The Road to Mahant Retreat is paved, two-lane roads. Upon turning off Black Bear Way onto Spotted Fawn Way, the road narrows but allows for passing. The final stretch leading to the cabin transitions to packed gravel.
The cabin's driveway, paved with concrete, comfortably accommodates one vehicle. Guests arriving should approach the quick dip in the road off Black Bear Way with CAUTION, particularly those driving low-slung vehicles or motorcycles.

Additional notes to consider:

Travel Insurance Advised: We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your trip, as refunds will not be provided for circumstances beyond our control, such as weather events, natural disasters, power outages, personal matters, or other unforeseen occurrences.

Hot Tub Regulations: The hot tub is available for guests aged 21 and over. Alcohol is strictly prohibited near the hot tub. Guests are not allowed to use the hot tub if they have consumed alcohol or are pregnant. Children can only use the hot tub when accompanied by a parent or guardian and must be supervised at all times. Use of the hot tub is at your own risk.

Fire Pit Usage: Depending on local laws and any imposed burn bans by the local government, the outdoor fire pit may be closed. This is a standard practice in the area.

Pet Policy: We understand that some guests may have allergies or sensitivities to pet dander, fur, or other allergens. By maintaining a pet-free environment, we aim to accommodate the needs of all our guests and provide a clean and comfortable space for everyone. Pets, including emotional support animals, are not permitted. Guests will be charged a fee of $500 if they bring a pet.

Check-Out Policy: There is no provision for late check-out or early check-in. Guests must vacate the property by 10 AM on their scheduled departure day. Failure to do so will result in fees of $50.00 for the first half-hour and $100.00 for each subsequent half-hour that the guest remains on the property.

Starter Sets Provided: Our cleaners offer starter sets of single-use toiletries such as shampoo and bar soap, as well as cleaning supplies like sponges, dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent, paper towels, liquid dish soap, and toilet paper. Depending on the length of your stay, you may want to bring extra supplies.

Firewood and Charcoal: We do not provide firewood for the fire pit or charcoal for the grill. These items can be purchased at nearby locations. We recommend bringing fire starter logs for convenience.

Seasonal Pest Notice: During the fall and winter months, Ladybugs, Stink Bugs, and Palmetto Bugs may be prevalent in the area. While our cabin undergoes regular pest control and professional cleaning before and after each stay, these bugs are attracted to warmth and may be present in and around the cabin. Unfortunately, there is little that can be done until the season passes.

Exterior Surveillance Camera: A surveillance camera is positioned only outside the cabin, excluding the hot tub area. This camera is in place to monitor the exterior surroundings for security purposes only.
Privacy Protection: Please rest assured that there are no recording devices inside the cabin or the hot tub area. Your privacy is of utmost importance to us, and we respect your personal space.
Security Intent: The recording device is solely used to enhance the security and safety of our guests and the property. It is not used for any other purpose.
Guest Acknowledgment: By booking this listing, you acknowledge and consent to the presence of the exterior surveillance camera, excluding the hot tub area and inside cabin, as described above
