The first thing I need to mention is we stayed in a smoking room and it was only because it was the only room I could find that was within our price range. The room even after cleaning, completely smelled of smoke and it would get better or worse depending on our neighbors. The room itself wasn't too bad but it had seen better days with stains on the carpets and lamp shades. The bed was nice if you don't mind it being hard and the sheets + comforter were comfortable. The room isn't very big, which contained 2 beds, a nightstand, and a long table. There is a hanger space when you enter the room on your right and a small bathroom in front the door. In all honesty, my family spent as little time in the room as possible. The bright side of this stay was really the service and hospitality of the staff. They were all wonderful and a few even spoke very good English. Can't say enough about how nice the staff here were! Breakfast here was nice if you opt into it but fair warning, it is very Japanese. Breakfast consists of pickled veggies(not a fan), rice, miso soup, fish (cold), soft scrambled egg (cold), and a natto mixture I did not touch(not a fan). I thought it was great but my wife and daughter were not fans. They were very appreciative though that the hotel provided drink coupons each day that could be redeemed for tea, juice, beer, or wine, which was very nice. Overall, if you need a good, cheap place to stay, this will do it if you can get a non-smoking room.
