"Netter Empfang und Schlüsselübergabe,Schöne Ferienwohnung mit 2 Bädern. In die obere Etage kommt man nur über eine steile, schmale Holztreppe. Gut für Teenager, die Eltern kommen nicht so oft hoch ;-) Wir hatten ein paar kleinere Probleme, die aber vom Vermieter schnell behoben werden konnten bzw. es konnte eine Kompromisslösung gefunden werden. Super schön und neu Wir fühlten uns gleich super wohl Die Lagen ist sehr gut , da man sehr viel Fußläufig machen kann 👍 Was ich leider sehr schade fand, das andere Gäste auf unsere Etage keine Rücksicht auf andere genommen haben 2 Tage lang wurden immer spät Abends die Türen geknallt und rum gerannt mit einer extremen Lautstärke."

"Pros: Das Haus war sehr geräumig. Außerdem gab es alle Geräte in der Küche zur Nutzung (alles für Tee, Kaffee und Gewürze zum Kochen, Lappen, Spülmittel und Tabs für den Geschirrspüler). Komplett ausgestattete Küche, sogar ein Eierkocher. Im Bad gab es Zahnbürsten, Seife, Duschgel, Toilettenpapier. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man zu Hause auch benötigen würde. Sehr ruhige Lage, aber nicht weit von der Landstraße und von dort zur Autobahn, so dass man schnell viele Orte in der Umgebung erreicht....

"I was unable to check in on my confirmed date, as this was on a Wednesday when the place is closed. I read the instructions in the booking that travellers must contact the property at least 24 hours before check in - which is 1 pm to 2.30 pm! I tried to contact a number I found on the website (not provided with booking) which reached an answer phone without an option to leave a message nor text. Pretty terrible situation after a long day of hiking in unfamiliar areas! Since I was unable to contact them, I luckily secured a place elsewhere in town (Gästehaus Mitte), which was absolutely accommodating. The Schloss Schöningen charged my card. I found an email address elsewhere and contacted them. The owners, the Principales, responded that they had sent a message one week prior via Expedia, which included the code to the key safe, so sorry can't help. I did not receive that message, and found it unusually early to provide the code. The screenshot they gave also gave the phone numer as emergency number, which they didn't respond to. Maybe the €95 they receive for no service makes them happier, but it leaves a unpleasant impression about them. I'm an experienced traveller, and expected instructions for self-check-in if needed, but could not access them. Expedia's, my, or their fault, I'm not sure, but their support and explanation was not what I would consider caring, but simply taking all the money they can."
