  • Built in 1886 and thoughtfully renovated, Penance is a two-bedroom Savannah Historic District townhouse with a maximalist point of view. Just two blocks from Forsyth Park and two blocks from Whitefield Square, this colorful, design-forward home combines historic details like exposed brick, hardwood floors, and an original staircase with bold print, saturated color, and plenty of personality.

    The main floor has an open layout connecting the living room, dining room, and private courtyard. The comfortable living room has plenty of seating and a flat-screen TV, while a half bath is tucked beneath the staircase. The compact, fully equipped kitchen overlooks the courtyard, keeping everyone connected while meals and morning coffee are being made. Upstairs, you’ll find both bedrooms, a full bathroom with a shower/tub combination, and a separate laundry room. The primary bedroom has a king bed, a large TV, and plenty of space to settle in. The second bedroom has two twin beds, making it a great option for kids or friends traveling together. The private courtyard offers a quiet spot for morning coffee or an evening drink after exploring the city.

    Location is one of Penance’s biggest perks. Forsyth Park, Savannah’s largest green space, is just a two-block walk, as is Whitefield Square, a popular spot for Savannah weddings. Mate Factor Cafe is on the block for organic coffee, maté teas, and house-made pastries, while Kroger, the only full-service grocery store in the Historic District, is about a two-minute walk away. Johnnie Ganem’s is nearby for wine and spirits, and Savannah’s restaurants, shops, and attractions are easily accessible from here.

    This home has free, on-street parking right outside the front door. Availability will depend on time of day and season. Our guests have not reported trouble parking near the home, even on the busiest of weekends, though please be mindful of posts street sweeping schedules.

    We can welcome your dog companions at this pet friendly home, but ask that you find other arrangements for cats, birds, and other furry friends. There is a $130 pet fee (non-refundable) with a 35 lb. maximum weight limit per dog and a limit of 2 dogs per reservation. Some homes may allow larger dogs, please inquire for more information.

Girls long wkd away.

We are 4 adult women who thoroughly enjoyed our stay, this location, and this house. It was very convenient for walking to grocery store, liquor store and all of the historic district. The restaurants close by were all very good. The only issue was a slight communication gap when we wanted to extend our check-out. I would recommend this beautiful home.

Fantastic location!!

We really enjoyed our stay and loved the location! The home is situated in a beautiful neighborhood and we really just enjoyed wandering around and looking at beautiful homes. The rental was within walking distance of so much! We also loved having the grocery store so nearby and picked up food as needed. The Yerba Mate cafe just down the street is also worth a visit. Overall, our family of four was quite happy with this rental.

Nice stay in Savannah

The place was cozy and nicely decorated. Very nice bedrooms . Small kitchen but really didn’t need more. Nice place to relax after long days touring the beautiful city. Nice to have laundry also. Would highly recommend.

Best of the Best

Travel often and usually stay in VRBO properties. This one is among the very best of the best. Location couldn’t be better - within few walkable blocks to Yellow Deli, Hop on Hop off trolley, Forsyth Park, many squares, and Kroger. And of course the home - well stocked, hip decor, very nicely furnished, comfortable bed. Finding street parking no problem. Definitely one to book.

Excellent Choice

We wanted a week away and chose Savannah. We wanted a place that we could relax and see the sights. Habersham House was perfect for us. It was super clean and very comfortable for our 5 day stay. It was nice to have Lucky Savannah a phone call away if we needed them. They were very helpful. The home was minutes away from Kroger, street parking and walk distance for other attractions. We really enjoyed our stay.

Charming and perfectly located

My siblings and I spent five days here with our 85 year old mom. She had never been to Savannah. We lucked out with fantastic weather the whole time. Our stay was fantastic. The house was beautiful and we spent a lot of time in the back patio. We all highly recommend it. One small caveat if you are a senior or have issues walking- the stairs to the upper level are very steep. It’s a tall old house and most are like that.

Great Stay at Nice Property

This is a very spacious house, with high ceilings and plenty of floor space. The unit seems to have been renovated recently and is very well equipped. It was quiet at night, and is located very close to the beautiful historic district of Savannah. The walk to the commercial district by the river is about 15 minutes; there's a well-stocked supermarket two blocks away. The house was beautifully clean when we arrived and the management company answered the phone immediately and was helpful with regard to the one enquiry we had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice location. We like to walk and get lots of steps while we’re on vacation, and this is the perfect spot for that. The townhouse is centrally located, making it easy to walk to River Street or to the Starland District. It’s also just a very short walk (2 blocks) to Forsyth Park. We really like the large dedicated dining space. There is comfortable seating in the living area. The kitchen is a bit smaller than the pictures show, but it’s still quite workable. Our stay was so very pleasant. We’ll definitely return to this property by Lucky Savannah!

It's more geared to a small bachelorette party instead of a family with kids, because of the explicit coasters and art (wish a few things had been hidden).I would have loved to have had: anything other than the floor to rest my phone/apple watch on beside the bed, an extra lock on the front door to make sure no one could come in (since people walk right by the door), a mirror in the master bedroom, and TVs in the bedrooms (TV was in the closet not set up).I would definitely stay in a Lucky Savannah property again!

Glamorous Townhouse in great location

The beds were firm with plenty of blankets, a mirror in the master bedroom would be good, as would a grab bar or non-slip strips in the tub/shower. The living room seating was more than adequate - newly redecorated (with lots of velvet and glitz). Kitchen is small but workable. The patio was disappointing - it needs a good sweeping/raking and the dead plants need replacing. Not very pleasant to sit in. The location is perfect, close to the free trolley, coffee shop , grocery and liquor shop. Neighborhood is pretty and felt very safe. All in all a very nice stay.

Savannah trip

The app was broken when we got to town so I had no idea where the property was located or our codes to get in. An email and a phone call later, they texted me the info and all was resolved. The only issues we had were the construction going on next door, it started bright and early on weekday mornings, and the bath tub had a slow drain. I just attributed it to old pipes and never called it in, but it may have been fixable. Otherwise property was clean and location was great!

It was nice to be in easy walking distance of Forsythe Park, restaurants , a Kroger and the DOT free schedule. I would suggest a grab bar in the shower/bath and a longer shower curtain. Beds were comfy. Kitchen well stocked with equipment.
