'Savannah, where every house is a museum of sorts, every acre a romantic tomb preserving our collective Southern past. In Savannah it is useless to pretend we aren't all connected. And as such, you may as well grab a traveller and come along for the ride".

Beautiful historic loft on River Street with Savannah brick walls and wood floors thru-out encase this upscale modern comfortable home. Eclectic decor, enter this loft from historical (google it) Factor's Walk Alley and you will see from the foyer, large open areas for entertaining as well as your own balcony overlooking River Street and the Savannah River. Private ensuite offers a king bed. Additionally, there is a Queen Murphy Bed.

Spend hours watching cargo ships and tugboats go by as well as the activity of River Street. It is a favorite place to start your day with coffee or end your day with a glass of wine.


After touring Savannah, come back to the comforts of home. This River Street loft has a beautiful private suite that offers a king size bed and private bath with slate floors and slate shower. A Murphy Bed has a comfy queen mattress. There is a second bathroom with a large shower. For your convenience, there is a full size washer/dryer and ample closet space. TV can be seen from every seat in the living area. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals, if you choose to eat in. There is a 42' high definition flatscreen TV with the option to sign into your own streaming services. The loft also has fast Wifi supplied by Comcast.

Our guests enjoy complimentary coffee, creamer and sugar, tea varieties, quality bed linens, bath towels and down comforters. Maps, menus and touring information is available for your convenience. For your pleasure, enjoy the local books about the city and history of Savannah.

A very special benefit to this loft is the lack of climbing steps to have a 2nd floor view of River Street and the Savannah River. You enter from the alley side at the front door (5 small steps) but are on the 2nd floor on the river side. This is wonderful for people who don't like climbing stairs or have difficulty with steps. You can enjoy River Street without ever leaving the loft.

You can drive right up to the door to unload your luggage or groceries then park your car in designated city parking spaces. No parking in the alley.

Best Location

Was lucky enough to find this amazing loft with its fantastic location on the river. This loft made it so easy to explore the historic district, or just relax and watch life on the river. A perfect place for both an extended stay, or a fun weekend.

Incredible Loft, Amazing Location

The River Street Loft was one of my favourite places I have ever rented! The location was absolutely perfect right in the heart of everything Loved people watching from the balcony and watches the barges on the River. It is clean, extremely comfortable bed, very unique and has everything you need. Marlyn was an incredible host and so accommodating with everything! Do not hesitate to book this. You will not be disappointed!

Great Loft overlooking River

I have enjoyed staying in this Lovely Loftseveral times over the years. I Love to see the Cargo Ships pass by on the River & People Watch on River Street. The Shops & Restaurants are close by to you wdont have to move your car. . Many activities to attend are usually available around the Historcial District.

Beautiful home

The living space is bigger than the photos suggest and quite lovely. Very comfortable furniture throughout. The host was wonderful, always quick to respond when I had questions. Very central location right on the waterfront.

Picturesque Utopia

Came for husband and I's 17th wedding anniversary and 40th birthday. Unforgettable stay! Beautiful views of the river and river street from the balcony! Very convenient location to everything! Definitely will be back!

Central location with good nights sleep

The rental is in an amazing location with a balcony to enjoy it. Very comfortable furniture and bedroom that is surprisingly quiet for sleep. We found parking easy, but you will want to wear sturdy flat shoes to walk to the door of the unit because the stone drive would be dangerous in heels or flip flops.

Perfect Place

This VRBO experience was excellent. This loft was a nice mix of historic and modern. Pristine and comfortable. The location provide us access to all aspects of the city. It had a great view. Hair dryer was broken, but otherwise perfect.

Fantastic place!

One of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed at! We had the greatest time. I do wish we would’ve just taken Ubers everywhere rather than rent a car. Parking is a nightmare. Other than that, it was just wonderful and a perfect location. And honestly you can walk to pretty much anywhere you want to go.

great location

Great location on the riverfront with that balcony! My 85 yr old mother and I stayed there. We enjoyed watching the huge ships traveling in the river and watching the folks walking with their cocktails up and down River Street. In our younger days we would have joined them! LOL Several folks said they wished they were staying where we stayed.

Perfect getaway

Was a lovely property! Everything, and more, than one needs for a perfect visit! The loft is beautifully done. Very comfortable bedding and towels. Nice to have a washer and dryer, was nice to wash clothes after walking around Savannah in the hot and humid summer! Loved the balcony for people watching and big ship watching! We loved the location! So easy to walk everywhere, was able to use the free shuttle around town as well. Parking was available around, we used the Whitaker Street parking ramp and it was an easy walk to get the car when we needed it. Would love to stay again!

