Thatched-roof cottage with a sauna house in North Frisia


  • Our old thatched cottage in the idyllic and popular holiday village of Schwabstedt / North Frisia features a beautiful new country-style kitchen with an induction stove, a dining area in the kitchen, a cosy living room with a stove, an elegant bathroom with a walk-in shower, and 3 bedrooms.
    From the dining area/kitchen or living room, you can step out onto a spacious terrace featuring wooden decking, a beach chair, two sun loungers, and seating. A new sauna house with an outdoor shower is also available for our guests.

    Since mid-June 2020, the cottage has been ready to welcome guests and help them feel right at home.
    In addition to the Rose Room on the ground floor, the Captain’s Room in the attic offers sleeping accommodation. Another double bed is located in the maisonette room on the upper floor, from which the Captain’s Room is accessible.

    DAT SCHMUCKE HUUS is located in the quiet centre of the holiday village of Schwabstedt, about 15 km from Husum, and is an ideal starting point for trips to the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, explorations inland, and excursions through the Eider-Treene-Sorge river landscape.
    In the immediate vicinity, our guests can buy fresh baked goods from the local bakery. To prepare delicious meals, you can buy ingredients just around the corner at an EDEKA supermarket.
    You can enjoy local specialities at good restaurants in Schwabstedt and in the surrounding towns of Seeth, Friedrichstadt, Bergenhusen, and Husum.
    The river-side outdoor pool is about a 300-meter walk away.

    In Schwabstedt, bamboo e-bikes are available for rent, allowing you to explore the surrounding area. You can also rent an electric car.

Beautiful cottage in cosy, quiet town

Beautiful, comfortable house in quiet street. Very well equipped. Walking distance to Treene river and restaurants. Driving distance to beautiful Friedrichstadt, Husum and St. Peter Ording beach.

Sehr schmuckes Häuschen

Sehr schönes Ferienhäuschen. Der Kontakt war schon im Vorfeld sehr nett. Wir bekamen Informationen für Ausflüge und Unternehmungen. Dank dem Flußschwimmbad im Ort muß man nicht jeden Tag ins Umland fahren. Schwabstedt selbst gibt nicht viel her, was der Unterkunft aber nicht schadet. Und wer googelt weiß in welchem Dörfchen er seine Unterkunft mietet. Haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Wunderschönes Reetdachhaus in idyllischer Lage

Schon vor der Anreise gab es zu der herzlichen Vermieterin Frau Hansen einen netten Kontakt. Wir erhielten viele hilfreiche Informationen, um unseren Aufenthalt angenehm zu gestalten. Bereits die Anfahrt durch das bezaubernde Schwabstedt mit den netten Häusern und den Blick auf die Treene hat uns begeistert. Das wunderbar sanierte Haus ist modern, hochwertig und mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Die schöne Landhausküche bietet alles was man braucht und im Schlafzimmer haben wir uns über die gute Matraze und die schöne Bettwäsche gefreut. Es gibt einen wunderschönen Sitzbereich mit Grill direkt vor der Tür und es ist uns trotz des schlechten Wetters einmal gelungen im Strandkorb zu sitzen. Von Schwabstedt aus gibt es vieles zu entdecken, in unmittelbarer Nähe Husum, Friedrichstadt und das Storchendorf Berghuusen. Wir waren in Büsum und haben Krabbenbrötchen gegessen und sind mit dem Zug ab Friedrichstadt in eineinhalb Stunden nach Westerland (Sylt) gefahren. Auch ein Ausflug nach Flensburg, Schleswig und Haitabu lohnt sich. Wir können das wunderbare Häuschen uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und werden noch lange an die schönen Tage denken.

Dat schmucke Huus ist eine kleine gemütliche Kate zum Wohlfühlen. Aufgrund der zentralen Lage sind alle sehenswerten Orte in Nord-Schleswig schnell erreichbar. Aber auch das Haus lässt mit Sauna und toller Einrichtung keine Wünsche offen. Frau Hansen ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und gibt wertvolle Tipps, mit denen man seine Unternehmungen planen kann. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und komme gerne wieder. Vielen Dank.

Ruhe und Besinnlichkeit

Verträumte kleine Kate. Urgemütlich. Genau das Richtige, um mal eine Woche für sich alleine abzuschalten. Aber auch sonst eine günstige Lage. Man erreicht Ausflugziele wie Husum, Friedrichstadt, St.-Peter-Ording oder Schleswig und Eckernförde auf kurzen Wegen. Ich bin begeistert.

"Dat schmucke Huus" ...

... beischreibt es sehr gut. Die Reetdachkate ist sehr gemütlich und stilvoll eingerichtet. Gleichzeitig fehlt es nicht an modernen Annehmlichkeiten wie Fußbodenheizung oder Internet. Uns hat es mit 4 Personen an gar nichts gefehlt, so dass wir diese Unterkunft herzlich weiterempfehlen möchten!

