— WHAT WE PROVIDE — ・high-quality bedding ・bath towels & washcloths ・hand towels & make-up towels ・bath mats ・blankets/comforters
We provide a small set of starter supplies to get you going — toiletries, paper goods, dish soap, laundry detergent, and trash bags. A discount store is nearby for restocking, or use a local grocery delivery service (details in your guidebook) to have the cabin stocked before you arrive.
We don't provide wood for the fire pit. It can be purchased in bundles at many locations throughout the area. Do not cut down our trees or break off branches, though feel free to use anything already on the ground.
⏤ YOUR SAFETY MATTERS ⏤ ・Smoke detectors ・CO2 detector(s) ・Fire extinguisher(s) ・Current permits and registrations
Note: there is a variety of wildlife in the area. Never approach, feed, or attempt to attract any animals.
⏤ ENHANCED CLEANING ⏤ Our housekeeping partner has always had a strict cleaning regimen that is performed after every guest stay. That is designed to increase protections for our guests and our team members. Our reviews verify that we provide a clean cabin!
・Hot Tub: Drained, cleaned/sanitized, and refilled after every guest; fresh Bromine added.
・Linens: laundered and processed in a commercial facility with temperatures that exceed those recommended for laundry operations; disinfectant added as appropriate; dried at recommended temperatures; and, packaged until put out for guests.
・We are inspected and licensed by Sevier County Fire Department.
・Being so close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, we do occasionally get bears, bobcats, coyotes, wild turkeys, bats, snakes, scorpions, lizards, and other wildlife throughout the area, as does most of the region. Pay heed to all warnings and *NEVER* approach any wild animal.
・Our proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park also brings exposure to a wide variety of insects and other critters. While we are on a comprehensive pest control regimen, we are limited in the use of some preventative measures by our location. Lady bugs are a common issue. They are harmless and considered a "beneficial species". We also see quite a few Asian beetles, which are similar to Lady bugs. As a result, you may encounter occasional insects or similar creatures in and around the cabin.

Mountain Air sits at the end of a private gravel road that winds through the hills and woods and may be considered steep in areas — it's part of what makes the seclusion real. AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended year-round; low-clearance vehicles, trailers, and motorcycles are not suitable. Search #mountainair37862 to watch a drive-in video before booking — we want you to arrive confident, not surprised nor anxious.
Mountain Air's own driveway is a mix of gravel and dirt, but is generally well-maintained. We have parking for 2-3 vehicles, depending on size. Turning around involves a 3-point turn or more, again depending on vehicle size.
Please remember you will be staying in the mountains and mountain roads can be tough at times, especially if you are not used to driving in the mountains. We cannot and do not guarantee any road surface conditions, especially during Winter. Most public roads are well maintained but can be winding, steep, and/or bumpy. It is not unusual to have roadways blocked or damaged by downed trees, especially after rain/snow or high winds. You are responsible for your own transportation. We cannot provide any transportation for guests. Weather conditions can be very unpredictable, and it is your responsibility to come fully prepared. We do not refund due to weather, road conditions, or the location of the property on the mountain. If you have any doubts at all, we encourage a Travel Insurance policy.

