Cozy, beautifully furnished 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath mountain cabin, easily sleeps 8 people! All bedrooms have king size beds and plenty of closet space. You’ll feel relaxed and at home because we’ve provided everything you’ll need to enjoy your stay - fully equipped kitchen, gas grill, linens, etc. Walk across the yard to the community pool and fishing lake, or grab a sandwich at their deli restaurant!

Enjoy the stunning views of the mountains from the covered porch or the large front yard. Relax in the Hot Tub on the porch and take in the mountain sunsets. No treacherous mountain roads to navigate to get to Makin’ Memories, just pull into the long, flat driveway that has parking for up to three vehicles. This is a motorcycle friendly property that is super-easy access.

Enjoyed Mtn Retreat

We enjoyed our stay at Mountain Retreat. The cabin was very clean and well kept. The location in the valley was a great change to driving up steep gravel roads to get to a cabin. The lighting on the front and rear porches could be a little brighter and the grill was not as new as explained but those would be my only complaints, and they are not major issues. We would stay here again.

Front porch Heaven

Front porch sitting-grandsons loved the pool table, lake and swimming pool! Close to everything, gorgeous views! Well stocked kitchen too. Host is great!

Wonderful cabin stay!

The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated. The back porch overlooks a large greenspace, pool and the Smoky Mountains beyond. We enjoyed several mornings and evenings on the porch in this quiet place. Thankful to have created many good memories in such a beautiful location. Thank you!

Amazing family vacation

The cabin was amazing and close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The coffee shops near by are amazing and the food trucks were so yummy!! We haven’t had a vacation in a long time and it was so peaceful n relaxing at the cabin!! The hot tub was great and so was the pool across the yard!!

Great Cabin!

We had an amazing experience at Makin Memories. Joe was very informative and communicated with us throughout our trip to make sure things were going smoothly. The cabin is in a great location with the most beautiful views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying here again!

A Great Place To Stay

We loved our stay at Mountain Memories. It is a beautiful cabin and is well furnished. We had rain during our stay, but we enjoyed hanging out in the cabin or making the short trips to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, about 15 to 20 min to each. We would stay again. Thanks for making your cabin available.

A Dolly Jolly Family Christmas trip

We took our family to Dollywood for the Christmas festivities. We loved the house. It had enough bedrooms and bathrooms that each family unit had their own space. All needed supplies were provided. It was a lovely environment with lots of bears tucked here and there in the house. The grandkids loved finding them. Lots of games were provided. They got to feed the ducks in the nearby pond. Everything was well lit with a nice driveway to accommodate several cars. It was convenient to all the main attractions but yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle. We would definitely stay there again.

Mountain View’s and family time

My family loved our trip to the Makin’ Memories cabin! The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed for our week stay. The pool was great for the kids and we enjoyed ice cream at the pool in the evenings. We loved the big deck and played a few games of pool. It was easy to get to GSMNP, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Townsend. Joe was very helpful, informative, and responsive to any and all questions! We can’t wait to book another trip!

Perfect Location !!!

Everything was perfect. Kitchen was well stocked. Beds are comfy. Hot tub was delightful. Location could not have been better. Close to everything yet still peaceful and quiet. Views are amazing from the front porch. Joe was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Parking is ample and flat. Three trucks and four motorcycles and a trailer fit just fine with plenty of room to spare. No giant hills to climb or navigate. As motorcyclist's, it doesn't get any better than this location. 1.5 miles from the Foothills Parkway with a gas station at the off ramp. Looking forward to booking this place for next year. Great experience and would highly recommend. Two thumbs up !!!

Family Vacation

This was such a great place to stay! It has a beautiful view looking up into the mountains. It's in a peaceful area in Wears Valley but is easy to get to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Townsend, and the National Park. Grandma absolutely loved sitting on the porch, rocking and taking in the view. The cabin is beautiful and very clean. Access to the local pool was a great extra. The grill made for some nice evening meals which definitely saved money. The kitchen was wonderfully furnished and had all the dishes & utensils you could possibly need. We enjoyed family time around the fire pit every night. Everything was terrific! The owner, Joe, was very helpful and gave us some great tips for our stay. He even checked in with us to make sure everything was going well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. We hope to be able to stay there again. Maybe we'll bring the rest of the family and rent both cabins! Thanks, Joe, for sharing your space with us. It made for a memorable and special vacation!

Beautiful, cozy house with an incredible view

We stayed here over Christmas and it was exactly what we were looking for. It was close enough to everything we wanted to do but far enough to be able to avoid the tourist traffic. It took a little over 20 minutes to get into Pigeon Forge and about 45-50 for Gatlinburg - the route through the mountains was closed due to icy roads. The town was quaint and the view was breathtaking. The location on the bottom of a road was key. After a small snow, the rest of the road was inaccessible by vehicle and people had to live out of their cars, while trekking up the road by foot or UTV. Many neighboring roads were shut down, so there truly was one way in and one way out. It added to our adventure. The house was mostly as described. Some furniture was different than the pictures and the jacuzzi tub was not working. We had to buy special wood ($25/box) to burn in the fireplace. The master bedroom does not have an in suite bathroom but it's right across the hall, so no big deal. The TVs in the upstairs bedrooms only had one channel. This all didn't impact us much. There were PLENTY of appliances and kitchen supplies to use. There were endless amounts of blankets and I quickly understood why. The temps dropped so cold, it was difficult to keep the house warm, even with the fire going - but it's my understanding this was a problem throughout the houses in the area. The house was equipped with books, games, and DVDs should you get bored - but you won't. Joe was a great host and very easy to communicate with. He was quick to respond or answer the phone for any of our needs. Overall, I'd totally recommend this property!

You can't go wrong staying at Wear's Valley Mountain Retreat! Beautiful cabin with an amazing view of the Smokies from the back deck. The kitchen was well equipped. The cabin was very clean and the bathrooms were well supplied with towels. The kids enjoyed the pool and snack bar. Thanks to Joe for being an excellent host. He offered many tips and recommendations for places to visit in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We would absolutely stay here again if we were to travel to the area in the future.We loved our first trip to Tennessee!

We love this property. Joe was amazing for us. Pool is directly across from the cabin which is super convenient if you have kids. Would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place in Tennessee.

Relaxing spot with amazing views!

We stayed at Making Memories with our adult children and our granddaughter. The cabin was perfect for us! The location was great for visiting Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but allowed us to feel the tranquility of the valley. The views from the back porch were incredible both day and night. Communication with the property manager was great. I would definitely stay here again.
