Charming Cottage in Stunning Waterfront Setting

The Cottage at Washington Harbor is on a natural saltwater lagoon adjoining the Straits of Juan De Fuca about 2.5 miles east of Sequim. Located on a 190 acre private wildlife refuge, a paradise for bird watchers, kayakers and nature lover's. Last house on a dead end road means a quiet and peaceful stay. Minutes from shopping in Sequim and unlimited outdoor activities in Olympic National Park and the Olympic Discovery Trail. The Cottage looks out over the lagoon, the Straits, Protection Island and Mount Baker. Seals, otter, Great Blue Herons and more all outside your front door. One of the most unique settings on the Olympic Peninsula.

Fabulous property

This home and property are fantastic. Private setting yet close to town with all the comforts of home. Our dog loved the freedom to get some exercise. Views unbeatable, great dog park just down the road, discovery trail very close. Wife and I have decided to make this a regular get away!!

Quiet, peaceful, dog friendly

Perfect place for a quiet retreat. The house is perches on a sloped vast yard that gave our dog lots of freedom to stretch his legs. An attached solarium is a great place to soak in the view when it is chilly out. Beautiful sunrise and sunset. Easy checkin with host. Great access to town and coastline. Wish we had the foresight to plan for a longer stay

A Peaceful Stay in a Lovely Sanctuary

We’ve been pleased with our previous stays here, and were glad to enjoy another wonderful time at this beautiful location. The house is spotless and has all the amenities we desire. Secluded Lagoon

We are so impressed with the cottage and the secluded lagoon that is full of great birds. We watched a pair of eagles, herons, kingfisher and so many others.

Your Own Private Paradise

The location is magical----isolated yet close to town. The nature preserve has a constantly changing view the wildlife there. And the cottage is everything you hope your vacation home would be----it's beautiful and well equipped.

Charming Cottage Review

This was our second stay and the second visit and it did not disappoint. Our goal was to kick back and just relax. That is exactly what we did. We enjoyed the beautiful view and abundant wildlife. The house was perfect for us; cozy and comfy. The nearby town of Sequim has all the amenities needed for a fulfilling vacation.

Exceptional cottage in magical setting

This was the second time we stayed at this wonderful place. The cottage itself is so comfortable with everything you can possibly need. Extremely clean. Cozy sanctuary

The cottage is well appointed and immaculate, and the natural setting is stunning. From the cozy sunroom we loved watching as the light and colors slowly changed throughout the day across the peaceful bay. Fantastic!

This is a very special location. Quiet and beautiful with easy access to walking along the beach. We enjoyed the wild life and bird watching from the sun room. The cottage is cozy and fully equipped. We love to cook and found the kitchen to be well appointed. It had everything we needed! The beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. Deborah was a great host checking in and responding quickly to our questions. A perfect getaway!

We totally enjoyed this property . . . Debbie was wonderful and very helpful. Loved watching the tide come and go in the lagoon, and the sounds of the birds were fabulous. Slice of Paradise

The Cottage exceeded our expectations in every way! Water, water, water stretches for as far as the eye can see. Beautiful secluded, well-kept grounds with a marsh, relatively level green lawn to the water’s edge (rare in Sequim), and trees that attract eagles and other wildlife. The Cottage had everything we could want – squeaky clean, comfortable, very nice accessories, and accessible. Even an electrical outlet to charge our EV car! Had a blast at Happy Valley Alpaca Ranch. Don’t miss the Olympic Game Farm – a once in a lifetime experience. Love Alder Wood Bistro and Gabby’s bread pudding for breakfast. The host is superb with excellent communications who really cares.

Great place with a beautiful view!

I had a nice getaway at this house with just me and my dog. The view is gorgeous and the area is private. The house is well appointed with everything that you would need, except maybe a couple ice cube trays would be handy. Even the sheets were so comfortable that I checked the tag for the brand and already ordered some for myself. Deborah is very speedy with replying to emails. I would come back for another stay.

The Perfect Cozy Getaway: Birds, Lights, and a Lot of Fun!

10/10! My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at this charming cottage. Bird watching from the sunroom was a highlight, and we highly recommend it for a relaxing experience. The cottage was the perfect size for the two of us and had everything we needed to prepare light meals for the weekend. There were also a collection of games to keep us entertained. The town had so much to offer in early December, including a festive tractor light parade(yes, you read that right), a holiday craft bazaar, and numerous light displays. We especially recommend visiting the holiday light display near the casino—it was stunning. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this rental to our friends!

Peaceful & relaxing

Kitchen well equipped with condiments, spices - impressive. Bathroom had shampoo and conditioner. I appreciated the builtin bars to hang onto getting in and out of. shower. Large deck with flowers. Sunroom is so relaxing looking out at the lagoon. Binoculars thoughtfully provided for bird watching. Would definitely stay here again. *****+

Nourishing, Peaceful Space

This lovely little home is set right on the tidal marsh lands. Ducks, gulls, tiny birds and immature bald eagles, hummingbirds (right outside our windows) visited us. It is peaceful and spectacular. Quiet except for the bird calls. The clean home is cozy, the beds extremely comfortable, and the kitchen is stocked with quality cookware. The enclosed area for watching the birds was absolutely perfect. Great hikes in the Dungeness Nature Reserve, Marymere Waterfall, Crescent Lake. A magical place, even with the rain and overcast skies.

Perfect stay

The cottage and setting were absolutely perfect. The location was convenient for our eastern Olympic National Park visit. We were delighted with several Sequim restaurants that are quite close. The cottage was immaculate. The location is on a quiet dead end street and allows you to enjoy nature all around. The beautiful flowers on the deck provided a frequent stop for many hummingbirds each day. We sat on the porch each day and watched the area birds including a bald eagle. Our only regret is we did not book the location longer. We will be back again. Thank you.
