The INN at Gig Harbor

"The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The walls are thick enough so you can’t hear your neighbors talking, watching tv or using water. The AC unit was quiet which was really nice since they are normally very noisy. The internet isn’t secure, there is no password. The breakfast was fine and had a fair amount of variety. The parking lot did have a nice big light at night. However, I was parked by a tree that was root-bound with exposed roots with moss growing. While trying to load my car, I stepped on one of the slippery roots (the parking slots are narrow) and fell down in the parking lot. Some other guests in the parking lot came over and helped me. Thankfully I didn’t break anything. So don’t park next to the trees."

"Nice hotel room with a little mini kitchen, table to eat at and a comfortable and clean bed. Front desk staff was very nice and friendly. I would stay here again, however I was put into a room directly across from the elevator and could hear that and people coming and going for a few hours until 10 PM which is the beginning of “Quiet Hours” until 7 AM. I would ask specifically for a room not near the elevator next time. I could have gone down and asked to switch rooms but it was only one night and wasn’t too noisy. What was noisy was some constant humming of something right out the back of this place so I had to put on the AC. A tip for them for their free breakfast - what about oatmeal? Everything was carbohydrates, and while I did eat the scrambled eggs, they probably had not just been made. Sort of rubbery tasting. Other than that a very nice place. Not a very convenient area but that’s fine. I would go back."

"Ruth & Scott’ placed fresh flowers from their garden in Huckleberry cabin before we arrived and it was such a nice touch. I really appreciated the stainless steel pots and pan for cooking in & the fresh ground coffee was delicious! The outside lights were delightful. The hot tub was really pleasant and the quiet and peacefulness that surrounds their home is wonderful. Both Ruth and Scott were available when needed and responded quickly to any questions we had. It was so convenient for us to stay at their cabin and the peace and quiet was a welcome gift."