Loved our stay

This is a gorgeous condo. Bedroom was nice and spacious. The Murphy bed was perfect for the kids. The kitchen is well stocked. Tons of things to do within walking distance. Sitting on the balcony watching the ships and people go by was probably the best part. Great restaurants close by. Plenty of bars too !!! As a previous guest mentioned, the parking is not ideal. But anyone that’s spent time on River St knows that’s to be expected. The owners are very communicative. I am already planning our next trip!!!

Great Location

We were able to walk to all the best points of interest. Parking was a challenge arriving on Sunday afternoon in a busy tourist area. It would be a good idea to give directions to the parking lot on Whitaker Street which is very close. Also, make it clear the street goes through from Bay Street to River Street because it appears to be a dead end. Really enjoyed the balcony overlooking the river. Everything we neede was available in the unit. Rugs and Curtains need cleaning. Overall, a good experience.

Perfect Place to Stay in Savannah!

We all really loved staying in this loft. The beds were comfortable and it's amazingly quiet given the busy location on River Street. The host was very, very quick to respond to a question that I had. It was great being able to walk to most of the things we wanted to see and do, and the places we wanted to eat (recommend Chart House and the Little Duck Diner). We had no problem finding parking and it's free after 8 and on Sundays. People and ship watching from either the balcony or the river walk just outside is an enjoyable way to relax. If you are curious about the huge container ships that go by, take a port tour... it was really interesting. There is a hair dryer but it's not listed under amenities. If we ever get a chance to return to Savannah, we will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Charm on the River

We’ve been to Savannah numerous times but this was our first time at this VRBO (but won’t be the last). Of course a fantastic location but also an incredible property. Host was the most responsive I’ve ever dealt with and the loft was spotless upon arrival. No issues or inconveniences at all. We will absolutely return. Knowing the city I figured it would be a little noisy from River Street but it was not. Balcony makes for fabulous coffee location watching the cargo ships head out and is great people watching at night.

Great place

We loved this place, once we found it. We had detailed directions, but it’s not located like anywhere I’ve ever stayed. It’s located on an alley with a street address on an unmarked street. After a couple of rounds through a very congested neighborhood we were able to find it once we parked and walked around. It was the only hitch in our trip. There is no assigned parking, and the neighborhood is very busy, but we were able to park nearby without much difficulty. The owner was very responsive to our texts. The location is stellar and walking distance from all of the downtown attractions. Once we parked the car we didn’t moved it until we left. The loft is perfect and well appointed. We would stay her again. GW

Great Location. Surprisingly Quiet.

We stayed here for the St. Patrick’s Day celebration. The loft was a great home base as we could easily walk to enjoy the parade and River Street. We were mentally prepared for bad sleep given the loft faces River Street and it was definitely a party scene. However, we slept great! Didn’t hear any party noise. I think the loft’s brick provided great insulation. The balcony was perfect for “people watching” and enjoying the St. Patrick’s Day costumes. Be sure to leave a note in the bricks. We didn’t notice the notes until the last day. Also, bring comfortable shoes…lots of cobblestone. Had a blast!

Perfect location- walkable to everything without too much noise!

Went with a group of friends to celebrate our 40th birthdays! We had the best time! We could sit out on the balcony and people-watch or enjoy our view of the river. The comfort of the place was great---temps were easy to control, beds were firm and comfy. Amazing host and the LOCATION was everything! We could step out the door and walk a few steps to a super fun little bar or step around the corner to several restaurants. You wouldn't ever need a ride anywhere if you wanted to do all the downtown things. We walked everywhere! The decor is not my personal taste, but it's easy to overlook with the history and quirkiness of the space. There are little spaces in the brick mortar where previous guests have left notes. It was so much fun to read those and we left a couple ourselves. :) Zero complaints and we would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves able to travel back to Savannah!

Lovely place

We reserved this unit for a spur of the moment trip to Savannah and couldn’t have been happier. The apt is in a perfect location right on the river with a nice little balcony from which to watch the large ships go by. Easy walk to anywhere downtown. The unit itself is very well appointed with anything you would need. The owner was very responsive to questions and the check in process was simple. Be aware it doesn’t come with parking but we knew we wouldn’t be using our car much so we parked a short walk away in a garage recommended by the owner. Very reasonably priced. There is parking right across the street but we preferred to have our car in a garbage.There is a large organized binder with lots of useful information provided by the owner in the unit.Highly recommend Graffiti for pizza right on the river just a short stroll away
