have to pay for breakfast. And you have to for the parking, they did not info us parking at hotel is not free. 10 minutes walking away there is parking cost 32kr for 24 h, as hotel charge for 150kr. If you are staying long, recommend the kommune parking.

Like many hotels the temperature in the room is too hot for sleeping. You can open the window but this won't help the climat.

Bad service- stay away!

I never managed to get to the hotel as they were fully booked - after having accepted to booking! I received a text message when I was almost there telling me that they were sorry but they could not accept me - but had rebooked me in another hotel. When I arrived at the “Hotel 1016” I was charged the price as per Scandic only to find out that 1) the hotel was a dump! And 2) I could have booked the same hotel in the app for half of what I paid! The room was dirty, had cracked class in the window (could not be opened as there was a danger of it falling out). I was so annoyed I went to Scandic to complain, but they only said they were sorry. I am NOT a happy customer and want a full refund. There is no way in hell I can ever recommend staying in any of the hotels again!!!!!

Första gången som jag stanna i denna hotellet, med väldigt fin ingång samt vänliga personal vid in checkningen. Det som var dåligt vad i 5:e våningen som jag bodde luktade väldigt illa i korridoren, en konstigt unket. Det är inte heller prisvärt att stanna där, kostade över 2000 Nok för en natt och ändå ingick det inga frukost. Det var mycket bättre innan en prisvärt hotel kedja som jag bruka stanna och har bott i över 100 övernattningar i Scandic, men nu kommer jag att välja andra hotel istället.

God plassering men dårlig renhold

God plassering med kort vei til sentrums restauranter. Gode senger og ok frokost. Men dårlig renhold trekker ned helhetsinntrykket. Mugg på dusjkabinett. Støv rundt om kring og flekker på veggene på badet. Gangene har en spesiell lukt av gammelt gulvteppe.
