Dog Friendly Former Corner Door General Store on Liberty by Lucky Savannah

Located on the second floor of an elegant townhome built in 1890, this four-bedroom, two-bath property was once a corner grocery! Today, it stands ready to be the perfect home base for up to eight Lucky guests looking to enjoy the best Savannah has to offer from the locals’ point of view.

The completely renovated home has a bright and airy feel about it, with oversized windows and soaring ceilings throughout. Follow the staircase from the entry hall up to the spacious living room, featuring original fireplaces, woodwork and restored pine floors, accentuated by modern conveniences such as cable TV and Wifi. A charming, fully stocked eat-in kitchen and living area will accommodate everyone comfortably. The premium bedroom has a king bed, and two additional bedrooms have queen beds and decorative fireplaces. The fourth bedroom has two antique twin beds.

Non-metered Parking
This unit has free, on-street parking right outside the front door. Availability will depend on time of day and season. Our guests have not reported trouble parking near the home, even on the busiest of weekends.

Great Couples Trip

Great location that was within walking distance to all we wanted. House was clean and perfect for 4 couples. There is a room with 2 twin beds while the others have queen beds but we made it work. Great time!

Great place for a big group

This was an awesome place to stay! We loved how all the rooms were centralized, it made it super easy to feel connected to everyone. The common spaces were spacious, and the location made it possible to walk everywhere. Perfect accommodation for our girls trip!

Another great girls trip

We loved our few days in Savannah at our rental. It was beautifully decorated .. great location .. we felt like we lived there not tourists which is what we like ! The management company was great .. any request .. they were on it ! I’ll be going back!

Great Stay

Property is great! Very clean, and everything needed is available. Street parking was no problem at all, and location is walking distance to everything. We really enjoyed our stay. The living space is laid out perfectly for a group of friends gathering. The only complaint is the noisy street outside two sides of the building. Obviously, this is no fault of the owner, but definitely needs to be noted. Trucks at all hours of the night and early morning, absolutely no idea why, since the house is right downtown. If you have sound sleepers in your group, give them the street side rooms.We enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

Christmas in Savannah

My children are in different locations so we met in Savannah. We did the Christmas Trolley which was magical. We ate out and enjoyed the bar seen with music. I had groceries delivered and we cooked breakfast every day. 4 bedrooms were huge and living room was great to hang out. Easy to get around. Only downside was sometimes traffic noise.

Family Fun in Savannah

We loved our trip and accommodations in Savannah! The house was beautiful! There are four bedrooms that are so nice and comfortable! The location was perfect. We parked and were able to walk everywhere! Parking was so easy and right in front of the house. My only complaint was the need for a bigger hot water heater. With 6 people we would run out of hot water. Otherwise it was a great place to stay! We would definitely do it again! Savannah is beautiful and so rich in history! This home is in the perfect place to explore it!!

The property is older and in fair condition. The floor had a hole near the gas line and a mouse came up at night and ate any food we left out. We put everything in the refrigerator after that. One of the windows did not shut all of the way and there was a crack. The weather was good, so it didn't bother us.The property is on the edge of the historic district, but highly walkable. The mattresses were uncomfortable and hard. Linens were worn, but seemed clean. The living room was nice, comfy, and living room furniture grouping was conducive to chatting at night. I would have liked some throw blankets to use in the evening in the living room. I used the comforter from my bed. There was a dog that lived next door and it barked all the time, even at night. That was annoying. The entry has a long staircase and it was difficult for my elderly mother to access the unit, of which was up the stairs. The unit has parallel street parking only, but it is free. We had to park a few blocks away on the night the streets were swept by the city. Otherwise, we were able to get a parking spot right by the unit or within a block.

Upon arrival, we had to contact Lucky Savannah to obtain the access code. Located on top floor with a pretty long staircase. We noticed the temp was 85 on the inside and that there are tons of floor fans ion the home. The temp did come down a little for the first few days but on the last 2, the HVAC did not appear to work at all and the temp inside reached 90. I sent additional emails and the apologized but did not send anyone out before we left. That's the hottest night sleeping that I have ever had. Also, the dryer did not work very well and required tons of extra time to dry towels, etc. They stated that they had sent someone out to check it but we never saw anyone and only once heard someone attempt to unlock the coded door...not sure what happened there. The location is great and the interior is decent. It's a super old building and is imperfect but that was to be expected. Showers are really small and if you struggle with balance at all, please take care getting in and out.

The GOOD, the BAD, the UGLY

The GOOD…Our 3 kids and two grandkids met us here for a four night family getaway. The location was great. The unit was charming, well decorated, really clean and the layout was perfect for what we needed… esp the living room for family game night. The BAD…If you are planning to do much cooking (involving prep) you might want to bring your own knives. The two knives were dull and a difficult size to work with. A small pairing knife and a butcher knife would be a great addition. If there were at least a knife sharpener, it would be helpful. There is no ice maker in the freezer (or ice trays) so you will need to buy ice. Make sure to bring your own trash bags and coffee filters too. There was one trash bag provided but with that group size, you go through a lot of trash. There were also only 6 forks (eating utensils) in the unit. We had a group of eight so that made it interesting at mealtime. We also had to buy batteries to make the remote work. The UGLY…If you are a light sleeper you definitely won’t sleep well here. The unit is in a highly trafficked area. So many city trucks and buses going through, at all hours of the night along with general street traffic and the beeping street sign noises poured through the thin glass pane windows. We did have a great time and enjoyed our stay immensely but I do have to give a truthful review.

The AC worked hard to keep up with the heat, but Lucky Savannah was responsive and had maintenance check it out. It worked better that night. In fact, it got cold! (A good problem 🙂). One side of the home cooled better than the other side, but it was manageable. The home was clean and in a great location to walk to everything we wanted.
