Family friendly cabin with an exclusive view of a waterfall on the Okatoma River

At the heart of Seminary, MS you can enjoy an exclusive view of one of the largest waterfalls on the river. Located on the banks of the Okatoma River this cabin boast views of the most popular river in MS. You will enjoy two spacious bedrooms and a huge loft that can sleep 4. Central air/heat with an optional wood stove for that true cabin experience! Washer and Dryer available. Spacious front porch with rocking chairs and a swing that overlooks the waterfall. Activities include walking trails, swimming, fishing.

Pet fee covers maximum of 2 pets. Additional pets are an additional $20 per pet. Early check in or late check out are an additional $50.00

Cabin trip

The cabin was absolutely amazing. We had a decent size group down for kayaking, fishing, and lounging. Very spacious, clean, and a good view. Highly recommended to anyone.

Peace and nature!

Even though it rained and the waterfall and Okatoma turned into raging rapids, the stay was great! We explored some trails, spotted about 5 deer and gathered kindling! There was plenty of firewood and we cooked in the pit! We sat on the porch until late listening to the raging river and the rain! It was peaceful and full of nature. A needed getaway from work but just an hour away!

This is our 3rd year coming to the cabin and the only complaint we had is NEXT YEAR WE NEED TO STAY 1 WEEK, everyone hates to leave and it is never long enough.

Great spot

This house is beautiful, clean and comfortable with the most amazing view of the river. There is wonderful woods with trails to explore. My puppy loved the walks in the woods. We will most definitely rent again in the summer. Thank you for a wonderful birthday weekend.

Unplugged Family Fun

Perfectly Relaxing Happy Place

The property was a perfect place to get away, clear our heads and just enjoy the family. The waterfall rushing in the background was so relaxing. Trails around the property were great for exploring the outdoors. The fire pit was perfect for our nightly fires and smores. The cabin itself was wonderful with rustic decor but very clean and comfortable for a group. Everyone enjoyed the trip and we all hope to go back again one day soon.

My stay at the cabin near Okatoma Creek was truly rejuvenating. The sound of the nearby waterfall was soothing and added to the serene atmosphere. Mornings on the porch, sipping coffee in the peaceful solitude, were the highlight of my trip. The property is quiet and offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Highly recommend it for anyone seeking relaxation and a connection with nature.

Heaven

Beautiful location, amenities can't be beat. Host is so responsive and easy to talk to. Folks in the town of Seminary are friendly and kind. Great local places eat....but also have all you need to cook a great meal right there at the cabin while listening to the water flowing by.....just perfect. Can't wait to come back.

Best view in Covington County

This was out second time staying here. It was the perfect place to celebrate our grandson’s 4th birthday. The house has plenty of space outdoors to gather even if it is raining. The deck is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail. We always enjoy watching the kayakers and people in canoes go over the falls. Inside is very comfortable with well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. We will definitely be back.

Needed getaway

Took a while to find the gate’s access keypad, but once found the place was a dream, from the murmuring stream to how glimmering clean everything was. Now that we’re leaving, we feel so sad. Perhaps we can come back in late summer. Thanks.

What a magical location

We were hoping to get away from the cold and saw so many great reviews this was an easy choice. Best decision ever. The waterfall sounds are so pleasant. And at night the stars are so bright. Everything about the cabin adds to the experience. Beds are comfortable, nice appliances, comfortable seating outside and inside. And an added bonus, the temps were in the 70s and 80s. Didn’t want to leave. Spent a day in Biloxi, one in Hattiesburg and another in Laurel. So nice to have this beautiful location to come back to!

PERFECT Hide-A-Way for ANY Get-A-Way!

My friend and I brought our children to WCU for a Honor Band Performance and found this cabin "by chance" on VRBO. This property is nothing short of perfect if you love being in the outdoors, quiet, and relaxing! There is a great fire pit for night time and plenty of "exploring" you can do on the property during the day time. The rooms are spacious and a large loft upstairs so plenty of room for everyone! Sitting on the porch, listening to the water, and drinking a cup of coffee is where we (adults) spent most of our time and since we've been home, we are already looking at possible dates to go back! We checked in late on our first night and our kids were having an issue with the WiFi. I emailed the owners and they immediately responded and fixed the issue (user issue on my kids side - ha!) Five starts is not a high enough rating for this cabin!!!

Okatoma Kayak 25

Best spot on the river. The cabin is wonderful and stocked for cooking or grilling. Piggly Wiggly is a short drive north. The only thing that would make the cabin perfect is a TV in the other bedroom.

Another Okatoma Family Fun Weekend

This was our third summer family gathering at Fairchild Landing, and it was great again! The water was up a bit, but that didn’t spoil the fun. The place is super clean and has a great firepit for s’mores! It’s also close enough to Hattiesburg for a run to The Lucky Rabbit. We shall return!

Perfect Getaway

We had the pleasure of ringing in the new year at the cabin and our week has been so relaxing. This is the perfect place to unwind and take a break from "real life." The creek was roaring when we arrived, following last week's storms, and it was neat to see it slow over the next few days and bubble at the rocks on the falls. The owners (along with contributions from previous guests) ensure that you have everything you need, sans food, for a comfortable stay. We will absolutely be back in the future!
