About this property
Cottage in Historic District, Heated Pool Access
Featured on HGTV Magazine's "A Local's Guide to Savannah"! One of our coziest Savannah vacation rentals ensconced in Southern charm, Heidi's Hideaway fulfills your fondest daydreams. The incredible curb appeal can't do justice to the delights that await within this lovely example of all that Savannah vacation homes can be. You and your group of up to five family members or friends will be enchanted by the location, amenities and exceptional comfort that wrap you up in a warm welcome the moment you walk in the pretty pink door.
Inside the Cottage
The main living area features an airy, open floor plan that maximizes the space. Gleaming hardwood flooring and a unique, two-sided brick fireplace suggest the charm of yesteryear while the sofa and matching armchairs add a contemporary vibe. The patterned area rug picks up the bold contrasts of throw pillows, and an oval coffee table adds a warm wood centerpiece. Artful lighting and mirrors create a sense of expanse. A wall-mounted television is great for checking on the weather or watching your favorite shows.
Just beyond the living room, the dining area features a table and chairs, the flip side of the fireplace and a tapestry above. In the adjacent kitchen, you will find everything you need to create meals for up to six. Like we do in all our Savannah vacation homes, we've filled the drawers and cupboards with flatware, glasses, dishes and cookware for your use. There's a refrigerator/freezer, range and oven, dishwasher and microwave too. You'll even find convenient coking basics, like salt and pepper, near to hand.
A bedroom with a queen-sized bed opens off the living room. Glass-topped bedside tables and reading lamps anticipate your nighttime comfort. The second bedroom boasts a king-sized bed. A chest of drawers offers clothes storage. The sofa sleeper in the living room accommodates two more guests.
The bathroom has a single vanity and a tub with a shower. A handy washer and dryer for your laundry are tucked neatly in the corner. We stock a good supply of soft, fluffy towels at all our vacation rentals Savannah GA, and Heidi's Hideaway is no exception. We also provide bed linens, pillows and blankets.
A cute, shared sundeck in back features generous seating and a charcoal grill. A privacy fence ensures seclusion as you enjoy the fresh air and Savannah sunshine. Additional amenities at Heidi's Hideaway include central air and heating, a selection of toiletries and Wi-Fi. As Savannah vacation rentals guests, you get unlimited access to our private swimming pool, just a scenic drive away on Tybee Island.
Experience Savannah
Heidi's Hideaway is just a stone's throw from Mother Mathilda Beasley Park and Dog Park, so if children or pets are part of your group, they won't lack for activities. Named for a 19th-century Catholic nun who was born into slavery, the park is a lasting tribute to her legacy. After becoming free and moving to Savannah, Beasley worked as a dressmaker to earn a living. She also ran a school for black children from 1850 to 1860, which was at odds with the law. The park features a playground for the kids, a sports field and a fenced-off dog park for your favorite pooch.
You also have the option to visit Forsyth Park, an easy walk from the cottage through tree-lined avenues. Experience the year-round Saturday Farmers' Market where you'll find fresh produce, baked goods and local crafts. Forsyth features two playgrounds, a wide expanse of sports fields, the Fragrant Garden for the Blind and a fabulous fountain. This fountain is the centerpiece of the park. People gather there for weddings, group pictures and to cool down in the refreshing spray.
You can grab a quick bite at the park's café before embarking on the free shuttle bus, which travels throughout Savannah's Historic District. The bus stops at each of 22 squares in the district and at shopping hubs like City Market. You'll find plenty to do at the market, from shopping to eating. You can see local artists at work or listen to live music. You're sure to meet other guests from vacation rentals Savannah GA along the way.
Trade the bus for a pedicab or horse-drawn carriage as you continue your exploration of Savannah. Make your way to the riverfront and watch the big freighters come and go. Savannah is one of the busiest ports in the country.
You will also find more shopping ops in the converted cotton warehouses along Riverwalk. Stop for a refreshing beverage or enjoy a fresh seafood meal at popular restaurants like Vic's on the River or The Shrimp Factory. Experience Savannah's seagoing flavor at The Pirate House, just off E. Bay Street on E. Broad.
As you make your way back toward Heidi's Hideaway, take a few detours to some of the most popular sites with vacation rentals Savannah GA guests. For example, visit The Davenport House Museum, set in an early 19th-century house in the Federalist style. It's on the corner of Habersham and E. Broughton streets.
Immerse yourself in the city's stormy history at the Webb Military Museum on E. York and Habersham streets. Picnic at the gazebo in Whitefield Square. You'll have some great stories to share when you return to your Savannah vacation home each evening to relax with family and friends.

Stayed here with my family for a nice Savannah vacation! It was a nice cozy spot and a great location from everything to do in the city. Nice quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed our stay here very much and would rent again!
Enjoyed our stay at this rental in the historic city. It was walkable to Forsyth park which was great. Loved being able to bring my dog along. Only recommendation would be for the property management company to keep some laundry soap
I received ample communication in the days leading up to our stay, as well as texts throughout the stay checking in for any needs as well a text with check out instructions. Convenient location to downtown Savannah and about 25 minutes to Tybee Island.
The home was a great size for us. It has all new appliances including a big stackable washer dryer. It was very clean and pretty well equipped. The location was great for us. There was a dog park very close by and you can walk to the downtown very easily. There is a back deck and a small space behind that and it is fenced in. There is very little space for storing clothing but we were able to make do okay. I found the property manager very helpful and attentive to our needs.
Perfect spot for access to many shopping and historical locations. Tybee only 15 minutes away. The hosts communicate often to make sure all of my needs were met and very friendly. My cavalier King Charles also felt right at home. All in all a great visit to Savannah. The only thing I was hoping for was First Saturday shopping which is now Third Saturday instead. So we missed this. Happy camper other than that.
This property was near the edge of the historical part of town and was perfect for us. This provided street parking which was a huge plus. The pictures did not do the listing justice, as it exceeded expectations. On a 30 sec coffee warm-up, a fuse seemed to trip for the microwave. We did report, but made clear we did not feel it rose to needing someone to correct, but they should check wiring, etc. Property managers were extremely responsive. We would stay again!
My wife and I stayed for 4 nights recently. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had a very nice washer and dryer. The shower is very small. A door would add a couple inches. Kitchen was well supplied, and all the appliances appeared new and operated well. The shareable back porch is really too small and tight for use unless the next door tenant was someone you are vacationing with. The bedsheets were too perfumed and we had to wash them after the first night, as my wife could not sleep with them. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. The owner/management was very responsive and available. Savannah beautiful.
The location was good but the noise on the street was loud at night. Not as many amenities as other properties. The pool was a 30 minute drive and not worth the hassle. We were surprised to not find any "welcome book" with suggestions in it like other VRBO's we've stayed in. It was a decent place to stay for a few days but not maintained very well. It was just ok.
Easy getting around on foot, dot bus, or using our car as parking was always available. Could hear noise from street and next door at times but otherwise a good spot.
This place was affordable and right in the center of everything. Google maps kept giving approx times of walking that were double what it was taking us, so we drove the first time downtown then walked everywhere after.
We stayed here for 4 days, my husband and 2 kids (12 & 13)yr old. The place is small but it was super cozy. Communication with the property manager/personal were great. Everything was near by the beach was soo close we hadn’t realized how quick we got there. It rained most of the time we were there but nothing Chipotle and a movie couldn’t fix . My kids and I enjoyed it we drove almost 17 hours and did not regret one bit of it.