Communication and preparation by Chuck (owner) was fantastic. We had all of the information we needed and had a great stay. The beds are very comfortable and the cabin is relaxing, secluded, and extremely quiet and way from everything just like we wanted.
Love the secluded area of the cabin. The road going in was no problem for me but anyone in a low car needs to be aware it is a little rough. But perfect for me & my family. The owner made sure everything is perfect and there was no issues at all during our stay.
If you’re looking for a place where you look out the windows and see mountains instead of the next cabin this is the one. Our hosts was wonderful, the cabin and location was amazingly wonderful.
We've been coming to Pigeon Forge for almoat 15 years, and this was the most secluded and private cabin we've stayed in, and we were so happy with that feature. A 4WD vehicle is a must for this one, and our Durago was a champ. You wont have "scenic" views here, but you will have peace and quiet and no neighbors. The property was spotless, inside and out. We saw no spiderwebs/cobwebs, there was no musty smell. Fireplaces, hot tub, Internet and all appliances worked well. We enjoyed the shops and restaurants at the main road. This was just beautiful in November, but glad we got out before the snow. This will be a stunning property in spring with the wild rhodedendrum on the mountainside. Take a screenshot of the door lock code before arriving. Be mindful of all wildlife and livestock. We would stay here again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mountain Air. The property is gorgeous and Gatlinburg was so much fun! Definitely recommend staying at this property. The hot tub was the highlight of the trip!
We loved our stay here! Everything was as expected! Very clean, peaceful, and beautiful! The hosts were very polite and easily available to talk to! No disappointments and will definitely book again!
Had an amazing time at the beauty cabin. Very secluded but close to everything. Road to cabin can be rough but no big deal. I want to go back again with whole family.
Really enjoyed the cabin stay. Was very nice ,clean and everything I’d hope for. Admittedly, the road to the cabin left a little to be desired but we had a good vehicle to navigate it in. But all in all we really enjoyed our stay
Great place to stay. Quiet and secluded. The house was clean and had everything needed to enjoy our time away. The drive to the property was scenic and beautiful. There were so many beautiful views and hikes.
The owner was so easy to get in touch with regarding questions and ease of communication is huge for me! The hot tub was perfection. The beds were comfy. The cabin was perfect size for our family of 4.
Fantastic property. Hot tub and jetted tub were great after a long day. Trips to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Cherokee, NC. Very clean property with beautiful, secluded area. Owners were great on checking in and providing the information for tge property through touchstay.
Loved how secluded and quiet this cabin was! The porches were great with a swing and rocking chairs and jacuzzi. Master had a comfortable bed. The creek was cute too, but there were fallen trees that made it a little hard to reach. The roads getting there were a little rough, need a 4 wheel drive. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again! The hosts were very accommodating and allowed us to make a change to the reservation as well as late checkout, which we appreciated.
I work a very stressful job and needed some time away. Mountain Air was perfect, so peaceful and quiet. Cabin was very well taken care of and the hot tub was so relaxing. Definitely enjoyed our time away. Highly recommend a 4 week drive for the road to the cabin.
This cabin is very nice & has all the things- fire pit w/ seating, 2 gas fire places, swing, hot tub, whirlpool tub, dishes & coffee pot/keurig. The master bed is super comfy & sleeps good! I would suggest you have a vehicle with 4WD to maneuver the road to the cabin in rain/snow.
The property itself was good. Very remote, quiet and relaxing.

A perfect stay
Mountain Air is really secluded as described. We found it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Chuck and Vicki were wonderful hosts and the cabin was perfect for us.
We throughly enjoyed our stay at Mountain Aire! Shortly after arriving we were welcomed by a mama bear and 2 cubs on the front porch!! The cabin was clean, the bed was comfy and the 2 fireplaces kept us nice and toasty. We enjoyed using the fire pit and hot tub! Beautiful surroundings!!

Loved our stay
The cabin is exactly what we wanted. Nobody around and just peace, quiet, nature, and a great hot tub. Thanks to Chuck for being a good host!
We had an amazing stay! The location was absolutely perfect for us—peaceful, secluded, and exactly the kind of quiet retreat we were looking for. The cabin was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. We especially appreciated the comfy bed and the overall sense of calm throughout the space. One unexpected and incredible bonus: we saw a big black bear walking up the creek bed behind the cabin! It was such a memorable experience and made us feel truly connected to the natural surroundings.Communication with the hosts was seamless—they were friendly, responsive, and made everything easy from start to finish. The guidebook they provided was incredibly helpful, covering everything we needed to know (and more!) to enjoy our stay comfortably and confidently. All in all, it was a peaceful, wonderful getaway, and we’re already hoping to return.
