Our holiday apartment building underwent another renovation in the winter of 2026. Our family-run business—now in its second generation since 1956 (celebrating our 70th anniversary)—is nestled amid the magnificent mountains of Berchtesgaden. Quiet yet centrally located in the heart of Schönau am Königssee, it offers you the ideal setting for your most beautiful hikes and mountain tours through the impressive mountain landscape of the Berchtesgaden National Park. With numerous sports and recreational activities—such as hiking, climbing, mountain biking, canyoning, golf, and swimming—you can experience nature up close. You’ll find peace and relaxation in our comfortable apartments, each with a balcony or terrace. Our holiday apartments are equipped with every comfort, are allergy-friendly, and feature hardwood floors. Start your day feeling relaxed—a bakery and shopping options are within walking distance. We’re happy to arrange mountain bike rentals, guided tours, as well as spa and massage treatments. Our house is also an ideal starting point for winter holidays. Right next to the house is a small alpine ski lift with snowmaking and floodlighting; across from the house is a groomed cross-country ski trail. Kilometres of cleared hiking trails invite you to take winter walks. A horse-drawn carriage ride is a special experience in winter. For skiers and snowboarders, our region offers a wide variety of activities. Free Wi-Fi is available in all guest areas, and there is ample parking directly at the house. We accept cash and EC cards on-site, or bank transfers before your arrival. For credit card and debit card payments linked to a credit card, we charge a 4% surcharge on the invoice price.
This modern holiday apartment with a terrace was renovated in the winter of 2022 and accommodates 2 people. It is suitable for people with allergies and features hardwood floors. Our three-room apartment features a fully equipped kitchen with a large refrigerator/freezer, microwave, oven, glass-ceramic cooktop, coffee maker, kitchen utensils, dishwasher, and sink. A coffee bar with 2 bar stools (height-adjustable) is the perfect spot for your morning coffee. A spacious living room with a dining table, 4 chairs, and a cosy pull-out couch with a table, as well as an electric fireplace (heated), ensures your comfort. An LCD flat-screen DVB-T TV and a compact stereo system provide great entertainment; a safe and an information folder are also available. The separate bedroom, featuring a double bed (180 x 200 cm), bedding, a chest of drawers, and a closet, also includes an LCD flat-screen TV, bedding, a pillow, and a cosy blanket. A spacious bathroom with a shower/toilet, towels, a hair dryer, a cosmetic mirror, a towel warmer, and toiletries rounds out this apartment. It has its own entrance with a spacious coat closet. Free Wi-Fi is, of course, available. The terrace is furnished with chairs, a table, lounge chairs, and a parasol. A vacuum cleaner is also provided in the apartment. You are also welcome to take advantage of our daily bread roll service for a fee. The apartment can only be booked on a weekly basis, with check-in on Sunday—shorter stays are available only upon request! Cots and high chairs can be booked. Please note that we do not allow pets in our building.We recommend that you purchase travel cancellation insurance! We will refund any deposits made to date, minus a standard processing fee of 25.00 EUR.
The Almrausch bus stop is about a 2-minute walk away. Shopping facilities, numerous restaurants, an outdoor swimming pool, and much more are within walking distance. Hiking trails and mountain tours can be started directly from the accommodation. Lake Königssee is about 2 km away, and Berchtesgaden is about 4 km away.
