This is a beautiful spa resort. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. Lovely restaurant and bar, lovely pool and spa area, free use of bicycles, and great location near Fussen, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves and we would definitely return.

The man at the service desk was simply mean and unapologetic about our shower breaking and messing up our entire day as it took hours to fix and our baby could not nap. We weren’t offered a room or any extra care to help make it better. Left a very bad taste to a very special and long awaited trip. There were flies all around in the spa and the room was very disappointing considering the price. I thought this hotel was going to be our greatest stay on the trip and it turned out to be the worst.

Such a beautiful hotel with wonderfully decorated rooms! Loved being in the country with great views of the Neuschwanstein Castle. The staff were very friendly and the food in the restaurant was great.

Great location to visit Neuschwanstein and explore the area. Spa amenities were a welcome surprise, first class. Only regret is we didn’t have more time to spend there. Would highly recommend as the place to stay

The subtle things in the service at the hotel from all the staff. The food was I believably delicious. The views were sublime as was the people working during our stay. Breakfast with a real Frame of local honey was beyond words Thank you

Excellent hotel, staff was courteous from the beginning to the end of the stay. They even found someone who spoke Portuguese with my in laws. The room was comfortable and well designed. Dinner and breakfast were also great.

The hotel is likely one of the best in Schwangau. Having said this, the staff could be better at anticipating needs, like toilet paper (had to ask for another roll) room service (no butter or salt and pepper, and missing items). There were little things like the floor being dusty and the minibar fridge having a room temperature instead of nice and cool. The restaurant is top notch—Michelin. The view if the castles —fantastic. Quiet, good bedroom beds etc. qualified endorsement.

I liked the proximity to the Castle. I liked the welcome Champagne. I did not like that staff did not take phone calls in evening. Also when I phoned for US adapter, which they had, they asked me to go down to retrieve. You would think a “Superior” hotel would bring it up to my room. Lastly they were not helpful when it came to getting train information. Amenities were great as well as it’s location but staff was not up to par.

Lovely hotel, little over priced
Hotel is lovely, overlooks the famous Neuschwanstein Castle with a gorgeous pool. Check in was easy and staff were super friendly. Breakfast was tasty, especially enjoyed the Buck’s Fizz on offer. I would say it’s just a touch overpriced, but think they charge the premium as there are not many nice hotels in the area.

A bit of a slow check in but then the staff were amazing the food as well, Sonya looked after us for three nights while doing our fine dining and believe me it was she is a credit to you’re hotel thanks so much for a great 4 days

The hotel, design and staff were all impeccable. When every detail is tended to in a precision manner it really shows. The restaurant food was also some of the best. 5 stars for dining and accommodations all the way around.

The room and hotel were just gorgeous. I didn’t want to leave!! The only negatives was that they didn’t have air conditioning. Had Germany not been unseasonably hot, it wouldn’t have been a problem and the hotel, grounds and view more than made up for the minor inconvenience.

No AC makes summer nights tough
Pros: - Great views of Neuschwanstein castle - Clean - Good breakfast - Bike rentals great for rides to Füssen! Cons: - No air conditioning. Hot and hard to sleep in during hot summer days! - Pool area has very few places to sit - Bathroom layout was such that there was no privacy when taking shower. No door for this area of the bathroom. - Free WiFi slow Overall I would not recommend this hotel for summer visits. I had a hard time sleeping because to cool of the room enough to be comfortable I had to leave the screen door open for the night, introducing noise which also made it difficult to sleep. I will say though that the breakfast area is very nice and overlooks a beautiful pasture with the Neuschwanstein Castle in the background!

Dear sir, thanks for your review. we are sorry about the "hot day/night" you had. Just to explain our situation: We are direct at the Bavarian Alps and 800 m. over the sea level. We have 6 months winter and maximum 10 days in a year that could be "hot" as you experience. The Other 355 days of the year are in the late afternoon very pleasent and good temperature. All the houses and places in our region are not build for this 10-days exception on the year (no AC). If in the future the clima in the world really changes and we will have much more weeks like this, we will definitely changes. Also, we are a very small village and for us let the windows and balcony-door open is very common and really not a problem. Thanks for the positive words about the other topics. kind regards

This hotel's location, staff, food and rooms were all amazing. The breakfast is great and table waiting time is really quick and efficient. The staff were also extremely attentive after I had a fall on my bike and helped me greatly. Thank you again!

Das Rubezahl is a great hotel at the foot of the Bavarian Alps with a fantastic view of the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle. The hotel is comfortable with very nice facilities. Great rooms with nice bathrooms with a very well appointed wellness spa.The only area of improvement would be the breakfast which does have a great spread but there could be more choice in terms of local delicacies and fruits. While checking out, they do give you their home-made marmalade (delicious) which is a very nice touch.

Zimmer werden alle 2 Tage gereinigt und für die Einsparungen als ökologischer Ausgleich Bäume gepflanzt. Gute Idee wen no man die Story weiter verfolgen könnte. Wo und wieviel wurde gepflanzt usw. Da wir das Zimmer erst nach 3 Tagen gereinigt haben wollten, klappte der Service dann nicht mehr richtig im Rhytmus und Vollständigkeit. Sehr freundliches Personal und kompetente Hotelbar mit Riesensuswahl. Tolle Weinkarte. Mit Abstand das Hotel mit den meisten Leihfahrrädern (und das ist kein Sporthotel). Absolut ruhig sind die Zimmer auf der Westseite bis auf den morgendlichen Anlieferverkehr was verschmerzest ist. Zimmer Ostseite mit umwerfenden Panoramablick auf die Schlösser, Weide,Kühe. Schön wäre beim Checkin ein gemeinsamer Rundgang durch Wellness, Restaurant und Terrasse gewesen.

Troppo caro per i servizi offerti e per la qualità della struttura in generale. Ristorante costoso e cibo di media qualità. La SPA appena suifficiente. La cosa più grave è che se chiamavi in hotel per prenotare direttamente di facevano pagare oltre 100 euro in meno!!! Dei truffatori....

With your review we can't really grow up. Just writing that we are very expensive (you know the rates before you book, right?) and that the quality isn't good is a generic statement... And...we are not truffatori ! With sure you don't pay 100 euros lesser if you book directly. May be you compare different room categories? regards
