Excellent stay. The narrow river in the backyard was so peaceful and calming . Safe and close to most restaurants. Newport is only 25 mins away.

Beautiful Home!

We absolutely loved staying at this home! This house is beautiful and the wide water views were amazing! There are so many pretty birds from song birds to blue jays to egrets and blue herons. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. We had everything we needed. Plenty of towels, blankets, well stocked kitchen, etc. It was like staying with family! We loved the story behind the house and the loving couple that owned it.

Beautiful home

Well appointed home, well stocked kitchen, outdoor space is beautiful. Kayaking was so much fun. Location is wonderful. We visited Newport, did the cliff walk and had a delicious breakfast at belles, all dog friendly. Looking forward to returning. Karen is a wonderful host!

Simply Sublime

A fantastic stay from the initial Vrbo request to check-out from the property. The property owner, Karen, was wonderful to work with when answering questions about mobility features as well as when we had an lockout situation. Special thanks to her property manager, Jenn, who helped us gain access! The property is as advertised, situated on the Pettaquamscutt River which is beautiful to arise to and view the sunset. Overall, the property is well-maintained, stocked fir every need, and in proximity to Newport, Jamestown & plenty of restaurants. While the loft is a bit difficult to walk (I’m 5’9”), we enjoyed the house & riverfront views.

New England beauty

Beautiful River View

This home is beautiful and exceptional and its appointments. There are so many different seating areas that you would be hard-pressed not to find your comfy spot. The beds were soft and comfortable. If you’re looking for a firmer mattress, this would not it. We visited with family and enjoyed our day trips to Newport Block Island and local restaurants. We would definitely rent this property again. We also had the pleasure of watching the URI rowing teams practice practice on the river. It was fun!

Another fantastic stay!

We first stayed here in summer 2022 and this summer returned for a 3 week stay. It was even better this time! Beautiful landscaping improvements made it an even more attractive location. This home is so well equipped and comfortable. Whether looking out at the water from inside or from a seat on the dock, the views are mesmerizing. It’s a great place to kayak and soak up the sun, and it is close to everything! The property owner is wonderful and responsive. We will definitely return for a third visit in the future!

Picture perfect location. Serene. Beautiful view of Narrow River from house and backyard. Went kayaking on lake. House very comfortable. Quiet neighborhood. Would recommend if looking for a restful experience and water sports on lake.

Comfortable, Clean with Great View

One of the best properties I have stayed at during my son’s 4 years at URI. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Karen is a great host. She’s quick to respond to any inquiries and went out of her way to make sure our stay was great. Kitchen was well stocked. Beds are comfortable. Living room is spacious and has great view of the river. Backyard had 5 Adirondack chairs and patio furnitures was there for plenty of seating and great view of the water. Neighborhood is quiet and safe. Do not hesitate to stay at Karen’s property.

Wonderful location!

This property is beautifully located on the water….great dock and lovely view! House is really well equipped. If you like to cook at home, you will find everything you need to prepare meals. Area is close to everything. Highly recommend this rental!!!

Great Riverfront Property

Very nice/bright/clean house with a riverfront dock + 2 kayaks. A/C on main floor and MBR, but not in the finished basement. Small private beach within walking distance. Great location for kayaking/running/biking. Walgreens and convenience stores - 5 minute drive. Full-service grocery store - 15 minute drive. Overall it was a great place to vacation.

Charming, memory-filled home in a picturesque spot on the water.

Just a lovely property with super friendly and accommodating owners. Access the water steps from the living room. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return in the future. Wholeheartedly recommend this home on the Narrow River. Thank you for everything! P.s. if you plan on renting kayaks while you’re here, Narrow River Kayaks was fantastic and will happily drop off and pick up the equipment.
