escape to the woods
You can actually hear yourself think out in this cabin. The view is amazing and there is wildlife to watch (take binocullars) If you need to get away from all the over stimulation of your life get this cabin, It is not close to anything so take what you really need and enjoy. We drive probably 20 minutes to a small town and had some good food take out but honestly we couldnt wait to get back, I suffer from insomnia and I listened to tree frogs and crickets and slept better than I had in years. This is not a luxury hotel its a rustic cabin in the woods. We loved it!

Escape from reality
This cabin was eveything we asked for when we wanted to get away from our busy life. Updated and well appoinented inside. Beautiful lake and walking paths outside. Advised in advance of spotty wifi allowed for plenty of time for fishing, board games, puzzles and naps. We had a wonderfully relxing time and hope to go back in the summer. Thank you Kevin and Lori!

Perfect Getaway

Cabin in the woods, quiet and delightful!
The property was as advertised with a lovely fieldstone wood burning fireplace. Kitchen very well appointed with all things needed for a comfortable stay. The lake and surrounding acres were really breathtaking especially because we had great weather - cool but very sunny and clear. Very quiet and private if you are looking for a true getaway! We plan to return!!! Thank you!!

Wonderful stay!!
We absolutely love coming here. Very peaceful and quiet. This is our 3rd year in a row coming to celebrate my son's birthday. It's beautiful in the winter. We look forward to coming back in the summertime someday. Kevin is an awesome host and very helpful with everything!

Great Family Stay During Christmas Week

First loved the location and liked the cabin. First time we ever stayed at a place the had pictures of burning fireplace and a fire pit outside but provided no firewood. Called the host about the wood and was told maybe we could go into town and buy some. I could have brought some from home had I known but then how many people have access to wood or room to haul it. Overhead kitchen light fixtures were full of dead bugs, not a very good look in a kitchen. If you have any qualms about ingesting teflon I suggest you bring your own skillets. There are some more things but they need to work on hosting skills a little more. This trip was a bit of a let down.

Absolutely amazing!
The cabin and the property are beautiful!! We had such a great time! Super secluded and quiet! If we could give it 100 stars we would. Fished from the dock, went out in the boat, walked the trails, had a campfire….it was perfect! We had to message Kevin with a couple questions before we got there and he was super quick to respond. We had to call him with a question when we arrived and he was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Brothers reunion
My Brothers and I stayed and enjoyed the quite that allowed us to catch up with one another. Loved this cabin and Kevin the owner quickly replied to our sos in getting into the cabin. Beds were comfy, everything was clean and the furnature was great. We enjoyed the firepit and the screened in porch. OUTSTANDING place.

Perfect place to disconnect
Property was beautiful, they had so many little things you may forget when planning a trip. Cabin was clean. Ran out of propane the second night, thought it would be easier to try the bonfire grill than to call the owner and so glad we did because im gonna add one to my amazon cart. We only caught bluegill, but had a great time on the pond and the kids loved swimming in it. We also took the boat out a couple times and that was awesome. The internet was not good just as mentioned in the ad and other reviews and im glad because my whole family was able to disconnect from the internet and reconnect with each other. It was a pleasure to stay there and we did not want to leave!

Cabin was spacious and clean, and well stocked. The property is so beautiful and well maintained. The lake was full of fish and super pleasant to swim in. Wonderful Getaway!
When other reviews stated don't take a thing, it was 100% true. The host had an array of items needed to make this getaway one to remember from, life jackets, bug spray, towels, plenty of blankets, fully stocked kitchen, and MORE. Take your clothes and food and leave everything else behind. The wifi and TV are worthless, but that's one of the best things; sit around the table playing games (bring your own) or sit around the campfire talking. If the host allows us, we will hopefully be back this year!

Wonderful family getaway!
We enjoyed staying at the cabin so much! The cabin was very nice and comfortable and the lake was amazing! It was bigger than we expected and the kids never quit swimming and kayaking except to eat and sit around the campfire in the evening. The setting is very picturesque with beautiful tall Pines. Even though this cabin was close to our home we felt as if we were in a whole other state like Minnesota or Wyoming. The hosts were very accommodating and the cabin had lots of little touches that were helpful. Thanks for a great vacation! PS The addition of a waterslide for the lake would be so much fun for next year! 😃

Perfect Spot!
I cannot say enough about how perfect this place is and we have been there through snow storms and tornado warnings haha. There are a quite a few things that are important to us when we rent a space and this cabin has them all: comfortable sleeping, comfortable chairs/couch, close proximity to free activities (hiking, fishing, camp fires, boating etc), nice family spaces (kitchen, dining tables etc), and excellent owners. We were glad that we brought a few fans since temps were so high. We even pitched our tent by the lake to camp out one night. Thank you for having us over the 4th. It was an amazing birthday treat for my husband! For those avid fisherman, bring some strong line because we saw some shadows or some pretty big fish besides blue gill and crappie. :)

Totally amazing we have never done this before and now we cant wait to do it again, kevin and loris cabin was clean refreshing and bigger than we had expected. The lake which is 50 yards or so from cabin was something out of a movie. We swam we caught lots of fish(catch and release) but it was a experience we will never forget. I only wish i had a few more days to enjoy the weavers cabin. Thanks again kevin and lori!!!

We absolutely loved our stay. Very clean and cozy. Well maintained and very unique. Really enjoyed the pond and beautiful area way out away from it all. The only downside at the time of booking the price was advertised as $165/day. (3 day stay) . However, when checking out, we were billed for $175/day. Should have said something at the time but didn’t. So, kind of feel like we were overcharged $30. Probably just a mistake. We still thoroughly enjoyed our stay and think the owners are good people that gave us a chance to really enjoy these last 3 days. Thanks so much!

Our pricing fluctuates a bit depending on time of year but usually it’s closer to $200 per night. VRBO does give you the actual total before you book but it’s easy to miss.. Thx

Serene getaway
We loved and enjoyed our stay!! It meet and exceeded our expectations....we booked it not really sure what we were going to get, but, it was beyond what we could have imagined! Very private and secluded....we had use of the spacious yard, fire pit, grill and lake with a boat.....all to ourselves!!! No other house's around.....so quiet and peaceful. We were able to really enjoy ourselves. We set up a net and played badminton, did some fishing and had plenty of time enjoying the outdoors. Cabin is beautiful, spacious and extremely clean and updated! Everything was very functional and cozy...they really thought of everything to make our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Loved how we had use of the whole house and enjoyed all the amenities. The host Kevin was very friendly and available if ever we needed anything and loved the special touches in the house by Lori. We felt very welcomed and would love to go back again next year. Thank you Kevin and Lori for sharing your beautiful cabin.

The perfect escape!

I'm sorry you had a problem with the water, if you're used to city water it will be different than what you're used to but I promise you it is not sewage water!! Our water is from a fresh-water well, approved by the county health dept. and is additionally filtered through a water treatment system -- it is safe water!

I absolutely loved my stay at the cabin. It was perfect!! It’s completely secluded with a beautiful pond. Cabin is spotless & has pretty much everything you need. We bought food and were able to cook inside, as well as, on the grill outside. The perfect escape from everyday hustle & bustle! So peaceful.
