Find the perfect antidote to a stressful week with this Sautee Nacoochee home's aesthetically pleasing features. Just beyond your doors lies dense, rolling mountain woodlands, offering activities from kayaking, tubing, and fishing to hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing. But if you'd rather stay home, the plethora of amenities here will keep you plenty entertained.
Step into the home and you'll find high vaulted ceilings, wood and stone accents inspired by the natural surroundings, comfortable furnishings, and wilderness themed decor. Kick off your shoes and relax into either of the living area's couches for an afternoon movie on the wall-mounted 55-inch flatscreen smart TV above the custom stone fireplace. Draw the room's curtains for added privacy, or enjoy the beautiful green views out of the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Walk through a set of doors framed by the living area's oversized picture windows to find a spacious outdoor deck offering even more relaxing options. Feast your eyes on sweeping wilderness views while you chill on the newly updated deck or take a dip in the outdoor hot tub. Alternatively, head into the nearby sauna to sweat out any toxins.
Back inside, an updated kitchen sits ready for your culinary conquests. Using its stainless steel appliances, ample countertops, and varied cookware, quickly and easily whip up homemade meals, then eat together at the four-seat kitchen table or dine al fresco on the deck. There's even a gas grill on the deck for summertime barbecues.
After filling your belly, fill some post-meal time with a fun pool tournament. You could also head outdoors to make s'mores by the fire pit, or enjoy a night cap on the deck while the refreshing sounds of nature swirl around you.
When it's time to retire for the day, get the restful sleep you deserve in the bedroom's plush king-size bed, which will accommodate two guests. Wind down with a pre-bedtime soak in the bedside tub, where you'll admire the attention to detail in the custom stone cut out and wall. Turn on the bedroom's 32-inch flatscreen for a nighttime movie, or flip on either of the bedside reading lamps to curl with a good book.
In the morning, take a trip into Helen for more fun. Stroll down Main Street to find unique gifts in its Bavarian-inspired alpine shops, or head into the hills for wine sampling and scenic drives.
There are also abundant trails leading to breathtaking lookouts, towering waterfalls, and pristine rivers in the surrounding Chattahoochee National Forest, so don't forget to bring along a pair of sturdy hiking boots. And if your hiking partner happens to be your best four-legged friend, a small nightly fee ensures that your dog (up to two are allowed) will be able to join in the fun on your Georgia getaway.

This place was perfect. My wife and I were there for a week for some hiking and relaxing. The location was perfect to everything around and the place is perfect for a couple.
Me and my husband went and as soon as we got there it was very clean the property was better then the pictures and view was amazing we loved our entire experience!
Great cabin, very peaceful.
Didn’t like the driveway in the rain it’s extremely steep.
Overall a great stay.

Local support
We stopped by the local office with questions and the entire team was very helpful and friendly. We have been staying at this cabin once or twice a year since 2015 and can’t wait to get back in March for our next visit.

Perfect place
Everything was great. It is a perfect escape for the weekend. If you are lucky enough to arrive after dark like we were, you will be greeted with a spectacular view when you open your eyes in the bed. We found "our spot" in this cabin amd will be returning many times in the future.

Great View!
Great cozy cabin with a spectacular view. The hot tub and sauna were a great addition to the porch, along with the fireplace! The bed was comfortable! We also took advantage of the grill while watching college football.

Deer Crossing Beauty
This was a fantastic place. Comfortable bed, furniture and atmosphere. Loved the deck fireplace. Jacuzzi was awesome. Water fall by the jacuzzi and tub was a nice touch. Will be returning.
We loved this cabin. We had one issue with the hot tub, but we called the property manager and it was fixed by the following morning. Cabin is perfect for a couples long weekend. Very open and spacious - great windows - beautiful back deck! Highly recommend!!

