Beautiful property! Fantastic fishing!

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable visit and Marc was a great host. This stretch of the Shenandoah is loaded with smallmouth bass for those looking to catch some fish.

An awesome Fall stay and get-a-way!!

A beautiful property with gorgeous views. Everything in the listing was provided and then some! The owners did a great job of communicating from start to finish. Very easy drive from the DC/NOVA area with plenty to do! Definitely looking to book this property again.

Our travel buddies and us had a fantastic time at the River Nest! We relaxed and saw the sights that we came to the Shenandoah Valley to see! Our host was great and everything went perfectly. Nestled at River Nest

Inviting and clean property, overlooking a tranquil area of Shenandoah River. Perfect for a girl’s weekend getaway with privacy, relaxation, and enjoyment of nature. Appreciate the complementary river tubes, that 1-mile float was lovely and just the right amount of time taking us 1-hour. I’m sure this place is just as delightful with the fall colors change.

Exceptional Shenandoah Beauty!

Marc is a welcoming and very responsive host! His place is immaculate, has more than sufficient amenities, and a great deck and grounds from which to enjoy the river. We were sad to leave!! It was close to our venue and offered a great place to relax amid wedding activities. Thank you sharing your beautiful place!!

Beautiful on the water

We live this place. The owner is excellent. Left us a small basket of goodies for our anniversary and always has been available for questions. Great small mouth fishing in the Shenandoah river right across the street on the property. The place is quiet, we usually see deer on the property and it is a great place to get away from the rat race.

Beautiful location

Beautiful property. They have everything you need to enjoy the outdoors. It’s pretty clean and cozy. The goat was nice and responsive. The decor is a bit outdated. We didn’t have the best internet connection and I was unaware that you have to leave the main house to go to the second bedroom downstairs. Overall a beautiful property. I would love to try again when the weather is warm so we could enjoy the river.

Mountain Peace River nest fabulousness

This is a lovely little River Nest that is well kept and a wonderful place to disconnect. The owner thought of all the little details to make it feel like a cozy home immediately. The river is wonderful to relax and stay cool in the summer. The local restaurants and people are so friendly and kind. You are 20-30 min to the entrance of the Shenandoah National Park. Take a scenic drive on Skyline Drive or hike the park trails. We did both. This is a little hidden gem worth visiting. I would absolutely stay here again. It was the best vacation with rest and relaxation in a long time.

Restoration by the river

I stayed here with my husband and sister during the fall. It was gorgeous to watch leaves change around the property and enjoy immersion in bird song in the morning. The property is beautiful, with a fire pit that is perfectly placed for evening gatherings. Between river access, fire pits, and generous outdoor seating it’s a nature lovers paradise! We were delighted to discover a smote kit offered by the host and great communication throughout our experience. Our only complaint is there are train tracks on the mountain above the property. This generally was a source of novelty, but bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

PERFECT WEEK . . exciting too!!!!

Shenandoah River FLOODED . . got there after it receded some . . went around one ROAD CLOSED SIGN & 6'' in one spot & then enjoyed the heck out of our trip . . the coolest part was hearing the ''rumbling'' of a freight train on one side & the ''roaring'' of a river on the other. Everything was clean & neat & well stocked . . enjoyed the geese, hummers, & one neighborly deer . . groceries & restaurants weren't far . . terrific week . . thank you Marc . .

Had a wonderful time here. Clean and just what we were looking for. Loved the no wifi and using the dvd player to watch old classics with my 4 year old son! Host was speedy in answering questions amd super helpful when we had soms plans change. Would def stay again if we are up that way again!

We had a fabulous time. When we drove onto the property it more than lived up to expectations. The house was like a warm hug. The owner was very accommodating and timely with his responses. We will be back to make more memories if he will have us.
