We had an amazing time in this brand new cabin minutes from the Smoky Mountain Welcome Center. From the time we pulled into the convenient drive we felt welcome and at home. We were welcomed with the beautifully lit stairway leading up to the deck, followed by the fresh cedar smells when we walked into the door. We were excited about the cabin having a ping ping table since we play often at home, however the table was already set up to play pool and we decided to leave it and try something new- we played every night. The sauna and hot tub were amazing to come home to after a couple long rounds of golf. We didn’t see a single bear until our final moments loading up the car. A mama bear happened to be exploring the neighbor’s car with her cubs. We appreciated the reminder before arrival to keep food out of our cars and always lock the doors so the bears don’t open them. We golfed Gatlinburg Golf Club (10 minute drive) and fished near the Apple Cider Mill. We took in breathtaking views of the park and hiked Cataract Falls twice, returning after a heavy rainfall.The cabin is designed beautifully and there are so many thoughtful amenities making it tough to leave it each day. We appreciated the Kcups, the steamer and even played a bit of the PlayStation.
