The place was fantastic in everyway. The views and seeing the mountains smoke was something the family will never forget. We have put this down as one of the best times and memories for a life time!!!!!
This cabin was perfect. It had a wonderful view of the Great Smoky Mountains. The hot tub and indoor pool was great to have after a long day of sightseeing in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The kitchen was spacious and allowed for us to cook big meals for our group without much hassle. This cabin is absolutely wonderful and definitely I will definitely recommend this to others.
This house is the perfect place for 5 couples spending a long weekend together. Gorgeous views. Very comfortable home with plenty of amenities. We all recommend this home!!
Our Stay was wonderful!Enough room for everyone to be all together or in their own quiet place. The pool was fabulous.Communication with Sara was with in min.
We’ve been coming to pigeon Forge for many years to spend time with our children and their families. This met all of our needs it was beautiful and so easy to relax in. Thank you so much.
Our family had a wonderful stay at this cabin! We enjoyed the beautiful mountain scenery including the sightings of bears! The pool, hot tub, and making smores each night around the fire pit was also a big hit for everyone. This property is well maintained and was very clean when we arrived. We plan to rent this cabin again!
We brought our children and their expanding families for a trip and enjoyed our time together in such a beautiful location with all the special things this property had to offer. Everyone had plenty of space and we were able to come together in the common areas to enjoy each others company.
The property was everything that was advertised and more! The house was clean, spacious, perfect for our group of 10. Would absolutely recommend and book again.
This house was beautiful. Great views, everything was in working ordered, large flat driveway for cars, and the pool is amazing. Ps their is a keurig and a propane grill even though the don't have it listed.
We all loved everything about this cabin!!! Such a beautiful place and spot. The pool was amazing, the layout was perfect!!!!! The whole trip was absolutely amazing thanks to this beautiful cabin! Our only concern: the driveway has a few spots that are raised up and someone almost tripped on it. Maybe a good idea would be to paint the high spots with some high visibility paint!!! But everything was so wonderful!!!!! Thank you so much!
This year we chose a mountain trip for our "Pages" Bookclub weekend retreat. This gorgeous property did not disappoint. We were a ladies' group of fourteen. The cabin was spacious, comfortable and well maintained. The views were breathtaking! We enjoyed the accommodations and the surrounding areas. We would definitely recommend Northstar Mountain View Lodge as an amazing vacation getaway.

Beautiful pool and great living room and eating spaces for big groups to be together. Bathrooms are dark and could be nicer. There is no counter space to set anything down and floors seem unfinished around tubs. Two of the beds had a huge massive bend in the mattress that we found had broken boards under the bed upon cleaning to leave. The views are stunning. Nice place that we really enjoyed.
We really enjoyed our stay. Upon checkin, we walked about admiring the beauty inside and outside. Sometimes, we just hung out at the lodge and other days we hiked (Clingman's Dome), did Dollywood which was really nice, shopped the Island and other place. I had my wife, two sons and their wives, 6 grandkids and a grand's girl friend. All had a great time. Pool, hot tub and fire pit were attractions. Finally, we saw a large black bear, chipmunks, eagles, rabbits and more around the house.
We have been to Tennessee as a family one other time, 6 years ago and stayed at a similar vacation rental. But, when we walked in the front door and immediately saw the amazing view, we decided right then to try to extend our stay by one day! I messaged the property management and requested an extension and they answered me right away and said that would be great! It was so easy and so worth it! We had an amazing time! The kids especially loved the pool :)
The views from this lodge are nothing short of AMAZING! Being outside was just as enjoyable as being inside this property. The rooms were spacious, having two staircases was brilliant too. There was plenty of refrigerator space and having two ovens and a gas grill was fantastic! We did have a large bear walk alongside the deck outside of the kitchen while reading outside…quite a surprise!
Having the lower level all pool space was super special, something we’ve never experienced before and it was a hit with the children and adults alike! Everyone had nothing but good things to say about this property. It was steep getting up to the lodge but we had no problem making it up. It was also in a decent proximity to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Thank you for the lovely stay!
I rented NorthStar for my 60th birthday. We wanted a place where my extended family could join us and have the space to relax without being on top of each other. This house definitely fit the bill. There was plenty of room for all 11 of us. Having 2 refrigerators and 2 ovens/cooktops was perfect for the breakfasts and dinners we prepared. The view was incredible. Most of the family agreed that we had a better view than most anywhere else. We also had a few bears visit, so that was exciting. The only problem we had was the televisions in the bedrooms were no longer connected to cable, just to be used to stream. Unfortunately the remotes were from the cable box, so the televisions in the bedrooms weren’t able to be used. Upon notifying the management company, they looked into the problem and sent out new remotes. All in all, that was not a big deal, or enough to disappoint any of us.Thanks for a beautiful house, and an amazing place to make memories with my family for my 60th birthday!!
