Sitting atop 5 acres of verdant Hudson Valley terrain, this 2,500SF log cabin was designed and furnished with guests' enjoyment and relaxation in mind. Whether you like cooking gourmet meals for large groups or romantic dinners for 2, BBQ'ing on 1 of our 2 gas grills (one for inclement weather), sunbathing in a recliner on the lawn, sitting in front of a wood stove, watching Netflix, listening to a Hi-Fi stereo, doing yoga or soaking in a 6' tub, here in the Catskills you'll find every opportunity to unwind and restore your spirits.
This log cabin is ideally suited for hosting a yoga retreat, a family get-together or a birthday/anniversary celebration. Whether you're looking to escape for a weekend, a week or a month, the place will provide you with the necessary respite and soothe your soul. The kitchen is truly a chef's dream and boasts a 36" Miele refrigerator, Wolf double ovens, Bosch induction cooktop, Subzero wine refrigerator, and All-Clad pots & pans. After the meal, you can relax in front of a Jøtul wood stove while watching Netflix, Hulu, HBO or Amazon Prime on the 77" LG OLED ThinQ TV. Feel like playing your favorite music instead? Just turn on the Sonos stereo and enjoy the stunning performance of your favorite music coming through the speakers. How about sunbathing? You'll have plenty of options! Just plunk down in a recliner or an Adirondack chair and relax! Want to stargaze through a skylight while soaking in a 72" copper tub? You can do that too! Should you require to do some work, on the other hand, there's also a comfortable desk and chair available for you. Finally, there are 2 high-capacity gas grills with 4 burners each, including a Genesis E410 with 48,000 BTU's right outside the house so you can BBQ to your heart's content. Everything here was designed with your enjoyment in mind! You'll also find the privacy and rare tranquility of the place refreshing. Our log house is located in one of the most picturesque and fun-filled areas of the Hudson Valley. You're within a 10-minute drive of Kingston, NY, the 1st capital of New York State, which happens to have an impressive array of restaurants. Hudson, Rhinebeck, Red Hook, Woodstock and New Paltz are also popular destinations and are within a 1short drive. All these places have lots of exciting restaurants that feature locally grown ingredients and farm-to-table cooking. Between those nearby towns and Saugerties, you'll be busy eating out, visiting local farms and vineyards and enjoying other activities such as hiking, shopping, horse-back riding, golfing, playing tennis, boating, sunbathing and having all sorts of fun.
Guests to the equestrian Horse Shows in the Sun (HITS) events in the summer will find the house conveniently located in the same town of Saugerties as the shows themselves.
The breathtaking Kaaterskill Waterfalls are in the vicinity as is the spectacular Overlook Mountain - both famous hiking & bird-watching destinations.
Saugerties Lighthouse is nearby too and is renown for its beauty, with a trail excellent for bird-watching leading up to it.
Mountain Top Arboretum is a short ride away also with its natural beauty, classes for adults and kids and trails to hike on.
Esopus Creek is not only well known for its fly-fishing in the Hudson Valley and the Catskills but far, far beyond.
The nearby North-South Lake, a 1,100-acre oasis near Palenville, New York is famous for its hiking trails, swimming beaches, and small boat rentals.
The Sunset Rock / South Taconic Trail provides a reasonably challenging hike along some of the most scenic vistas in the Catskills.

To put your mind at ease, we recently installed a whole-house generator with a 500-gallon propane tank - enough to power the house for a week in case of an electricity outage (a frequent occurrence in the Hudson Valley).