Ein Traum unter Reet

Wir haben die Woche bei Eike in der schmucken Reetdachkate in vollen Zügen genossen. Die Kate ist mit allem erdenklichen ausgerüstet, blitzsauber und so richtig gemütlich eingerichtet. Eike ist eine hervorragende Gastgeberin, die Begrüssung sehr nett und herzlich und hilft mit Tipps wenn man das möchte. Leider war die Woche zu schnell um, wir hätten uns noch ein paar Wochen wohlgefühlt. Hoffentlich auf ein nächstes Mal. Nic und Chris

Schnuckeliger Rückzugsort

Das Häuschen war an allen Ecken und Enden einfach wunderbar und mit so viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Allein die Schönheit, mit der man umgeben war, hat so viel zum Erholen beigetragen. In der Küche war alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Unsere Kinder haben den kleinen „Innenhof“ und die süßen Zimmer sehr genossen. Der Kontakt zu Frau Hansen war sehr angenehm.

Alles super!

Wir durften eine tolle Woche in diesem wunderschönen Haus verbringen und haben es sehr genossen! Das Haus ist wunderschön und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Außerdem war es überdurchschnittlich sauber. Die Küche ist hervorragend ausgestattet und lässt keine Wünsche übrig. Der Kamin und die Sauna sind dann noch das i-Tüpfelchen! Wir nehmen tolle Erinnerungen aus dem Urlaub in Schwabstedt mit. Frau Hansen ist auch super freundlich und hilfsbereit!

Wunderschöner Urlaub

Das Haus ist geschmackvoll und mit viele Liebe eingerichtet. Es hat eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, ein tolles Bad, schöne Zimmer und einen ruhigen, sonnigen Außenbereich. Die Lage ist optimal für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Mit den SUP's auf der Treene hatten wir sehr viel Spaß. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen, erholsamen Urlaub und können das Haus nur weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Vielen herzlichen Dank für einen tollen Aufenthalt im Norden.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, gute Lage

Die Wohnung ist sehr liebe- und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Traumhaftes Haus. Wir wurden auch liebevoll umsorgt mit Tips. Am Ort hat uns das Flussschwimmbad besonders gut gefallen i.V. mit den SUP-Boards.

Traumhaftes Häuschen - Erholung pur

Eine Woche durften wir in der frisch renovierten Kate unseren Urlaub verbringen. Das Häuschen ist mit ganz viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und es fehlt wirklich an nichts. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und steht einem mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Das kleine Örtchen Schwabstedt ist ein toller Ausgangspunkt um die Gegend Nordfriesland kennenzulernen. Im Ort gibt es einen Bäcker und ein Lebensmittelmarkt, sodass man sich stets mit dem Nötigsten versorgen kann. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Fantastische Unterkunft

Wir haben schon in viele Ferienhäuser gebucht. Aber so eine tolle Unterkunft hatten wir noch nie. Die sehr nette Vermieterin hat wirklich an Alles gedacht. Es hat an nichts gefehlt, die Unterkunft war äußerst gepflegt und perfekt gereinigt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Insgesamt 5* Plus!

Sommerfrische an der Treene

Wir haben uns in diesem schönen Häuschen rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Kate ist frisch renoviert, sehr sauber und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, schöne Umgebung mit anderenn reetgedeckten Häusern. Besonders gut gefallen haben uns die schöne große Küche und der Außenbereich, wo man sich prima zum Essen und Ausruhen aufhalten kann. Schwabstedt ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Radtouren in die nähere und weitere Umgebung, Edeka, Bäcker und gutes Restaurant vor Ort, und ein Highlight ist das Bad in der Treene. Sommeridylle pur ohne viel Touristen-Rummel.

Summer Holiday

Dieses "schmucke Huus" ist glaube ich fast nicht mehr zu toppen. Sehr gepflegt, liebevoll eingerichtet. Es fehlt an nichts. Eine sehr nette Vermieterin steht mit Rat und Tat zur Seite sollte es denn nötig sein. Die Lage ist ideal für Tagesausflüge sowohl zur Nordsee als auch zur Ostsee. Wir kommen wieder....

Das Haus ist sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet . Auch der Außenbereich ist toll. Man kann von dort aus viel unternehmen. Die Vermieterin hat sich sehr nett und unkompliziert um alles gekümmert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehlen es auf jeden Fall weiter!

Wir waren für 1,5 Wochen in diesem wirklich sehr schönem und sehr gut ausgestattetem Ferienhaus. Alles ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war angenehm. Es bieten sich Tagesausflüge nach Sylt, Amrum und St. Peter Ording an. In näherer Umgebung sind Friedrichstadt, Husum und Tönning. Wir können das Objekt zu 100% weiter empfehlen.

Gemütliche Reetdachkate

Wir hatten eine sehr gute Zeit, in dieser frisch renovierten Kate. Das Haus ist top modern ausgestattet und liebevoll im Landhausstil eingerichtet. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die umfangreiche Küchenausstattung, welche keine Wünsche offen lässt. Sehr netter Kontakt mit den Vermietern und ein zu empfehlendes Ferienhäuschen!