Great Retreat
Spent two night in this beautiful cabin with my adult daughter for a little R&R. Perfect setting to get away from it all. Very clean and well kept with everything we needed. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and pool table. We did not use the sauna, but what a nice option! Loved all the details like the waterfall and beautiful spa tub, that made this a mountaintop oasis. We’ll definitely be back!
This is a wonderful property. Sitting on the deck is like sitting in a tree house. And the views are marvelous. Oh, and the sauna and hot tub, also on the deck, is a real plus. Just a note, if you plan to bring wine or alcohol be sure to bring your own glasses. Kitchen needs a few new additions to the glassware.
Everything was great. We loved the location and the cabin. Only problem we had was the grill did not cook our food and the fireplace area was leaking because of the rain. It did damage a few of our item because of them getting wet. Other then that it was perfect
Fabulous cabin! The pool table, fireplaces, sauna, and hot tub make this property. Beautiful view from the deck. Good location to Helen or hiking to waterfalls. Only con about property is no recliners in living room (just a personal preference) couch appeared new but not really comfortable for lounging watching TV. A prior review complained about pool table being worn, however table and sticks must have been replaced because they appear new. Would definitely recommend this property for any couple wanting a great getaway.
Very clean, well stocked cabin. Great views. We got notified of early check-in which was a nice surprise. The hot tub was clean and working properly. The pool table was a nice touch and the tv offers all apps plus cable channels. The bed is comfortable, although the sheets were a bit scratchy. Clean bathroom with good water pressure in the shower. The toilet handle gets stuck so water will keep running unless you pull it back up all the way. The checkout instructions stated that we needed to wash and put dishes back in the cabinets which was surprising since you can usually just leave the dishwasher running before checking out. Didn't really want to do dishes on vacation. Overall a great stay. Would stay there again!
We will definitely be back to this property. Perfect for a couple to get away for a few days. Quiet and private. Comfortable bed. Suggest the owner take an inventory of the silverware, plates, glasses, etc. Time for a total replacement. Showing wear and short a number of pieces. Hot tub did not seem clean and no information left by management company on whether the water had been replaced or what the cleaning process is. I asked that question in an email a few weeks before arrival but did not get an answer. The back porch is amazing ... just uneasy about Hot Tub.
This private cabin was the perfect getaway! It felt very luxurious while still presenting a cute cozy cabin feel. We loved soaking in the hot tub and staring at the beautiful scenery. We also appreciated the wifi and cable to relax at night and watch movies.
We also loved that this was a dog friendly place - it can be so hard to find fun stays that allow dogs. Also for it being built on a mountain top, there was actually some nice flat grassy areas for our pup to relieve herself (which can be a challenge with some mountain side cabins as most don't have any flat grassy areas).
Also another great thing, this cabin is located about 15-20 minutes from Helen, GA which is the cutest little downtown area with a german cottage type feel. So many store fronts and fun restaurants! We love trying new places but we are already talking about coming back to stay again! 100% recommend!
This cabin has it all. Perfect for just 2 people. Stayed there 3/8-3/11/25. Outdoor fireplace on the deck was perfect for those chilly nights. Sauna takes a few minutes to get temps up but very relaxing when they do. Go from hot tub to sauna and it's great. Grill is small but mighty. 2 taters and 2 ribeyes with room to spare Nice view from back deck. Water feature in the bedroom is a nice touch. Takes a minute to get going so be patient. Hot tub waterfeature is nice too. Had to add water to it to get it going. Wonder if previous tenants thought maybe it just didn't work but it does. Hose right underneath so filling tank is a breeze. Never could find the dang squirrel lol. Gotta stay there to find out what that means. All others located.
We spent the week of Christmas here and had a great time! While other cabins we've stayed in at Christmas were decorated, this one was not but we brought all our presents so it still felt festive. I would however, highly recommend not arriving after dark as we did! We drove from Mississippi and had about a 7 hour drive. Traffic was very bad coming thru Atlanta which put us behind. We had a hard time finding the cabin in the dark - but that was our fault! Would've been a breeze driving to it in the day light as the directions were very clear! The cabin itself is beautiful and so is the mountain view! With the exception of there not being any firewood for the inside fireplace, outside fireplace or the fire pit, it was perfect and had everything we needed - especially the kitchen We did purchase several bundles of firewood so we were able to enjoy the fireplace on several very cold nights. This location is a short drive to Helen, GA which we very much enjoyed. I would highly recommend staying here. The fact that it is pet friendly and we were able to bring our 4 lb. Yorkie was really a plus! We had a wonderful time and definitely plan on going back.
