"I'd been to a couple of events at the Sheridan Inn over the years and I'd always wanted to see more of this beautiful, historic property, so I finally booked a stay. It was worth every penny. There was plenty of parking, and the staff was able to work through a state-wide power outage to get me checked in even though their reservation system was down. The room was absolutely gorgeous and extremely well-appointed, and I had a great night's sleep in an incredibly comfortable bed. Prior to that, I took the chill off in front of a roaring wood fire in the lobby. Breakfast in the morning offered a variety of options, and the food was terrific. Before checking out, I spent a little time exploring the seating area on the north side of the third floor, which was one more pleasant surprise. The owners have done this classic Inn justice, updating a historical icon to meet modern expectations while maintaining its link to the past."
