“Hygge” (hue-guh) is Danish for the feeling of cozy, charming and special, and that’s just the experience we hope our home evokes.

The cabin sits on the edge of Pigeon Forge (West), just a five minute drive from all the action. The national park is just a short and easy 15 minute drive, and Gatlinburg 20min. Go the scenic way, bypassing traffic, to Great Smoky Mountain National Park via Wears Valley and Townsend.

Home is located in a private, and peaceful natural setting. Home also has excellent wifi, at 400mbps, and is perfect for remote work!

✔ Level 1 - Open layout with kitchen, dining, and cozy comfortable family room - leading to walk out front lower balcony. Bluetooth speaker and smart tv. Half bath and laundry closet with washer & dryer is on this main level. Fireplace on the main level is electric. Couch in the main level “game room” in front of the house is a pull out double bed with memory foam mattress. Gaming table and Roku TV. Game room french doors provide optional privacy for sleeper sofa.

✔ Level 2 - Two cozy bedroom suites upstairs each with their own modern, fully equipped bathroom. Bedroom #1 has a King bed and private balcony with two rocking chairs and the Bedroom #2 has a Queen bed with sunroom and two twin beds.

We have a private and beautiful setting with smoke free gas firepit, party lights, Adirondack chairs, 6 person hot tub and picnic table on deck make for a wonderful outdoor gathering place after a long day of adventure.

Great stay!

The house was perfect for our weekend stay during the Jeep Invasion. The location made it easy to get to the strip, but it was quiet and relaxing too. We used the grill and kitchen (which was well stocked). The beds were comfortable and the layout gave all of us space. I highly recommend Britt and Alex's home!

Cozy and conveniently located

The chalet is cozy and comfortable for a family with three children. The location is convenient to restaurants, shopping and attractions. The interior stairs are somewhat steep, and the view in summertime is fully wooded, but secluded from neighbors. Overall, a nice little chalet.

Wonderful Stay!

The property was amazing. The house is charming and fully stocked with everything you can think of. The location is perfect as it was not to far from the main road but far enough where you feel hidden away in the mountains. Alex and Britt were great, they were responsive if I had a question and kind as well. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. We will be back one day and hope we can stay here again.

Excellent Location!

We absolutely loved staying here. The property was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location was fantastic. It’s only a few miles from the hustle and bustle of The Island at Pigeon Forge, but you still have that quiet private secluded setting. We got in the hot tub almost nightly and used the party lights above the deck to have that fun atmosphere. The hosts were amazing and responded quickly to any questions we had. We would not hesitate to stay here again!!

We loved how accurate the pictures of the listing were! This was such a cute chalet to spend our 10 year anniversary in. Far enough from the city that it's peaceful (so much so that there were deer in the driveway) yet still so close that we Doordashed a few dinners! This was a great home away from home and awesome experience. We also greatly appreciated coming straight to the home and having an access code instead of having to check in/out at an office.

Perfect Mountain Getaway at the Blue Chalet

Last time we came we rented a cabin 40 minutes from town and we loved it but a total pain to come into town and eat, shop or see the attractions. I had specific things in mind when booking this time. Close to town but feel like we are in the mountains. And this hit everything for us. The cabin is comfy and adorable. We wanted for nothing and had no problems. The easiest check in/check out I’ve ever done. If you do a pink Jeep tour ask for Michael he was the best! If you want to see a bear go to Roaring Fork early am or right before dusk. We saw 2! Memorable stay. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Girlfriend’s Getaway

I stayed five nights at Hygge Blue Chalet with four ladies who were my college classmates. The chalet was much smaller than expected. The photos in the vrbo listing must have been taken quite some time ago before it was ever occupied by guests, and taken using a wide angle camera lens because it was very “cozy” for five adults even though the unit sleeps eight. The location is excellent and the unit was very clean, but we encountered several routine maintenance issues during our stay. One great source of frustration was how extremely difficult it was to operate the TV’s.
