Summer at the Salty Dolphin!

The first floor of the main house offers two bedrooms and one full bathroom. One bedroom has twin-size bunk beds and the other has a double bed. This is a great space for visitors that have kids – the little ones can go to bed early downstairs while the adults can enjoy the evening upstairs. The washer and dryer are downstairs for easy access when coming back from the beach.

Upstairs in the main house features a large bedroom with a king-size bed off the large open concept kitchen, dining and living area. There are decks on each side of the house, both with water views – the ocean in the back and the Nonesuch River in the front. There is a grill on the back deck. The main house has an outdoor shower under the back deck.

The guest house is a great place for visitors to join you for your vacation while not being too close – they will have their own private area featuring a king bed, full bathroom and kitchenette. There is a loft above for well-behaved kids or adventurous adults (the loft is accessible by ladder only). The loft has an additional two full-size beds. There is a deck off the guest house with an additional grill for those not interested in the menu being offered in the main house. The guest house also has an outside shower. For the unfortunate rainy days, there is a covered walkway connecting the guest and main houses.

What a great place to stay one of my favorite

Great place for friends and family. The house is wonderful and the beach is a great family beach. If you love Maine in the summer this is the place to stay. I will be back next year I didnt want to leave. Thanks AJ

Wonderful!

We booked last minute and could not have been happier! The location was great and just a short walk down a path to the beach. The house was clean, well furnished & the separate space was perfect for our teenage daughters. There was a mixup with linens being delivered but the property manager was responsive and immediately took care of it. I would highly recommend!

Great first time in Maine

This house was a great option for our first time to Maine. We loved the location, beach was amazing, close to all the OOB fun and getting to Portland was really easy. We did have to buy a fan to get AC into the primary bedroom but that wasn’t a big deal. The AC did not work for about a day but the manager and the owner worked together to get it all updated and fixed VERY quickly. The only issue I saw with the house is the stair case is very steep so if anyone has limited mobility know that going in. All in all we had a great time, really enjoyed the house, they were a pleasure to work with and if we retune we will happily stay here again.

September Reunion

Our one week stay was very relaxing, the house was very clean, easy access to the beach, and friendly neighborhood. The only major drawback for us (in our 70’s) was that the stairs to the living area and primary bedroom were very narrow and steep. Carrying suitcases and groceries up were nearly impossible. Fortunately there is an alternate, but outside staircase that leads to a deck, then into the kitchen. This means you traverse from downstairs bedrooms, into the weather, to get back inside upstairs. Just wish we’d known about the stairs prior to renting.

The house is spacious and comfortably furnished. We had 5 adults and 3 kids, and we all had a bed to sleep in and could all fit at the dining room table. The house comes with beach chairs and carts and it’s a 3-5 minute walk to the beach— so close! AJ was super responsive to all questions/concerns. My only con is that there is only central air in the living room and detached sleeping area. The bedrooms in the house got pretty toasty, so we used fans and kept the window open.
