Cuan Den Log Cabin - Book Now for a Unique High Country Summer Getaway!

A cosy, traditional log cabin at the base of Mt Buller, surrounded by bush, river and wildlife. Perfect for couples, small families or friends, it is a picturesque getaway to the High Country for any season.

A porch to watch the many adventures of the local wildlife welcomes you into the warm, rustic hideaway that is Cuan Den. Open plan, fully equipped kitchen, dining and living room designed with warmth and comfort at top of mind, while keeping true to traditional yet modern styling and features

Both bedrooms feature high quality mattresses and linen - a king bed in one, queen with a king single loft above in the second. Each bedroom has streaming capable TV's, with an XBox One in the latter. A huge double rainfall shower makes for a luxurious bathroom experience. Comfy leather couches surrounding the wood fired heater are a perfect place to relax after a day on the slopes, riding or hiking the many trails in surrounding forests and national parks or adventures on the Delatite River.

Sawmill Settlement is a very quiet, sleepy little town 2.5km from the entry gates to Mt Buller and Mt Stirling. The Delatite River and Mansfield State Forest are within walking distance.

Another listing, our larger log cabin Amaruq, is located directly adjacent to Cuan Den and shares a driveway.

cozy relaxing stay

Amazing host who provided detailed instructions both around the property and the surrounding area.Very clean and well decorated.We had a last minute decision and it is not easy to find a nice, clean, pet friendly place right begore New Year but we managed to do so. A bit costy but overall we were happy with our stay and sure recommend it.

Cuan Den Cabin

We absolutely loved our stay here!! From the moment we walked in we felt like we were at home. The cabin is so charming & beautiful. We enjoyed coming back after a long day exploring & lighting the fire, it was such a warm & cosy space. The location was also perfect to visit Mt Buller, Mt Stirling (Craig’s Hut), Mansfield etc. Kelly was a great host too. She gave us lots of helpful information about our stay, the local area & places to visit. We would definitely love to stay here again one day soon!!

We keep coming back!

This is our second time at the property and we loved it even more! Warm cosy, comfortable log style cabin with all the ammenities you need. Even the small touches went a long way, with gaming consoles and board games to keep the kiddos occupied. Well equipped kitchen, even with foils, wraps etc We really appreciated there having a washing machine dryer unit as well… so handy for young families! We also loved being only a 20-25min drive to the Mtbuller!

We will be back!

The property was situated in a beautiful location, with a quiet neighbourhood. Pets allowed, and our dog absolutely loved the green grass available to run around in. Kelly was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We will definitely return to this spot and have shared with our family and friends.
