Lovely home
Property is modern, clean, and comfortable. It’s in a great location for a stay of a few days - it’s on the golden circle and close to the ring road for trips along the southern coast. Hosts are helpful and responsive. Highly recommend.

Such an amazing time!
The cabin is wonderful and has most of the necessities from home. The only things missing where a dryer and mirror outside the bathroom, both of which can be easily done without. The cabin is a quick 10 minute drive outside Selfoss and is easily accessible to all the local attractions in southern Iceland. We were less than an hour drive from Reykjavik, Gullfoss, and Thingvellir National Park. Vik was only 1.5 hours away, so we even did an overnight there for a jeep and ice cave tour, black sand beaches, and the lava show. All are must sees! Erlingur is an amazing host who is very attentive and timely in his communications. I highly recommend him and his cabin to anyone looking to visit Iceland in the future. You will not be disappointed 😊

The cabin was the perfect location for us as it was basically in the middle of everything we wanted to see. The process of getting to the cabin was easier than I thought it would be and Erlingur was very helpful. Overall, the cabin was what we expected and when we arrived it was all very clean and well taken care of. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely Cabin for a Family Stay in the Mountains
We highly enjoyed our stay in these magical winter surroundings and this cabin. It was the perfect home base for exploring the Golden Circle and relaxing in the evenings. Our host was great and addressed any issues we had very promptly and satisfactorily. Would recommend the property and the host.

Nice Home in Quiet Setting
The home was very nice and clean and in a great location for seeing the sites on the Golden Circle. Had all the kitchen amenities you need, the hot tub was also a nice addition. I would have given 5 of 5 on everything, but the property does advertise a washer and a dryer but only has a washer. So plan accordingly, to either dry your stuff on the rack that is provided or pack more clothes. Also, we did have to walk to the property to get the remote to open the gate (not a long walk). My recommendation would be to give the owner a heads up 30 mins before arriving and then again when you arrive so they can be ready to open the gate for you. Same with checkout. Overall a good place to stay. I would definitely stay again!!

Comfortable home, good location
This house was clean and as described in listing. Mattresses were very comfy. Shower was a little small but there was plenty of hot water so didn’t really bother us. Hot tub was a welcome treat after hiking on glacier. Host was responsive. Great location - we did the golden circle, Selfoss, waterfalls down to black sand beach and Vik as day trips.

Perfect location to explore
The Cabin is quiet, comfortable and had everything we needed for a one week stay. The location is ideal for exploring the Golden Circle region of SW Iceland. It is only 15 minutes drive to Selfoss to pick up groceries and get gasoline. There was little traffic and driving was easy. We mostly cooked in and enjoyed the full kitchen. The hot tub is wonderful and much valued after a long day of hiking and exploring. We did not see or hear another person while staying at the Cabin so if you value privacy and need some extra room, this is the place to be.

My parents and I went on a winter getaway to Iceland to see the northern lights. We ended up not seeing any lights due to winter weather, but the cabin was absolutely wonderful and a great place to ride out a storm. Cozy, warm and solidly built with very well thought out amenities. The cabin feels like a little home and is incredibly inviting with a hot tub, fireplace, great wi-fi and well-appointed kitchen. It's in a great location close to lots of popular sights in southwest Iceland. I will definitely be staying here again!

Great experience all round from the property and communication with Erlinger, including changes that we had to make due to Covid. Lovely cozy cabin with fabulous hot tub, we loved the cinema screen too for cozy evenings in. Great location in the golden circle. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Would recommend highly.

Great hosts - however weather prevented us from.staying
Due to a snowstorm on our arrival in Iceland followed by high winds, the road systems were shut down which prevented us from making it to the cabin for our stay. Erlingur communicated with me about the lack of accessibility to the cabin and even included a map showing the road closures. He also included the sites he uses for determining driving conditions. During the booking process, he was easy to deal with and provided an extensive list of must sees that included their approximate distance from the cabin. Even though the weather did not cooperate, we did enjoy Rèkyavik and what we did see of Iceland. If we decide to return in the future, I would not hesitate to book this property for a future stay. The location of this property is also great - not too far from Rèkyavik and near most of the Golden Circle and also driveable to Vik and the south coast.

Wonderful cabin great host
Comfortable cabin with lots of room for our entire family to enjoy together. Appreciated having the hot tub and the projector TV made movies really fun. Erlingur was a very attentive host - we had the pleasure of meeting him and his daughter. Only wish it was a little closer to town although the the drive to recommended restaurants were quite manageable. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Wonderful stay
We loved staying at Erlingur’s property. We had some issues with check in, but communication was quick and everything was fixed quickly. The property is quiet and the area is beautiful and convenient to many Golden Circle attractions. We cabin was small, but felt spacious and well appointed. We enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of hiking. Our teenagers loved the loft and individual TVs.

