Welcome to The sawyer cottage! We invite you to experience this young & fun design-team 2023 remodel. Very quaint, it is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood , surrounded by mature trees. Families can enjoy the comfortable layout with areas for entertaining, relaxing and dining. The cottage features a master en suite, plus two additional bedrooms with cozy sleeping arrangements.

After a day at the beach or exploring what the area has to offer, lots of family fun time is awaiting you! The spacious yard features a double tiered deck to lounge on, heated swimming pool, hot tub, fire pit and outdoor games.

Sawyer cottage is a quick 2 min drive to the Warren dunes beach and allows easy access to downtown Sawyer, Warren dunes state park, wineries, breweries, kayaking, popular bike trails & more. So much of what southwest Michigan has to offer is within 10-15min!

*all guests are required to sign and return our rental agreement, pool waiver. Please read all policies before booking

This property was amazing. The decor was cute, house has been updated and is a clean and spacious. There were 8 adults in our stay and only 2 people shared a bed. Plenty of towels, games and kitchen supplies. The outside hot tub, desk and fire pit were amazing. Large property. A quiet neighborhood surround by lots of trees and wildlife. Definitely looking for as to a return visit in warmer weather so we can use the pool. Only a 2 mile walk to Lake MI or a 1 mile drive. So nice!

Amazing little house with lots to offer

Clean, well equipped super cute little cottage house. Amenities blew us away...3 nights were not enough to experience everything the way we wanted. Location is great as well...close to stores, beach, dunes, hwy, gas station etc.Very friendly and helpful host Cathy, who answered all our questions and gave us some great food and fun time ideas. Truly recommend this spot, would go again in a heartbeat!!

Family friendly getaway

We absolutely loved staying at Sawyer Cottage! The house was clean and was exactly as pictured. Beds were comfortable, and the backyard was amazing. We walked around the neighborhood which is a beautiful, quiet, and remote slice of the world and also did a day trip to more exciting on-water activities. Even so, our kids wanted to move in to Sawyer Cottage and said that roasting marshmallows and swimming in the pool were the best part. Host was kind and very responsive. Would definitely go again!

Wonderful Home!

We had a lovely stay for our girls weekend. Property was extremely clean, host was kind, check in and out was very simple. Decor was adorable too! We felt right at home and would definitely stay here again.

Family Trip

My siblings and I were looking for a quiet place to spend some time with our mother, and this place was perfect. The Sawyer Cottage was very nicely decorated and felt warm and inviting. The beds were comfortable and it was very clean. There was plenty of space for us to gather and spend time together. I definitely plan to stay again.

Summer Stay in Sawyer

Beautiful wooded property with wild turkeys and deer sightings! Pool, hot tub, tetherball kept us entertained and owner was very helpful with any questions that arose. Well-stocked kitchen and clean throughout. Would highly recommend.

Summer getaway!

Great house in quiet neighborhood close to all that Southwest Michigan has to offer. Beautifully decorated house, very clean, and full of amenities! Highly recommend this house for a family or group of friends!!

Amazing experience!

It was our first time renting a house and it was an amazing experience! We loved the house! It was a beautiful cottage that all my family felt comfortable and enjoyed! We loved the pool, the hot tub, and being 3 minutes away from the beach! We will love to come back to this beautiful cottage!

Beautiful cottage in great location

Quiet, wooded neighbourhood. Cottage has excellent facilities including pool and hot tub. Cottage is very well equipped and comfortable, with tasteful decor. Warren Dunes state park with beautiful beaches 5 minutes away. We didn't want to leave!

Great outdoor space and updated house

This was our second time to spend a week in MI at this property. We had a great time enjoying the pool, hot tub, and fire pit. Great location to Warren Dunes State Park and short drive to either New Buffalo or St. Joseph. The host, Cathy, is very responsive and spoiled us with bubbles and water floats for the kids and local drinks for the adults.

Beautiful cottage!

We all loved our stay. The pool and hot tub were a plus. The beaches were close and beautiful. A lot of outdoor space to spread out. We had a fire and s'mores while catching lightening bugs. Our little ones had so much fun. The wild life was fun to watch across the front yard. Many pool toys and yard games to enjoy. We would love to come back.

