Explorer Hotel Berchtesgaden

"This is an excellent hotel for its price point! I felt like I got a lot of value for what I paid. The rooms are clean though no frills. The staff is helpful and attentive. The spa was clean and nice, although it is only open for four hours in the evenings. If you are used to some of the more premium hotel/spas in the Berchtesgaden area, you won’t be impressed. That said, the fact that the Explorer had one, didn’t charge extra for it, and kept it very clean is a huge plus for me. The breakfast was fantastic, although go early if you want to partake in the DIY egg stations. I went in the summer, and you absolutely can’t beat where the location. A quick 10 minute walk to either the Konigssee or Jennerbahn. I literally was busy from the moment I got there on Friday afternoon to the moment I left on Monday morning. I highly recommend the Explorer for those looking for the Berchtesgaden experience without breaking the bank."

"The staff was great. Alexandra was very kind and helpful. The restaurant waiters and waitress were all hardworking, efficient, and very nice. The restaurant food was excellent and we ate there both night of our two day stay. The common areas were very clean, cool and airy, and nicely appointed. The rooms were somewhat warm and we needed a fan, which was immediately provided upon our arrival by Alexandra. The only troubling thing about this hotel was a middle aged woman with tattoos wearing a drindl, who we understood was the manager. She was very rude to us when we checked in before our room was ready and we were trying to handle our luggage as directed by the staff. As we were doing so, the woman approached and spoke to us very angrily, said numerous things under her breath, scowled at us numerous times, and walked off without us understanding what we had done to anger her. This was our first impression of the hotel. This woman has no business being in a supervisory role there. Or having anything to do with the hotel’s clients."

"Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche! Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr sauber,gemütlich eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts Die Lage ist perfekt für Ausflüge und die Gastgeber waren herzlich und hilfsbereit wir kommen gerne wieder!"

"Das Apartment entsprach unseren Vorstellungen. Es war sehr geräumig, einladend und sauber. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was man für eine Woche benötigt. Sogar Geschirrtücher wurden gestellt. Die Betten waren komfortabel und auf der Terrasse konnte man hervorragend frühstücken. Wir empfehlen mit dem Auto anzureisen da es in der Umgebung viel zu entdecken gibt. Allerdings ist in nur 2 Gehminuten direkt eine Bushaltestelle. Hier werden Sehenswürdigkeiten wie den Königssee oder Berchtesgaden angefahren.Wir kommen wieder da es noch viel zu entdecken gibt und das Wetter leider nicht ganz mitgespielt hat."

"Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr ruhig und liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zum wunderschönen See. Sie ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt und sie war sehr sauber. Der Check-in und Chech-out waren unkompliziert und wir wurden vorab über eine detaillierte Beschreibung gut über alles informiert. Besonders die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war super. Er hat sehr schnell geantwortet und uns immer direkt weitergeholfen. Vielen Dank dafür nochmal! Wir können die Ferienwohnung auf jeden Fall empfehlen."
