"The Green Cabin on the lake did not disappoint. A beautiful peaceful place where all you can hear is the bird song and the fish jumping. The cabin itself was beautifully clean and tastefully decorated. It provide all the comforts of home. A great place to escape the rat race and relax. Supermarket a few minutes drive away and some beautiful towns and villages to explore within a 50 min drive. Would highly recommend."

It has an excellent restaurant, with mainly organic and / or locally sourced produce. "Imposing Manor House set within extensive open parkland at the edge of the village. Large bedroom with modern en-suite and smart new linen. Graceful sun-terrace and well stocked library. Lovely Swimming Pool exclusive to residents. Chateau de Villars is nonetheless an upmarket Bed&Breakfast (Chambre d'Hotes); no catering apart from continental style breakfast and should not be marketed on a par with a similarly priced Hotel which would normally come with some level of all day service. Could definitely benefit from better signage/directions on entry and clean-up around the pool together with the addition of shower and changing facilities. "

"We have just returned from a 10 night stay with 11 family members of vastly varied ages, 80years to 1years and had an absolutely great time from start to finish. The host Leanne was super helpful, nice and always pleasant throughout, she communicated with us before our holiday providinb us with info and suggestions before our visit and then came down to the farm house on arrival and during our stay to clean the pool and make sure everything was ok for the family. The whole family would highly recommend this stay it's our first time in France and we will definitely be returning. A car is needed but within half an house in every direction there is loads to see and do. During our holiday us and the kids swam in the pool, lakes, rivers and a small waterpark, we went paddle boarding and kayaking in the local rivers. Had BBQ every night nearly and loved sitting out at the back of the farm house until long after the sun had set in the evenings. The kids really enjoyed the games room once they had enough of the sunshine. Brilliant from start to finish the whole holiday. Thanks again Leanne for having us. "
