It was perfectly situated to access the lake and the route to the castle, as well as being close to a grocery store and laundromat. "Stayed three nights in June in one of the suites with a balcony. Beautiful property in the high farmlands in the Julian Alps. Recently converted (in May? of 2025) a farm and farmhouse into an awesome hotel with 13 rooms in two different buildings. The hotel owners definitely didn’t cut corners - buildings, grounds, kitchen, decorations, furniture, etc. Room amenities were exquisite. Staff was super friendly and patient. Great breakfast each morning - combination of buffet and eggs/etc a la carte. We had dinner one night. The dinners during our stay were a limited prix fixe menu of three choices - fish (trout), venison (deer) and beef medallions. I had the beef and it was delicious. My wife asked if she could order off menu for a vegetarian dish, which they happily accommodated. It was also delicious. Good wine selection. Our suite room included a sauna in the bathroom, which was a wonderful treat. Overall great stay - and I’m a hard grader. We’ll definitely be back."
