Off the Beaten Path

The property is extremely nice. It was very clean and well maintained. We especially enjoyed sitting in the Hot Tub in evenings and early mornings watching the whales migrating south. We will be returning soon, before winter hits.

Breathtaking view

This was our first trip to Shelter Cove. We stayed for 3 nights. The unit from the outside is nice in appearance. The location is convenient especially with pizza being two buildings to the South. The parking situation is tricky. I saw one person park on the road because trying to squeeze two vehicles side by side with appropriate spacing on both sides was not possible. I chose to tandem park. The deck was clean with a table, chairs, and, recliners. The hot tub was great. The inside of the unit is well appointed. Nice large couch and love seat. Great ocean views from both the slider and window. It also had a quaint two person dining table. I was excited to use the fireplace, unfortunately the glass was black and the thermostat did not work. The room was so hot that we left the slider open until we went to bed. However we also have a propane fireplace in our home and upon closer examination the pilot light was not what has giving off the heat. There was a good size flame behind that black soot. That is when we noticed that despite having the thermostat turned to 50° and it being uncomfortably warm we would need to turn the fireplace completely off. After doing so the temperature returned to normal. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and dishes. The bed was painfully uncomfortable. Not what I would expect for this price point. The unit was clean. The cleaning charge was high compared to others. The location was impeccable.

This rental had the most beautiful view, money cannot put a price on it. I would stay here a million times over. Shelter cove would be perfect for any family or romantic vacation.