Great place!
This location was amazing! It was central to be able to do the city, golden circle, and south coast without adding too much time. The cabin was styled perfectly and so cozy! I’d recommend it to anyone! (P.S. A second volume for the guest book is needed. The first one was full but so fun to read!)

Gorgeous Cabin Surrounded by Beauty
This cabin was the perfect home base for our Iceland adventure. Close to Selfoss we were able to have access to grocery stores and restaurants but still be far enough away that we felt like we were the only people around. The cabin was perfect for our family of 4 and our kids loved getting to stay in the loft. Waking up to jump in the hot tub every morning was a family favorite. I would highly recommend!!

It's perfect - just book it now.
This cabin is in a wonderful location. It is close to the city, but in the middle of the picturesque countryside. It is just a few minutes from all the things you want to see in the Golden Circle. The loft bedroom is as much fun as it looks. The twelve year old and nine year old chose to share it (even though there was an empty room) because it was cool. The separate TV's with headphones kept the peace the entire vacation. But honestly, the best part was the support from the owners. Travel delays kept us from checking in for two days, and when we arrived (unexpectedly) they let us in the remote gate in minutes. When we needed to find a pharmacy that was open on a holiday, Erlingur responded within minutes to help. When things didn't go as planned, the hosts were helpful and gracious. So, for real, just go ahead and book it.

We had a great stay in Iceland. It was good to come back every day to relax in this lovely cabin, after busy days driving and seeing all the wonderful sights. The cabin is in a good position, near the Golden Circle and Selfoss. Excellent communication with the owner, detailed directions and instruction book for use of all the equipment in the cabin.

Upscale cabin perfect for touring the Golden Circle
This cabin is comfortable and cozy with an upscale feel. The amenities are great - especially the hot tub! The kitchen was well stocked with clean, functional cookware to cook a complete dinner for our family of four. We enjoyed the projector for movie watching as well as having access to a washer. Super close to the kerid crater as well as the town of Selfoss. Selfoss has several grocery and restaurant options for restocking and refueling. We loved our time here and found the location to be relaxing and lovely. I would definitely recommend this cabin to all.

charming cabin
cozy, quaint cottage in a quiet area, yet it's conveniently located just off the main road. Close to Kerid Crater. A bit hard to find with GPS, but owners responded immediately with specific directions.

Great house and location!
This cabin was exactly what we needed. The bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and hot tub are all well sized and extremely well kept. It is clean and the handbook is epic and so useful! The owner is responsive and very helpful. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Amazing
This cabin is super nice very close to selfoss yet just far away enough to feel like you're not in the city where you can enjoy the real beauty of Iceland. It's maybe about 10 to 15 minutes away from Selfoss you have the grocery stores and some great restaurants.. the cabin is very well kept it has all the amenities and it's very modern yet very cozy look to it. The jacuzzi is definitely a big plus outside the cabin. We stayed at the cabin for 3 nights and it snowed one day....looks very beautiful looks like you're out on a different planet altogether. The cabin is located very close to the Kerid volcano approximately of 5 minute drive from the cabin. Overall we were family of five ....my wife myself and our three kids and we enjoyed our stay very much Will definitely come back and stay here if we visit Iceland in the future. Hopefully that will happen in the near future. Beautiful country, a great, stay and a beautiful cabin.

A home from home
We arrived after there had been quite a lot of snow fall which made for a beautiful landscape but treacherous driving conditions, the cabin was about 1.5 hours drive from the airport and the directions were easy to follow until the last part of actually finding the cabin itself, The directions said to take the 3rd turning but we discovered it was the first one that we saw with tyre tracks with a little sign of Lyngholt which wasn’t on the instructions. We drove too far past, ended up at a dead end and tried to reverse - unfortunately straight into a ditch covered with snowfall. We were eventually towed out by the car rental company sending someone out to us at a cost of £200 so the moral of the story is don’t put your car in a ditch - it costs a lot of get you out! The cabin itself is a little peace of heaven. It was cosy and warm and had everything you need to feel at home and relaxed. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is well stocked, the big screen projector is a bonus for watching movies, and the hot tub was wonderful for relaxing tired muscles after days out visiting sights. Selfoss is about a 20 minute drive away, there is a small mini market about 10 mins towards Selfoss but they only provide the basics. The cabin is close to a number of local sights, within 30-50 mins drive of Waterfalls, Geysirs, and Secret Lagoons - all of which we visited while we were there. We also got to see the Northern Lights on our last night which can be seen from the back of the cabin. That was one of the reasons we chose this cabin and location because we had a chance of seeing the lights every night. We were not disappointed by Iceland, the cabin, or the lights - highly recommended 👍

Wonderful cabin!
Enjoyed staying at the Briedablik cabin. Was well designed and very comfortable. Had everything we needed. Hot tub was a bonus, clean and clear. Owners had the most thorough instructions for directions, and use of all the equipment in the cabin, that I have ever seen. They also communicate in English. I contacted Erlingur by email once and heard right back from him. The cabin is on the road to Gullfoss and Geysir, and about 15 min from Selfoss. We had a nice dinner at Mika's on Highway 35 and tasty pizza at Prastalundur (don't fall for trying the fermented shark) on highway 35. Had a great breakfast at Kaffi Krus in Selfoss. Just wish we could of spent more time enjoying the cabin! Thank you Erlingur!

