We had a very quick stopover after arriving at the airport. We needed somewhere to stay until the next morning and stayed here. The front desk staff was very accommodating and professional. Our room was clean and a nice size.

New, modern construction with tropical and slight colonial touches. New elevator and cameras everywhere. Pristine through and through. Physical keys and power cards. The staff were pleasant over all but midday has best service. Younger staff are meek to point of rudeness--have poor phone edict. Language barrier is understandable but you can't just vanish or hang up when guests need help! Room service has a great variety, ingredients and presentation! Breakfast is so so. Poor room insulation. Quiet at night though. Rooms are clean, comfy and full of amenities. Wifi drops for hours. Strong, hot shower. Plenty of storage. Power outlets are not international and not a good fit with adapters. There's a grocery across the man road and a Pizza hut not far away. Other tiny food shops but can be risky. No matter when you order PickMe, drivers are slow. **Important note: without the card, the room power auto shut off is hours long instead of only 10mins. Leading to confusion of a blackout. Staff needs to tell guests this rather than sneaking away.** Hotel is a great first stop in Sri Lanka! Despite it's flaws.

Great value

We stayed here twice. The first time in a room next to the elevator on the 4th floor and the 2nd time in a room next to the stairwell on the 4th floor. The 1st time was excellent, 2nd time was very difficult to sleep there was some sort of pump or generator that kept running every 10 minutes, even with earplugs it was too loud. Although my husband who is a heavy sleeper was fine. Otherwise the hotel is excellent. Really new, great service with airport transfer and very close to the airport. There is a nice place to eat across the road (the portions are huge, even small size). Staff were helpful with arranging a driver for us to Galle.

Ceiling needs painting white in these very depressing rooms! Staff extremely noisy up to 1am and then from 3am - moving furniture about at all hours. I was not well while there and because of all this noise didn’t get a good sleep for the 3 nights there! Also when I ordered a plate of chips to my room the boy delivered a cold plate with cold hard chips - no fork, serviette or salt even. Management say they are training these boys - really!? They have a very long way to go! One towel is really not enough for a woman - I needed one for my hair also! The taxi driver provided by Limeshine to collect me from the airport on my arrival was extremely arrogant and unfriendly and could not even say thank you for the fare AND TIP !!! Then on Wednesday Limeshine provided me with taxi driver GIMHAN MANOJ to take me to my next accommodation in Colombo. We arrived too early for me to check in, people agreed to let me leave my things I said I would go for a coffee followed by GIMHAN who when we arrived at the coffee shop promptly order himself and a roti for which I was expected to pay fir mine and his! Then he started to organise my tours and how much he wanted for the 7 days I would be in Colombo using him and his taxi!!! He also arranged to collect me for my trip back to the airport details of which he saw when he took my phone off me! he tried to enter the lift saying he was checking my accommodation! I said no to this and his persistent texts and calls and I blocked him!
