Quiet, spacious maisonette apartment (6pers.) 2bathrooms, 2balconies 30km to Heidelberg

Our 140 m² duplex apartment is located in the heart of the beautiful Odenwald region in the small village of Allemühl and can accommodate up to 6 guests.

(Note: On the first floor of the house, there is another vacation rental for up to 3 people, which can also be booked through Fewo)

Parking is available right in front of the house.
Access to the house is via an outdoor staircase.
Allemühl is part of the municipality of Schönbrunn and, with just around 320 residents, is one of the smallest of the 5 districts. Peace and relaxation will help you forget the stresses of everyday life.

About our apartment:
Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, dishwasher tablets, dish towels, dish soap, fully automatic coffee machine, basic coffee maker (filters provided), microwave, toaster, electric kettle, selection of teas...
You’ll find a washing machine, laundry detergent, bed linens, towels, toilet paper, shower gel, and shampoo.
A travel crib and a high chair are available upon request. (Please let us know in advance.)
The floors are laminate, hardwood, cork, and tile.
Your four-legged friends are also very welcome here!
Note: Cell phone reception in the vacation rental may vary in strength depending on your carrier. Therefore, I recommend making or receiving calls via apps (e.g., WhatsApp) to make or receive calls.

The Surroundings:
The villages of Allemühl, Haag, Moosbrunn, Schönbrunn, and Schwanheim (near Stolzeneck Castle, Minneburg, and the church ruins) are situated in a wooded and scenic area within the Neckartal-Odenwald Nature Park (www.naturpark-neckartal-odenwald.de) and the Bergstraße-Odenwald Geo-Nature Park (www.geo-naturpark.net). You can hike through the surrounding forests or explore them by bike on well-marked trails while enjoying the fresh air. (There’s also a very beautiful bike path along the Neckar near Eberbach!!)
We’re happy to provide you with three bicycles (and helmets).

You can book a boat tour on the Neckar starting from the “Town of Four Castles,” Neckarsteinach—for example, to Heidelberg—and it’s absolutely lovely :)
A handcar ride near Wald-Michelbach is a truly special experience.
The Katzenbuckel (the highest peak in the High Odenwald) is an extinct volcano. It’s located near Waldkatzenbach and rises to 626.8 meters. A visit to the Katzenbuckel Thermal Baths is also well worth it.
Hiking on the Neckarsteig trail there can be a challenge :)—it leads all the way to Heidelberg.
And in winter, Nordic walking enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy.
Unfortunately, there are no shops or restaurants in Allemühl (except for a small mill shop), but Eberbach am Neckar (6 km) offers all shopping options, restaurants, pharmacies, doctors, a swimming pool, sports facilities...
In Pleutersbach (2 km), there’s a nice café serving bakery items and a delicious breakfast...
The Wolfsschlucht and Magaretenschlucht gorges (near Eberbach) are challenging hikes. (Sturdy shoes recommended.) Also near Eberbach are the local castle ruins.
Hirschhorn (approx. 8 km) is already on the Hessian side of the Neckar. A castle (now a hotel) and a charming old town with city walls, as well as a beautiful chapel (14th century!) on the Ersheim side, characterize this charming little town on the Neckar.
The Dilsberg Fortress is a place that’s as historic as it is idyllic.
Heidelberg on the Neckar is 30 km away. There you’ll find the legendary castle, the Old Bridge, the Philosophers’ Walk, the Heiligenberg/Thingstädte, the Old Town, the zoo, numerous student bars, historic buildings, the Fairy Tale Paradise (Königsstuhl), the Heiliggeistkirche, a diverse pedestrian zone, and much more.
You can reach the diverse city of Mannheim from Heidelberg in about 15 minutes by car or train.
The small town of Schwetzingen is known for its beautiful palace park.
Swimming pools, golf, tennis, and horseback riding facilities are located in the immediate vicinity.
