My wife and I stayed here for an anniversary getaway and thoroughly enjoyed it. The house has a very nice cozy, quiet, and private feel to it with lots of natural lighting and pretty views.
This house was a perfect way to begin our two week Arizona adventure! We ventured out daily to explore Sedona- and came back to this peaceful little retreat each afternoon. It was clean and comfortable and perfect for us!
First time in Sedona and it did not disappoint. The neighborhood is quiet with an impressive red rock back drop and the property leaned into the zen vibes of the area. Katie was quick to respond with suggestions for our family to explore and places to eat. Just outside downtown Sedona but the drive through red rocks makes it worth the extra distance.
Staying in the home was a great way to experience Sedona. The care and consideration with which its owners maintain their space was a treat to experience.
I knew we had picked a beautiful home but it proved to be more than a beautiful home. Not only the remarkable layout and noted custom touches throughout, this home offered a sense of peace, serenity, and a connection to the outdoors. It was a vacation just being there. Thanks Katie for sharing your space!
Like a previous review of this property it was a bit more than I usually spend for a VRBO but from the moment my family pulled up to the drive we were in love. The neighborhood was quiet, the views amazing and the house was gorgeous. We had neighbors in the guest house almost every night but it was still very private and we saw them next to never. The communication from the owner was excellent.
My family and I came for a family wedding. It was our first time to the Sedona area. The Oasis Retreat was an amazing stay! We loved the beautiful architecture of the home. It was inviting from the moment we opened the door. The owners had everything clearly set up for an easy arrival. All the amenities the home offered was just what we need to feel at home away from home. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to the area that wants a very nice stay away from the busy tourist scene down in Sedona.
I’m a tough critic of homes. This place was fantastic in every way. Great lighting with the skylights. Very clean. Great collection of books and maps to help with hiking. Probably the best stocked place we have stayed at… spices , olive oil, plastic bags, etc. this made it very convenient. We also saw a coyote in the front yard one morning which was cool. Highly recommend for a unique stay in Sedona
This is a very unique house that has been carefully tended over the years. We made a fire in the fireplace and relaxed after a long journey. The kitchen is well stocked and clean as is the laundry room. Beds are super comfortable. The single full bath is jack and jill which made it a little awkward. We would have liked an outdoor space with a table to have meals. We were disappointed that we couldn’t see the red rock bluffs from inside or the small deck. The house is truly an architectural gem with beautiful woodwork.
We had the best experience at your property. Just two of us, so we splurged with a little more space than we needed...but it was so perfect! Two sitting areas, big kitchen; loved the layout of the space. We had not been to Sedona in 7 years and BOY is it busy with traffic! Staying here, in Jack's Canyon...we loved the peace and tranquility the area/home provided; while still close enough to Sedona to go for galleries, dining, car show. Hiking trails are so close to the house.
We're really grateful to have spent 6 nights with you.
What a comfortable and cozy stay. Perfectly appointed and near everything we wanted to do for hiking, dining, shopping. Thoughtful touches everywhere… Such a good vibe. Katie was attentive… Will be back!
This place is in a beautiful tucked away canyon. We loved it. The whole house has a unique design. We were very comfortable as we used it as a home base for our adventures. There is so much to do in the area including hiking, jeep tours, shopping, and hundreds of unique artsy shops. You really can't go wrong. Finally the internet wasn't bad at all for us.
This was my second time enjoying Sedona from this quaint property in Oak Creek, and this time I brought my girlfriends from NY and CA. The three of us slept comfortably, enjoyed yoga on the back porch, and spent our days hiking Sedona’s beautiful trails. Tucked away from the traffic in Sedona proper, this home is quiet, shaded, and close enough to enjoy downtown Sedona’s restaurants and shops. (And the book collection is one of the best we’ve seen!) We will definitely be returning…Thank you Katie for being so responsive and friendly!
This property is a very special place. Located in a quiet neighborhood it is a peaceful retreat after a day of hiking on the beautiful Sedona trails. The house has been lovingly cared for, comfortable, and unique. I especially liked the many windows and skylights, and the tv/sun room was my favorite. One evening we were visited by a bobcat on the porch. It was a bit cold to enjoy the outside seating areas, but would be an excellent spot to enjoy the stars in the dark sky neighborhood. Would definitely consider returning.
The location of Katie's house was beautiful and very easy to get to and away from the busyness of Sedona. We found a great breakfast place down the street next to Clarks Grocery Store. I believe the name is Red Rock Cafe. The views to walk around the house were awesome. The house itself was as described. We did have neighbors on the other side, but we saw them only once in the 4 days we were there and that was while we were both heading out to hike that morning. This was our first trip to Sedona, and it won't be our last.
Thank you.
This home is gorgeous! The views of the red rock mountains from the home and neighborhood are great. The home is a very well maintained and equipped craftsman style home that met our needs perfectly. I would absolutely recommend this home for adults or families with older children. It’s in a neighborhood away from town and you experience a sense of peace immediately upon arrival. The owner was very responsive to my emails and seemed kind and friendly.
If you have a large vehicle, I wouldn’t even attempt the driveway. Park on the street and walk down the drive.
This home is so quaint - like from a storybook - and has the best collection of books! Quiet neighborhood - exactly what we wanted to escape the triple digit Phoenix heat. (If you like noise and huge TV’s and video games - this isn’t the place for you.) The AC works well and the laundry room had extras of anything and everything...perfect little break to recharge and relax among the red rocks. Birds, bunnies and javelina roam this neighborhood. A short drive to town and restaurants and gift shops.
It was too hot for hiking this week but next time we will explore the trails and walk around town more...5 stars for comfy beds and a quiet and restful stay - We will be back for sure!

A home of character in the heart of the red rocks!
Conveniently located in the Village of Oak Creek , just minutes south of Sedona, this stylish home reflects the warmth and friendliness of the owners. The comfortable and artsy interior provides all the basic requirements of a home away from home. We especially enjoyed the abundance of reading material, the intriguing décor, and the sunroom, where a ponytail palm leans gently to the glass.
Outside is a small secluded yard with stone pathways. The deck sitting just outside the sunroom was an excellent place to enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine, gazing at the rock walls or brilliant stars. Mornings were filled with birdsong and the evenings with quiet or the soft rush of wind. The grill was clean and in excellent shape providing us several savory meals.
After a day of adventure we always looked forward to returning to this quiet abode. Thank Bev and Doug for sharing and the ease and convenience of the rental experience.
We loved the layout and design of the home, the comfortable beds, the well-stocked kitchen, and beautiful setting. We felt like it was a remote getaway, but it was actually very close to hiking, coffee, and restaurants. Best of both worlds!
My wife and I enjoyed our week+ stay, we made it our home and it was comfortable and quiet. It is 10 minutes from town and cell phones only work on the Wi-Fi, that was a plus for us-PERFECT!
The house is so wonderful, it takes you back to Old Arizona, Art Deco touches and thoughtful attention to comfort.
Communication with the owner was easy and accommodating.
Best for a couple or small family. Would work for very close friends who don't mind sharing the shower area.
We loved this delightful property, tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood. It was very quiet and private, even with others staying at the property next to us. The hosts were so helpful, instructions were very clear, which made checking in and out a breeze. The home was well stocked with anything we could need, we were all impressed! We only wish we could have stayed longer.
This was my 2nd time staying at at this property and it was just the space I needed to relax and rejuvenate. Katie's home is clean, comforting, calming, and warm. My intention when going to Sedona is always to heal and reflect. I could not ask for a more welcoming space to do this in. I promise you will want for nothing while staying there.