This home is both gorgeous and spacious! The views are amazing. We had our entire family of 15, eight adults and seven grandchildren (ages 6 -15) and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The pool was great, and it was used often. The house description was slightly inaccurate as there was no TV in the swimming pool room, but honestly the kids did not miss it. We had some epic card games and family billiard tournaments that the GK's loved! We had no issues and the one item that was missing that we requested at 7:45 pm one evening was delivered by 9pm...an amazing response. The kitchen space was great for our large group although it could use a few more frying pans. The check-in and check-out processes were seamless, and neither were burdensome. Everyone in our group agreed this was a great house set in a beautiful location!
The best thing about the whole house was the fantastic views and the back deck off the kitchen. I cannot put into words the amazing views. The swimming pool area as well as the pool table were the highlights for the kids.
Take AA and AAA batteries, most remotes didn't work. TV in swimming pool room doesn't work. There are not really any incidentals except for towels and sheets, pots and pans. So make sure to bring anything and everything else you will need from shampoo, soap to salt & pepper. A bit more cleanup required at checkout then I am used to, but not a huge problem. This is my first house rental in the Smokey Mtn area, so things may be a bit different there.
The cabin is in a great location. It is close enough to Pigeon Forge to be convenient to area attractions, yet far enough away from the traffic to be peaceful. The views are the best feature of the cabin, and it is very enjoyable to relax on the porches and see the mountains! We appreciated the ample parking for our family of 20. The kids enjoyed the pool and the pool table!
While we spent days outside of the cabin enjoying local adventures, we did cook breakfast and evening meals at the cabin. For a large group, the extra refrigerator and dishwasher were convenient. The ovens don't seem to cook to temperature, and baking times need to be accommodated. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes (plates, cups, utensils); however, large pots/skillets, baking sheets, etc. for cooking for a large group are in short supply.
There was more cleanup requested at this property than expected and more than at other rentals we have experienced. Plan for more time than you think to accommodate this at checkout.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and the property is a nice choice for a large group!

Beautiful house but....
Our stay had both highlights and drawbacks. The cabin was beautiful and the location was perfect—GPS led us straight there, and we had no issues getting up the hill in our school bus.Unfortunately, we ran into some issues. Despite reaching out to management and saying they could send someone to fix them, no one ever came. The kitchen was a big concern for our group of 23. One stove burner didn’t work, and the other didn’t heat properly. The oven wouldn't hold temp. If you plan to use the dishwasher, bring your own pods—the provided ones didn’t work well. We found dirty dishes in the cabinets, no teaspoons, and not enough utensils. The pots and pans were low quality with black residue—we had to wash everything. The cabin was clean overall and the beds were comfortable, but there were spiderwebs and tunnels inside every window. Students killed several spiders and cleaned the webs. The front door wasn’t secure—it could be pushed open even when locked, which was unsettling with bears in the area. Also, a lower-level toilet leaked throughout our stay.On the positive side, the views were stunning. The pool, hot tub, and fire pit were amazing and made for great group moments.
This home is gorgeous! The view is amazing. We had a group of 13 (ages 5 - 67) and everyone enjoyed themselves. The pool was a great addition to this location. The water was cool but the room is heated well. The adults and kids all enjoyed it, as well as, the outdoor hot tub and fire pit.
We really had no issues other than heating/cooling such a widely open space, which is understandably difficult. Some said it was warm in their rooms while others said it was too cool so you may have to adjust and re-adjust, as needed based on personal preference.
The kitchen space is a good one for large groups. There were two of each - ovens, dish washers and refrigerators, making meal time so pleasant. There are also two large dinner tables with benches where we ate together, played board games and put together a large puzzle.
One thing noted that was different than the pictures I saw, is the theater room. It has two sofas and two chaise lounges versus theater seating style chairs which was no issue for us but just something to note.
In our check-in email, we were instructed that at check out you must load dishwasher, dry and put away all dishes before leaving but the final email I received the night before we left said we only had to load dishwasher so that’s what we did.
For us, this was a great spot and hope to return again soon!
It was a vacation filled with happy memories. The house was spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect for activities for all the different ages.
