Overall the cabin is wonderful and the location is amazing. The house is huge, tastefully appointed, and fairly well stocked. The area (including the surrounding cabins) is truly beautiful and very scenic. The rental company was very communicative before, during, and after check-in (without being intrusive or annoying) - which was appreciated. We truly enjoyed taking time away from our routine to relax at this great property. There were some things that need improvement or could use some attention though. The cleaning could have been better. The shower in the main bedroom had mold on the floor, there was noticeable dust in some areas of the house, and there were no hangers in any of the closets. The house could definitely use some tech updates (i.e. outdated Samsung TVs). One of the bathrooms had garbage in the bin when we arrived, and the batteries in one of the smoke detectors located in the game room were almost dead (was beeping loudly right as we checked in) so we disconnected the batteries during our stay, but put them back before we left. These were the main but fairly minor issues that prevented us from giving our stay 5 stars.Regardless of the aforementioned minor oversights, the cabin and location were well worth the 12 hr drive from Florida. It’s a bummer that we didn’t get a chance to take advantage of the free tickets that were included, but that was our fault. Overall, we definitely recommend this place and would definitely stay there again in the future.
Comfortable, beautiful cabin in such a beautiful location. We enjoyed everything about it and especially the drive and surroundings. It was perfect for our family of 8.
