Historic Estate on Gaston near Forsyth Park with Parking by Lucky Savannah

Located on beautiful, historic Gaston Street, this spectacular 5 bedroom home has been fully renovated top-to-bottom for a truly luxurious experience. The rich hardwood flooring, crown molding, and high ceilings are complimented with sophisticated-yet-comfortable furnishings, creating an inviting space for guests to relax. In true Savannah style, you’ll enter this home on the “second” floor to find an opening living and dining space, perfect for entertaining! The modern kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar, and a conveniently located TV you can watch while cooking or enjoying your coffee. Just off of the kitchen is a sitting room with double glass doors leading to a private back porch overlooking the courtyard.

Upstairs you’ll find three roomy, bright, and stylish bedrooms. The first bedroom has a comfortable king bed and TV, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. With two twin beds and a chalkboard, the second bedroom is perfect for children. The shared bathroom has a glass enclosed shower and waterfall shower head. The Primary Bedroom features a King sized, four poster bed, an en suite with a shower and tub, and an envy-worthy walk-in closet. The ground floor has a separate, out door, entrance, and an interior staircase and entrance to the main floor. There are two spacious bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with two twin beds, and a private living space. There is also a laundry room off of the kitchen, which has double glass doors leading to the courtyard.

Perfect for annual “girls trip”

My friends and I have been coming to Savannah for an annual weekend away for over 30 years. This location was perfect! Three blocks to Forsyth Park, three blocks from the grocery store, and less than a mile beautiful walk to the river area. Plenty of space, charming, well maintained. No complaints!

Family Trip to Savannah

My wife and I brought our adult children on vacation with us for the week. Our daughter and son-in-law have a 1.5yr old and 3yr old. Our son brought his girl friend.We had plenty of space across this property using all 3 floors.The location allowed us to walk to many attractions and dinner downtown. After being there, we could have been a little closer to the river, but the proximity of the park was a huge plus.The property manager checked in on us from pre-arrival to post-departure and answered any/all questions during our visit.We had a wonderful week and would recommend the unit for others.Btw, we actually had 3 cars and they fit in the back parking with no issues.

Great for a family gathering!

Great location, nice large house, nice amenities, (pillows, shower heads, shower drains underwhelming). Walkabilaty excellent, wonderful restaurants and parks. Suggest double beds instead of twins.

Great property and location

My family, age 78 to 6 years of age, thoroughly enjoyed staying at Gaston Estate over Christmas week. It is close to Forsyth Park and the Savannah historic district—great location! Parking is included which is an important amenity in Savannah. The website says space for 2 cars, but if your cars are regular size, 3 can fit. The house is very spacious and easily accommodated our family gathering of 8. This is our 2nd time staying there and we will definitely come back!

Great house

This house was great. We were in Savannah for a bachelorette party and the house had plenty of rooms and bathrooms. We were 9 women and we never ran out of hot water in the showers. Location is great, we were able to walk almost everywhere. The rental company Lucky Savannah hosts this property and they were amazing to deal with. Anytime I sent a message asking about something I got a response right away. Highly recommend this property.

Good Location, but needs improvement!

Overall, the house "looked" clean, but there were dead roaches in several areas of the house. The backyard is nice, but the chairs had no cushions and there were leaves everywhere. So basically, an advertised space that's not usable. There was also a nail sticking out of the wood floor in one of the upstairs bedrooms that my daughter cut herself on, so be careful and walk around w/shoes on-definitely a safety hazard. Walking distance to Forsyth Park and having a designated area to park was a plus.

Issues with 6 adults

The property was on a great location, easily walkable to everywhere. However, if marketed for 6 adults, there should be comfortable inside seating for 6 (or more) adults. If not for the porch, and the extra camp chairs, we would not have been able to sit and visit as a family. Nowhere to have a meal, and no place to even set a cup of coffee. Finally, while the maintenance person was lovely, drain and toilet clogged and it took 2 days to get it fixed. Did I mention 6 adults? And 1 of 2 toilets down? Not good.

Very roomy — needs fan repairs

Reviewer Comments: It was a nice house. Loved the location. Ceiling fans in 2 of the king bedrooms were loud like remote control airplanes- unable to use them . There was a floor fan in the master which led me to believe they were aware of this issue. Floor fan was shorter than the height of the bed so not a good substitute. My 28 year old daughter stayed in the bottom level king room with the other loud fan. She said it was hot down there and of course couldn’t sleep with the loud fan . There were 4 bath-cloths given for a reservation of 7 in a house that sleeps 10-12.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we pulled up to the home on Gaston we immediately were in awe at the size and ease of getting into the home. My family loved the area and how close it was to attractions and all the space we had to spread out and join together. Firstly, the house and fixtures are beautiful, everything was as described in the profile advertisement. The home fit 9 people easily , with two kitchens and enough bathroom space to allow for easy morning rituals as we prepped to explore. This home allowed us to make this giant family vacation a memorable experience. The one drawback to the home, which is most likely due to the massive amount of humidity and was remedied by Febreeze was the house had a smell of mildew when we arrived. All in all I would recommend this home to any travelers and hope to return.

We had such a wonderful time in Savannah and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The home was exactly as described! Clean, updated and spacious. The location could not have been more perfect either. We were walkable to all of the historic sites and wonderful shopping and restaurants and a few blocks from beautiful Forsyth Park, which we enjoyed walking every morning. The management staff was very communicative and responsive to our questions as well. We would definitely return and stay there again!!!
