Had a great stay in our short time. Owners responded in a timely manner when reached. Took a few minutes to get in because we couldn't find the key location, other than that minor detail, everything was listed great! View was beautiful! Comfy beds, tv and WiFi worked. The fire pit area is a little bumpy and a little scary at night since it’s next to a big drop off but everything was great! Hope to stay there again sometime soon!
My husband stayed at Matterhorn with a bunch of teenage boys for my son's birthday! The house is very well kept, views are incredible, and the property manager was very accommodating with a late check out (our vehicle broke down the second day there)! They saw deer and a bear within just a few hours of being there. The fire pit was a hit for s'mores, the sauna and pool table kept them busy in the evenings. We would definitely rent this property again ☺️
This stay was for a family of four. More than enough room. Very clean and amazing views (we saw at least 3 deer) and enjoyed being close to everything nearby. BE CAREFUL! The driveway is STEEEEEP! We have been to cabins in North GA that have steep driveways, but this one is the winner by far. We were able to make it in an expedition after a heavy rain causing the tires to spin a couple times, just take it slow. We will definitely be coming back! The views and cabin were both well worth the endeavor.
I have nothin bad to say about this cabin, my family and I had a fantastic time. The view is incredible. We would definitely stay here again!
The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and serve. Plenty of seating for the whole family, the TVs are smart TVs if you need them. The pool table kept us entertained for hours while we were at the cabin. We stayed during New Year’s Eve, so we were allowed to use the fireplace. That as well as the fire pit outside was very nice. This cabin is 5-10 minutes from the Yonah mountain trail head, barely 10 minutes from ingles grocery store and Jumping Goat coffee, and not far from Helen.
10/10 would recommend!
Picked this cabin for a quick getaway. We were looking for 4 things specifically:
1) location near Helen and hiking trails
2) enough comfortable beds for the 6 of us (I.e. no pullouts)
3) a game room or activity besides TV
4) price
Things like a great view or luxury upgrades were secondary.
This cabin check all our boxes and then some. Beds were comfortable. Kids loved the pool table. We hiked a few trails nearby and got to Helen and back in under 10 min in each direction. Cabin is a little worn, but it had everything we needed and everything worked well. Views were great and we’d stay here again.
P.S. the driveway is pretty steep. We had no problem with a Suburban, but any sedan may not make it so easily.
The cabin was beautiful and the mountain view was spectacular! We stayed with our three kids (7 year old twins and a 16 year old) and my parents (both in their 70's) and everyone enjoyed the stay and we had a great week. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the kitchen had most of what we needed (we ate almost every meal at the cabin). The driveway is very steep and the front of our mini van scraped every time we pulled out, but my parent's vehicle that sat a little higher had no issues. The location of the cabin was great. We loved the proximity to everything. We would definitely recommend staying there.
Loved the cabin and it’s location was perfect! Only complaint is a blow dryer would be nice. But we will def be back! Beautiful views with deer coming up in the back yard! Steep drive. Very happy with accommodations.

Nice home, JUST MAINTAIN IT!
Nice home, nice view
However for the price charged, one expects working lights, working ceiling fans, oven, clothes dryer.
It really could have been a much better experience with just a little up keep of the property.
We had to move our belongings upstairs as the ceiling fan on master bedroom was broken and not working. Once up stairs a family of squirrels had made it home inside the roof and walls making it possible to sleep in that room as well.
Waited 2 hours for kitchen oven to bake potatoes that never fully cooked and this also made making biscuits the next morning a 2 hour challenge.
Very poor and frankly, dangerous lighting outside on back porch. No light on back right corner making grilling outside again, challenging and aggravating.
Doing laundry that never got dry as the dryer was the same as kitchen oven, got warm but no where near needed temperature to do the task.
These situations are even more aggravating as they would not take much to fix and one should expect better when spending 600 dollars for 2 nights.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
Not what we expected for the price we paid.
The cabin was clean, easy to drive to, in a great location and had a wonderful view. It also had a nice soaking jacuzzi tub in master bath.
However, maintenance is lacking and it is quite outdated. There were two TVs, the one in the living room being the smallest and not a smart tv. The TV in the basement was a smart tv but very old and slow. The dishwasher had a broken soap dispenser, and one of only two pool sticks provided had a broken tip. We made do sharing the one stick and spent most of our time playing pool since the Hot Tub that had been advertised and was in the photo gallery at the time I booked it was no longer there. We could see on the bottom deck where the hot tub had laid and there were still hot tub rules posted near the sliding glass doors. I sent a message to ask why we had not been informed or offered a refund or at least a waiver for one of the service fees that I’m sure included maintaining it since we didn’t get to use it but received no reply. The fire pit outside was also a disappointment. Nowhere to sit, no chairs and poorly put together.
Overall, it was still a nice getaway for 3-4 days. If we had to stay any longer we probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much. I definitely feel it is or was overpriced. We could have paid less elsewhere for a cabin without a hot tub for sure. It did have a Sauna that was in working order so that was nice. The best part was being able to see the fireworks in Helen from the upper deck on the 4th.
We LOVED this cabin! it was PERFECT for us! plenty of space with an amazing view! easy access to both Helen & Cleveland. we will always choose this cabin when we are in the area.