Beautiful Property with Great Amenities
We vacationed in Iceland with another couple and this spacious cabin was the perfect set up for us. The cabin had more than enough comfortable beds for sleeping and also a washer dryer combo for our laundry. We had the vast majority of our meals at the cabin and the stove and grill worked great. During the evenings we would unwind in the hot tub and on clear nights the northern lights were very visible. This is all on top of a great central location with many things to do and see in the area. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to visit Iceland.

Liebevoll und funktional eingerichtete Hütte mit allem was man für einen entspannten Urlaub in Südisland braucht. Viel Liebe im Detail für eine tolle, gemütliche Atmosphäre. Unsere Hochzeitsreise...
Der Gesamteindruck des Objekts war eigentlich durchweg positiv. Sicher, die eine oder andere Sache findet man immer. Das lässt sich nicht vermeiden und man kann auch nicht immer zu 100% erwarten, das alles seinen Vorstellungen entspricht. Aber alles in Allem waren wir mehr als zufrieden! Der Gastgeber war sehr nett und freundlich, als auch hilfsbereit, die Betten waren sauber, die Austattung des Hauses war hervorragend und auch die Lage war sehr angenehm. Lediglich die LKW's die dann und wann aus den Bergen fuhren haben da wirklich die Ruhe gestört, oder die weit entfernte Straße - ansonsten genoss man himmlische Ruhe und Frieden. Das Haus, als auch die Umgebung und die Menschen haben dafür Sorge getragen, dass wir uns in Island und dessen Natur und Menschen verliebt haben.

Wunderbare Unterkunft im Goldenen Zirkel
Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Mein 8jähriger Neffe war total vom DG-Zimmer begeistert und hatte somit schnell sein Zimmer ausgewählt. Die beiden anderen Schlafzimmer sind etwas klein, dafür ist der Wohnbereich groß und gemütlich. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Wer die Atmosphäre noch heimeliger gestalten will, sollte Kerzen und Holz für den Kamin mitbringen. Lebensmittel sollte man am besten gleich in Reykjavik kaufen. Die Unterkunft ist schon „etwas ab vom Schuss“ - allerdings nur was Tankstellen und Supermärkte anbelangt. Ansonsten liegt sie perfekt um die Attraktionen des Goldenen Zirkels zu erkunden!

Mysig stuga med hemkänsla
Jättefin stuga i ett lungt område. Verkligen avkopplande och samtidigt nära till många sevärdheter. Stugan var bra utrustad, bra kök, sköna sängar, bra wifi och sist men inte minst ett härligt bad på altanen. Jag skulle absolut välja samma stuga igen!

Zeer behulpzame gastheer. Ruime woning van alle luxe voorzien met als hoogtepunt de jacuzzi. We kunnen geen negatieve dingen bedenken.

Erstklassiges Haus - top eingerichtet! Kommunikation mit Hausbesitzer schnell und unkompliziert. Sehr gute Ausgangslage für Tagestrips. Aber das Beste ist der Whirlpool, den wir jeden Abend unter Sternenhimmel genießen durften!

Hervorragende Lage im Golden Circle
Wir haben bis heute noch kein Ferienhaus gemietet, welches so gut ausgestattet war. Von Toilettenpapier, Haushaltsrolle über Gewürze, Kaffeefilter bis hin zu Töpfe, Pfannen, Backformen, Alufolie, Haushaltsfolie, scharfe Messer usw. Das Haus ist exakt so wie auf den Bildern dargestellt. Sitzgelegenheiten, Betten super! Etwas hellhörig vielleicht. Der Jacuzzi ist vermutlich immer schon auf Temperatur bei Anreise. Es gibt im Vorfeld eine sehr detaillierte, bebilderte Anfahrtsbeschreibung und ein ebenso gutes Handbuch für das Haus selber mit allen Anleitungen von Fernseher, DVD, Netflix über Waschmaschine bis hin zum Grill und Jacuzzi. In gut 20 Minuten kann man in Selfoss, Bruarfoss, Gulfoss oder Strokkur Geysir sein, nur 4 km ist der Kerið. Knapp eine Stunde von Reykjavik entfernt und sehr gut mit dem Leihwagen zu erreichen. Also Toplage um den Süden und den Golden Circle zu erkunden. Wir können das Haus zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Geschmackvolles Haus in verkehrgünstiger Umgebung
Wir haben uns in diesem geschmackvoll eingerichteten und komfortablen Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Den Whirlpool haben nicht nur unsere Kinder sehr genossen.
