Welcome to Mystic Mountain Hideaway! Two miles from downtown Helen but so secluded you will feel like you are on an Alpine vacation but with modern amenities such as high speed WiFi, HD TV, four person hot tub with mountain views! **TWO BEDROOM CABIN with NO visible neighbors this is a true mountain retreat! Rooftop skylights bring in the sunshine during the day and stars at night! We are Pet friendly, we know it’s sometimes hard to leave without taking your dog… medium/small dog welcome.

We have recently upgraded to HD Satellite television and free WIFI so you can enjoy modern comforts if you so desire!

As you turn into this mountain trail toward this inviting log cabin all of the sights and sounds of the city disappear. You will hear a trickle of water, and everything you see & smell is dense, lush, and green.

Experience the outdoors, and experience the indoors in your own secluded universe. You won't see any people or cars at this cabin, but you will see nature at it's most pure while you rest and renew yourself. There is lots of fun to be had at this cabin.

The property is secluded, but only minutes from downtown Helen, Betty's Country Grocery, Hiking Trails, Tubing, Zip Lining, Shopping, and the Chattahoochee River

Your view will include 20 acres of nature including our deer and wild turkey that are content to share their home with you.

Your are welcome here in our magical playground with nature. We feel it’s important to do our best to provide a lifetime memorable experience that will have you wishing it wasn’t time to go…. Bryson's birthday trip

This past weekend made our third time staying in this cabin! You couldn't ask for a better location if you want to be close to downtown Helen, but yet still secluded in a mountain cabin close to trout fishing!

Best vacation spot ever!!

The property was very clean,quiet and secluded! Got to see deer, great distance from town!! Had everything we needed. We will definitely be coming back here again!! The host was amazing and we got an earlier check in than what it was supposed to be!!Definitely a great five star stay, nothing bad to say at all about this place!!

Our family greatly enjoyed our stay at Mystic Mountain hideaway. The property was exactly like described. It was incredibly close and convenient to Helen and other points of interest as well being a truly secluded stay where you had the ability to rest and relax in privacy. What made the stay most exceptional though was the host, who went above and beyond to assist us with this booking, even contacting vrbo customer service himself when we were having technical difficulties. I would recommend this stay to anyone.

Great cabin

We loved the cabin and the location just outside Helen. It's rustic and clean, exactly as a cabin retreat should be. They had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend- the hot tub was a nice touch! Thanks for the stay- recommend!

Perfect Little Spot

This was one of me and my wifes favorite little cabins. Romantic fireplace and just an all around mountain style cabin that we truly loved. Great location on the side of a mountain by itself but still close enough to town that you can run get whatever you need. We will definitely be back.

Great Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin! Host was responsive and attentive, and the house was clean and comfy! Hot tub was great on our muscles after our long tubing trip on the river! We loved the area and all the fun things to do and great food!

Perfect Getaway

We traveled to Helen for an upcoming snowfall and this cabin was perfect. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The owner Tom was so very nice and helpful, he called when we arrived and guided us through any and every questions we had and made sure we knew where everything was. The cabin is the perfect location for privacy but also super close to downtown. We will definitely look for this property in future visits to Helen.

Cozy Holiday Get-away

My husband and I stayed there with our dogs for Thanksgiving and we had the best time! The hosts were very easy to get ahold of with any questions. The cabin it self was clean and cozy and we loved how secluded we were! But you’re minutes away from needing anything from the local grocery store. We definitely recommend staying here for any reason!

Place was amazing and very private and unique. Bed is super comfortable and view was incredible. Very close to town. Thankful for the reviews that said to bring four wheel drive, it was raining, so the ride in was slippery. Will definitely be back!!

Perfect Hideaway Cabin

Very private..very secluded..very quiet! This is as close as you can get to being off the grid.Has all the amenities you could need. Great place for a weekend hideaway.Very short drive to all the local attractions. This place was everything we wanted it to be. Cant wait for our next trip there.

Private and cozy

The cabin is very private and peaceful. It is conveniently located to downtown Helen. The king size bed is super comfortable and cozy. The loft has sky windows which was wonderful during the storms we had while visiting. Communication with the owner was good. We recommend the cabin if you prefer privacy.

Perfect (private) getaway

We chose this place because we wanted to be close to Helen, but also be able to escape the crowds and hopefully not have neighbors to share our downtime with. This was it!!! 100% secluded private cabin way up a beautiful wooded winding driveway, yet minutes away from the fun of Helen, Anna Ruby Falls and the beautiful scenic by-ways we wanted to see. Also had a quick couple set up questions here and there for the owner who was readily available within minutes. 100% will be back.

Beautiful cabin! We absolutely LOVED our stay. The property was so peaceful and secluded, yet only minutes to town. Our lab loved splashing in the river just down the driveway and across the street. Communication with the owner was fantastic. This trip was just what we were needing. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Way better than a hurricane!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Mystic Mountain Hideaway! We needed a place to evacuate from Hurricane Milton and were so happy we came here. Not only was it a 5 minute drive to downtown Helen, but my kids also enjoyed the nearby obstacle course at Cool River. We were able to relax around the fire and in the hot tub and slept well in comfy beds. Loved the charming decor throughout and had everything we needed for a 3-day stay. Great place for families with pets, would love to come back in summer or winter!

Private and serene

The deck was everything and more; the hot tub at night with the lights around the railing make it very romantic. The location gives the feeling of complete privacy which to me is priceless. Tom is excellent and communicative, and this is my first experience using VRBO and he made it smooth and streamline. Loved the mystic mountain..will be back

Great experience!

The cabin was awesome and has everything needed for comfortability. The property the cabin sits on is gorgeous and riddled with walking trails to explore. The owner was very friendly, helpful and responsive. The location of the cabin is within minutes of downtown Helen which was a huge plus. Overall we had a really wonderful time and would absolutely book here again in the future! 10 out 10 recommend!
