Very clean and well kept cabin! The views were absolutely amazing and have far surpassed any views I’ve ever had from a cabin in the Smokies. The drive is very steep as I was prepared for based on the other reviews, my Toyota rav4 made it to the top without a problem. We did ask about propane ahead of the stay and were told there’s no way for the host to know how much was in the tank but guests usually buy a refill at the gas station about ten min away. Of course, we checked the bottle when we got there and it was out, a little frustrating and inconvenient, BUT the pros of this cabin outweighed all of that. We enjoyed our stay!

The cabin is super cozy! Its very well taken care of and was super clean. The driveway seemed a bit sketchy going up the first time, but it was worth it. Highly recommend AWD or 4x4 to access.

The cabin was great!!! Also we had guest. Moma bear and 3 cubs on the balcony walking around. Highly recommend this cabin. Also excellent view.

This cabin is a couples dream getaway. Beautiful views, wood burning fireplace, hot tub, and comfy bed!! Oh and a 2 headed shower! Talkin about rednecks dream ahhh!! Cabin was very clean and stocked! 10/10 recommend!

Wonderful cabin

We throughly enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The view was stunning and the cabin itself was wonderful. My only issue was that the listing itself did not do justice to the incline of the road leading to the cabin. It was a little scary driving up there but other than that the cabin was exceptional.

Perfect getaway for 2!

Don’t let the road up scare you, a few times up and down then it’s a breeze! We arrived and the code didn’t work, we called Lee and within seconds we were in! Loved the cozy cabin and that view is to die for! The hot tub on the deck was great after a long day of hiking. Perfect stay in the perfect location, thank you Lee for sharing your cabin with us!!!

Had a wonderful visit. Cabin was very nice and CLEAN wonderful view. The road in like everybody else has said it is very interesting. Had a couple of requests to be done before we arrived and they were done (thank you so much). Had a bear visit a couple of times even climbed up the hood and over the cab of the truck to look inside an empty cooler. Looking forward to our next visit.

The MOUNTAIN

Everything was great. Fantastic views, clean, little touches making you feel welcome. One downfall...the climb up the mountain is super steep and difficult to traverse. Just be prepared for that. Otherwise it's amazing!

Perfect long weekend getaway. The cabin was very clean. The hot tub was turned on so it warmed up by the time we arrived. The view is amazing! The drive up the mountain was a little scary at first, but got easier. Lee was very responsive when I asked for recommendations and even let us check in a couple hours early. If we travel back to TN again, we will definitely stay here if it’s available.

Great again for the 2nd time. Hot tub was better than last time. Fireplace grate was supposed to be fixed but was not, log on fire rolled out twice. We got a little visit from Melvin the Bear, 2 foot from my wife while in the hot tub. Scared him off. Will be there again next year.

The Eagle's Nest is the Best

Loved the views, the swing on the porch, the cabin overall. Would have loved to have a washer and dryer in cabin and the hot tub jets were not very strong, may need serviced. Was told there would be a bottle of wine but there was not however, that was fine. Overall, highly recommend this cabin and Lee the owner was helpful when our GPS told us the wrong cabin. Thanks, Lee!

Small things.

There were a couple small things, which I usually overlook, but they became a problem. The hot tub was dirty. We had to clean it ourselves just to get into it.The 2nd night, the smoke detectors went off just before 5am. It took is 45min to get them to stop. No one answered the 24/7 # that we were given to call. The place is so beautiful, and the view is nice, but these things took away from the reasons we were visiting in the first place.

Up, up, up and away!

The cabin is a perfect stay for two adults with a AWD OR 4WD vehicle. To get the great view, you have to go up a steep, one lane road. We had to put our old Jeep in 4 low to climb the road. Once there, you’ll reverse into the parking space. To leave, you’ll reverse down to a small spot that allows you to turn around. I write all these details to help prepare drivers. The cabin has a nice deck that is secured with a gate to prevent critters. The swing was a great place to relax and look at the view. Hot tub was clean and nice to have for our soar muscles at the end of the day. Inside, the kitchen was stocked with basic tools. If you plan on fixing many meals, bring any special kitchen equipment with you. Complementary wine and popcorn were a nice gesture. Owner was accommodating and pleasant. Over all a nice stay and we would book again.
