"Gun-A-Love IT!" Lakefront getaway / retreat on Gun Lake

Welcome to our beautifully renovated home that offers 60ft of private frontage on all-sports Gun Lake at the south end in the quiet, Anchor Cove. Inside you will find an open concept floor plan that is excellent for entertaining, relaxing, and living those great family memories. The kitchen opens up to the family room and the stove faces the lake so you can enjoy the views while cooking. French doors lead to the vaulted ceiling master bedroom with a slider out to the deck.

There are two spacious bedrooms on the upper level. The first has a double bed while the second has two sets of twin bunk beds. Both also have great views of the lake. The expansive three level wood deck overlooks the lake and runs the full length of the house with nice built-in bench seats so that you can fully soak in the spectacular evening sunsets. The water is shallow close to shore and offers a sand bottom that is excellent for kids of all ages to swim and relax. There are two single person kayaks with life jackets that you can use to venture out on your own. The 100’ long dock offers a 10’ x 8’ sunning platform that reaches out to deeper water so you can dock your own boat or rent one from several places around the lake.

This is a home with real neighbors who live here year round, so please be respectful of them. Parking is limited to three spaces so plan accordingly.

The excellent location is close to Gun Lake Casino, Yankee Springs State Park with its expansive sandy beaches and inflatable water slide, Golf Courses, Gilmore Car Museum and the Bay Pointe Inn, which is just across the cove. We are less than one mile from the Barry County state hunting land for those looking for a fall hunting retreat.

We had a restful and relaxing stay. The home seemed professionally decorated with beautiful touches throughout. The place didn't lack anything, from soaps, shampoo, paper products and towels, they thought of everything which is nice to not have any surprises. I would definitely recommend this place.

The location and home was perfect for us to visit our daughter's family. The house is charming and comfortable. I would recommend a couple things to consider. A king size bed, a blind over glass doors for evening and a door lock that was easier.

My family and I had a wonderful week stay. We spent most our days fishing from dock and swimming in the lake! The house had everything we needed, and it is literally right on the water! Had so much fun making memories with my kids, we would definitely go back and do it again!

The house, the property, and the lake was absolutely perfect! Owners, Mark and Kim, have created a space that is beautiful and not only lived up to expectations, far exceeded them. From the comfortable, beachy decor, to the outdoor deck with plenty of amenities we could not have been more happy with our choice to stay at "Gun-A-Love-It". We've already booked our next stay!

We booked a week on the lake as a home base to visit family and friends around the area. This property was beautiful. It was just the right size with a big open living area. The swim area was large and shallow, perfect for young kids to play and for grownups to float around. When I had a couple questions leading up to our stay, our hosts were immediately responsive and helpful. We were absolutely impressed and had a great experience!

This property was perfect for bringing family and friends together. It was just as advertised, with lovely decor inside and a beautiful lakefront setting outside! Enjoyed all of the little extras provided such as TP, shower supplies, kitchen and laundry supplies. Just the right size for us! Loved all of the patio furniture provided as well. Will book again!

The house is a perfect cottage style home. It is well decorated & very clean! Our family & another family stayed together for the week and enjoyed every moment! Neighbors were very friendly. Fishing was great! The house also has everything you will need to make your lake trip perfect! We brought our boat & loved how nice the dock was. Definitely would recommend!

This is our 2nd time using this property and it's amazing. We love the space - the master bedroom is gorgeous, as is the kitchen. The views from every room in the house onto the lake are gorgeous. We spent our days and evenings on the deck, on the dock, or in the water and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend and we will use this house again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Lake Home! Just steps away from the water and unobstructed views of the lake and gorgeous sunsets! 3 swans will visit you every day. Home is equipped with everything you need and the decor is artfully done.. Peaceful and comfortable!

This house and yard are amazing! The only thing that bothered me was I rented from Monday to Monday so I could enjoy the weekend and the property owner showed up on Saturday to mow the lawn that should of taken 10 mins and instead took 45 mins I feel like he was checking up on us I’ve never had this happen before n it interrupted our family time! He should of mowed Monday because the guest left at 11 and we came at 4 because of that I will not be renting this house again!
