Do your research find a better place.
Very dated hotel. The key card system into the room is very poor. I kept having to go downstairs to get it fixed. Had to go down twice one time, then had to use their staff key…helpful but very annoying and time consuming. Is clean but as I said very dated. Staff offer basic service, only one there so can be slow. Location was good right next to station. But is a very small town so a short walk to another hotel is not much of a difference. It was last minute to stay after a long day, so I would do some research and find a better hotel next time. Not worth the price.

The hotel and the location were excellent. The only down fall was the parking issue was only in a public stall for a few and the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. Other then that the hotel was great.

Clean Hotel next to the train station
This hotel is good for you if you want a simple clean hotel room near the train station. The rooms are modern and basic. The breakfast buffet is good.

This was a 1 night stay in Schwerin, near the train station providing me with quick and easy access to and from it. The room, bar and breakfast were all great. I slept comfortably and all the staff were nice and helpful. Loved every bit of this stay.

Great hotel, right next to the train
This hotel is just across the plaza from the train station. It's very clean, the staff is friendly, and the rooms have everything you really need for a night or two's sleep at a great price. There is no kettle in the rooms, so you can't make yourself coffee, but you can get a free coffee in the reception area most times of the day. The breakfast and restaurant prices are high but there are a few restaurants and bakeries around. We had breakfast for two at around 10 euros at the bakery right in the train station. I'd like to see them update their fading painting collection on the walls. If you decide that you don't want housekeeping services every day to help the environment, you can get drink vouchers for their bar.... but be sure to get them day by day or you won't have time to take advantage of your bonus for having foregone the cleaning services.

Good for one night stays.
Ok hotel. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable thing, but did the job for one night. Very sad to find there was no kettle in the room, nor personnel at the bar.

With a central location it was easy to view the sights in Schwerin. Although we had to pay for parking at the hotel, they did offer a free public transport ticket for the town.

Basic lodging at decent price.
This is a no frills hotel. It is basic lodging at an acceptable price. The room was relatively comfortable and clean. Being that there aren't many options in the area, this is probably the largest.

Too close to the train station
It was a nice and clean hotel But no air conditioning so we had to keep the window open. This would have been ok except the train station was directly across the street from the hotel. Otherwise ok place to stay. The breakfast was really good but a bit pricey

Good value, easy walking to central town
This hotel was a value. The location is convenient. Parking is nine euros per day. Breakfast is not included but for purchase.. Staff was friendly. Wifi is by purchase for time. There was a bus load of tourists using the hotel when we arrived. It was quiet in the rooms.

Nice hotel in convenient location
This hotel was in a perfect location for our stay in one of Germany's best towns. Lakes are nearby and a bakery in the nearby rail station is perfect for breakfast. We would enjoy a return to the hotel and the town.

InterCity Hotel Schwerin
Good clean hotel with helpful reception staff. Location very convenient, close to main station and 10 mins walk to centre of town and castle/lake. Fairly basic room , but bright and very clean. Good buffet breakfast and good value for money.

Als gut empfinden wir dass das Hotel am Hauptbahnhof sich befindet, da wir mit der Bahn anreisen. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, ist sauber und das Personal ist sehr nett. Gemacht werden muss etwas an den Betten, da die Matratzen sehr durchgelegen sind und die Kopfkissen so dünn sind, dass man diese zusammenfalten muß um ein bisschen gut zu liegen. Ansonsten ist soweit für den Preis alles in Ordnung. Frühstück haben wir dort nicht gemacht, wir sind im Bahnhof nach Bäckerei Junge gegangen.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Hauptbahnhof, je nach Zimmer kann das mit Lautstärke verbunden sein, da die Fenster leider viel Schall durchlassen. Das Personal am Empfang ist, was die Freundlichkeit betrifft, durchwachsen. Ich hatte bei Expedia ein Zimmer mit Queensize-Bett reserviert, tatsächlich habe ich ein Standard-Einzelbett mit ca. 90x200 cm bekommen. Angeblich sei das so normal. Das Bad war eiskalt und man konnte nur mit einer Wärmelampe heizen, was jedoch keinen merklich Temperaturunterschied brachte. Wer in Ruhe frühstücken möchte, hat hier doppelt Pech: man nimmt das Frühstück in einem Teil der Eingangshalle ein, leider ist es hier sehr hellhörig. Des Weiteren wird hier laut scheppernd abgeräumt.

Bin das 2. Mal hier und es ist eben ein klassisches Bahnhofshotel ohne viel Schnickschnack. Dafür ist es aber immer sehr sauber. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Mein Hotel der Wahl, wenn ich ein schnell ein Hotel in Schwerin brauche.

Hotel in top Lage
Die Lage direkt am Bahnhof und unweit der Innenstadt ist top! Das Personal war sehr freundlich, das Zimmer sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Außerdem war es sehr ruhig. Betten waren auch bequem und WLAN funktionierte.
