They have got to get a bear proof garbage container. I am shocked that this isn't some sort of law for rentals in the smokies. Our first night we were not there more than an hour. My husband went to the car and ran into a very large bear. He came right to the porch and grabbed the garbage container looking for food, so he is very familiar with food being left. The next day we did stop by the Cabins for you office and let them know our concerns about the garbage situation. They said they would come by and pick up on Friday, no one showed up. IF YOU RENT THIS CABIN, PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR TRASH ON THE DECK, YOU ARE KILLING A BEAR!