Sawyer cottage

The owners have done a great job maximizing this property. The location was terrific for us. The pool was one feature that stole the show- couldn’t get the grandkids out of it. Cathy very responsive to questions. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Couldn’t be better!

This home and Cathy (host) were amazing! I stayed here with some friends for a weekend and it was perfect. The home is adorable, spotless, and has the best amenities. It is also only about 15 minutes to downtown New Buffalo, so it was easy for us to go there for bars and restaurants. Cathy was amazing to work with! I definitely plan on coming back in the future. Highly recommend!

Girls get away

All the girls loved this house. I had a great time cooking for them with a well equipped kitchen. The beds we comfy. The decor was so cute. The hot tub was a hot little upset we didn’t get to use the pool (it’s not open yet). But we will def be coming back.

Sweet 16th Birthday

The house was immaculately, cozy and comfortable. Our visit timing just missed the fall colors. The host was able and kind to accommodate my date switch due to unforeseen circumstances. My guests LOVED the hot tub and plenty of places to visit nearby or meander through the grounds and take in all the wildlife.

great, relaxing weekend!

The Sawyer Cottage was exactly what my friends and I needed before our jobs and lives get crazy over the summer. Gorgeous home tucked away in rural Southern MI. 2 minute drive to the Warren Dunes. The house is gorgeous. We had a great time around the fire pit, swimming in the pool, and relaxing in the hot tub. The kitchen was perfect for making most of our meals, and the surrounding towns have great spots for when we wanted to go out. Cathy was an amazing host and super communicative. Thank you Cathy!!

Exactly What We Needed

To begin, the the property was beautiful! It was easy to get to and scenic. There were many awww’s and ooo’s along the way. We were able to see deer and other wildlife, it was so nice. The entire place was very clean! All the rooms were nicely decorated. Especially the entry room. All of us spent a little time there, it was just so cozy. The pool was a little gunky but a good vacuuming should take care of it. The hot tub was awesome and the little cooler was very handy. Thank you so much for allowing us in your home!

Great communication, lovely house

Adorable house on beautiful property. The house is so tastefully decorated with extras like toothbrushes, bug spray and sunscreen. Cathy also left a sweet note and a bottle of Rose for my friends and I- it was so appreciated! We loved the hot tub. The only part we missed was the pool due to timing of it being opened, but I appreciated that Cathy tried her best to get that moved up for us! Sawyer is close to other Harbor County amenities and was a very cute little town with a great private beach. Cathy was a great communicator and I’d definitely stay again!

Perfect Getaway at the Sawyer Cottage!

My family and I had such a wonderful time at the Sawyer Cottage! Cathy was an excellent communicator and her love for the cottage was evident in every detail of the space. The house sits on a large corner property surrounded by beautiful trees. The home was exceptionally clean, decorated to perfection, and stocked with everything we could have needed! My kids (ages 8 and 11) loved the pool and my father (age 72) appreciated the hot tub. We used the beach chairs and umbrella she provided each time we went to the lake and enjoyed coming back to a cozy fire out back every night. Can't recommend the Sawyer Cottage enough - we are already planning our tip back next summer!

Relaxing and peaceful getaway with lots to do located nearby

The property was perfect for us! Exactly what we were looking for. Very secluded and quiet. Clean and tastefully decorated with plenty of room for all 9 of us. The property alone had plenty for us to do with a pool, hot tub, fire pit and propane fire table. Lots of seating, big yard with games and corner lot for privacy. On top of this downtown St. Joseph was only a 20-25 minute drive with lots of shops and restaurants, plus beach access, fountain splash pad and carousel. Warren Dunes State Park is literally 5 minutes away with beach access and dunes to climb, hiking trails and food trucks. Lots of breweries and wineries located in nearby towns. We absolutely loved our stay here, the host was amazingly nice and accommodating. There was a complimentary bottle of wine, gummy snacks and bubbles for the kids. Host also provided us with a very detailed list of things to do nearby. We will definitely choose this property again when we come back to this area!
